Regular customer and usually enjoy my experience here. My last visit the pharmacy checkout took forever … I allowed myself 15 minutes … 5 to do some browsing and 5 –10 to check out, but completely lost my patience when I was next in line and they decided to help the person behind me instead… Sure she was waiting on a prescription that they did not have enough in stock.(Which has been happening frequently to me here too) …then they had the wrong price on it… Needless to say my window for waiting was up and I needed to pick up my kids from church. I came back after 10 stop lights and horrible road construction to the drive thru… Again I had to wait forever for someone to help me… The pharmacy assistants were rude and unfriendly and had no concept of customer service. Thinking of changing my prescriptions back to CVS! Oh and by the way… I still didn’t get the items I had wanted to purchase so they lost a $ 50 sale.

24 hour Walgreens on 190& Saint Ann, Mandeville. I love & hate this place all at the same time! In any case, I’m here so often a review is long overdue. Pros — 24 hour Pharmacy is awesome. I’ve needed this convenience for emergencies in the middle of the night. — The pharmacists are great! If there’s an issue with insurance, Rx price increase, cease in manufacturing, etc… They seem to genuinely care & will go above & beyond to help. Cindy has helped me many times. — When your prescriptions are at one Walgreens, the info is at all Walgreens. This can be super helpful during a hurricane evacuation to another state. — While you wait for your Rx’s to be filled you can shop. They have some good specials(at times) — buy one get 1 free or, ½ off, $ 2 off cottonelle, school supplies, makeup, razors. — The balance rewards card points do add up! You can find items on special, ie: this week get 3,000 bonus points when you purchase x. This = cash back. — They have pretty great soft drink specials often. 312 pack coke products for $ 10. — Drive thru to pickup an emergency Rx at 2am in your PJ’s… Priceless. — Redbox & Chase ATM inside store. — Cosmetics usually has someone working that area. They’re very helpful! People working this area have informed me of coupons/specials not advertised. Ask them! Also, checking out here benefits the employee & you! Cons –The majority of the pharmacy support staff seems to have a very high turnover. The people I get frequently seem: Inadequately trained To have a poor attitude To have poor listening skills This can be extremely frustrating, time wasting & dangerous.(I’ve gone home with someone else’s Rx three times.) — The drive thru pharmacy gets severely(30−45min. Wait!!) clogged at times. It must be the same people from my bank’s ATM line! The ones who decide 10 transactions & major banking is a rad idea with 5 cars waiting!!! — This place gets crowded! It’s in a popular location & as such it gets lots of people! Stay away during peak hours: 5 – 7 pm weekdays/11 – 4 Saturdays. — The parking lot is a scary place. Tons of people on phones, in minivans with 6 screaming kids &DVD player going, backing out without looking… You get the picture… I have no idea how there aren’t accidents every few hours! Enter & Exit this lot with GREAT care. — Checkout lines can get pretty clogged during peak hours. In pharmacy & front of store. — This is going to sound horribly high maintenance of me… Oh well. Here it is: there are several brands not carried by Walgreens that I miss. — This one is not Walgreens responsibility. Lastly, I feel like a traitor shopping here. I have small business guilt… at times. Then, I think why don’t the small, locally owned pharmacies have better hours!!! If they want my business, be more competitive in this saturated market!!! Stay open later! At least one night a week! Stay Open later on Saturdays! How about even having an emergency option? An answering service that contacts them. Oh Lawd!!! I got off on a tangent there… That’s all I have to say about that.

This is a very nice Wal-Greens and the first I have seen that is carpeted. They’ve always got good specials going during which can get 12 packs of coke and pepsi products CHEAP! They also have a rewards system where you can earn money back on different purchases. Who wouldn’t like that?

Very convenient location. The post office is right across the street and several other business are nearby. This location can get pretty busy at times. I have been here at all hours of the day since they are open 24⁄7. Whether you are getting a prescription filled, photos printed, or grabbing a bunch of flowers for your woman cause you screwed up, you’ll find it all here. Looking for a quick bite to eat? I’ve even visited here to grab some lunch when pressed for time. Pricing on some items can me higher than at a grocery store but there are deals to be found here. As far as prescription prices, if you have a c-pay, that’s all you pay. If you’re paying cash, shop around. You may be able to find a better price elsewhere. But if you’re looking to get medicine that you need right away and it’s after normal business hours, then Walgreens’ is definitely worth it. In the many years that I have been using this location for prescriptions, there has only been a couple of times that they didn’t have the medicine. When this happens, they will usually check another location and transfer the prescription to have it filled for you.

This is a nice Walgreen’s. It is much nicer than the Florida St. location. It is clean and the employees are friendly. Since it is open 24 hours, you can head there at 2 am on Christmas eve and pick up some gifts. Apparently this location also has a take care clinic staffed by a nurse practitioner. I have never used that service but it does seem like a good idea. They give flu shots and diagnose minor health issues. There is also a Chase ATM near the front door.
