No one likes a root canal. I had an especially bad one, way in the back up top. The anesthetic needle work(3 of them) were totally painless. The rest of the drilling and filling(though loud) never hurt at all. To me, it’s worth going to an endodontist(rather than a dentist) for the reassurance, and Dr. Roy and his staff were totally professional. Read up on the actual procedure if you can stomach it. It helped me to be able to «follow along», and Dr. Roy did a good job of telling me when he hit the milestones. Take advantage of any offered Halcyon sleeping agent. You just float through it. It”s never actually fun to have any sort of dental work, but I had let this thing go for a couple years, and it was causing weekly pain and annoyance. Dr Roy’s team took care of it in less than 2 hours and with absolutely zero pain.
