This is most definitely a family place and as good as it gets! I walk in and I’m treated like family, and I love it! Portions are definitely more than enough and most certainly the best ribs and mac&cheese I’ve ever had! The chili is also to die for! This is me and my mom’s new favorite BBQ place.

Fantastic BBQ. Had the brisket and pulled pork family combo. You can tell they do it right. Great flavor, smoke ring, slightly burnt ends. Love the vinegar based sauce. Collard greens were good too. Top notch all the way around.

The best BBQ I’ve had in years. I’m so in love with the food. I had the lil smokey, 2 people could easily eat off of it. The ribs were so good that I’m going back to get my son some for dinner. The kids will love the mac and cheese… the beans have brisket in them… awesome! Nice friendly service. fast service. You can taste the fact that the food is prepared fresh. My co-worker had the brisket, I tasted hers… we both loved it. I’m so glad I stopped in.

Very good BBQ. Very nice owner. You can tell they must smoke the meat«out back» and not an electric smoker. They cook their meat fresh every day. A new spot to eat. The potato salad and Mac and cheese were great!

Best BBQ place on the northshore that I’ve found. The brisket was amazing. The ribs had a really good taste to them. The staff was very friendly. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try a good BBQ place!

Sricks N Bones is a great BBQ joint. A couple of days ago I was driving down 59 when I spotted the sign outside Sticks N Bones. It’s been a while since Mandeville has had a legit stick burning BBQ and I was cautiously optimistic that this would be my new go-to place. Since seeing the sign on Monday, I’ve been here twice and I’m glad to report that it’s great. Since the meat is the most important thing at a real BBQ restaurant, I’ll break it down for you. Brisket — Smokey and tender. I have gotten sliced brisket on both trips, but they also offer chopped. For me, brisket is the most important meat a BBQ restaurant offers. Cook it too little and its moist, but tough. Cook it too long and it’s dry and leathery. Their version is cooked to that perfect temperature over real wood which means it’s smokey, juicy and just tender enough that it needs to be cut with a knife, but almost melts in your mouth. It’s the best brisket I’ve had on the northshore. Pork — Great smokey flavor which is difficult to get right when smoking pork. The addition of their vinegar based sauce really kicked up the flavor of this meat. Ribs — Whoa. I know not everyone likes ribs, but their version were great. These ribs weren’t the phony baloney fall of the bone variety you find at boiled meat places. They were slightly firm, but tender and like the rest of the meat, smokey and delicious. Chicken — I opted for white meat so it was slightly dry, but smokey and the skin was perfect. This is the one meat I needed sauce on, but with it, it was great. Sides — So far I have tried the beans, potato salad and mac n cheese. All have been good, but I think my next trip will be meat only. No matter how good the sides are, they can’t compare to that smoked meat. I am really excited that this restaurant has opened. i hope it sticks around a very long time. If you’re on the northshore and love BBQ, get yourself to Sticks N Bones ASAP.

Mandeville has been lacking a good BBQ joint ever since Creech’s closed many years ago, so, I was excited when I saw Sticks N Bones Bar-B-Que getting ready open up. Seeing another review I decided to check it out. The décor is nice, but the table coverings seemed Hawaiian style. Maybe it’s me, but, I think the red/white checkered table cloths throw off BBQ nostalgia. One other thing is to remove the toys that the kids can play with at the table. I just wonder how many other kids have played with it before mine. Ok, enough of that… the food. The Q was awesome, tender with the perfect amount of hickory smoke. I had the Big Smokey which got me pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. All were great! Additionally, I had the baked beans and potato salad for sides and they were good. Now, one of my pet peeves… portion size. I’ve eaten at Voodoo bbq and have seen them plating, using a scale to weigh out how much meat goes on your plate. You don’t have to worry about that here, sandwiches and platters come stacked. If you can appreciate that, check them out!
