I went into this store and they didn’t have what I wanted in stock so I ordered it online through the cashier. She told me it would ship within 3 – 5 business days. Shipping from the store is free, but you will have to wait. Not only did I not get any shipping information, the item only left the facility 8 days later. When I called customer service, she was rude and dismissive. She lied to me saying that the item is shipped and that I would only receive notification after it was delivered. What kind of customer service is this? This store is highly over-priced anyways, so I definitely am saving my money but avoiding it altogether now.

I had a little time before going to my Apple store appointment and there was a sign out side of Anthropologie saying 20% off everything. Well ok, I’m all for that. Now for clarification purposes, this store has always been a bit on the pricey side and you need to be on the skinny side to fit in most of the things they offer, but as I have a daughter I figured let me take a look at this stuff and I might find a Christmas gift. I guess I did not look the part to be shopping in this store. I was ignored by at least 3 employees. And by ignored I mean not one employee so much as asked me if they could help me find anything. So much for greeting customers and making them feel welcomed. I browsed the home interior things and the clothes and accessories section. I wasted enough time to head over to the Apple store and not drop a dime in this place. I have visited the Boston downtown location and that store is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Anthropologie for helping me keep my wallet safe and sound and away from your register. Your stuff is way to expensive for real people, with real budgets.

Overall a good experience. I went to check out the Greenvale one on the day it closed down. Turns out this location is in Manhasset, next to the Apple store just adjacent to the ever-snooty Americana Mall. It’s easy to miss because i asked several people and they had no idea where it was. It’s east of Crate and Barrel, in the same parking lot as Apple, next to City Sports. Dressing rooms are downstairs and salesppl were helpful enough without being over bearing or snobby. I hope it does well here, though it seems people who shop at Americana are more into showy stuff, but who knows! I love looking at their ceramics, jeans, tops, and décor. Lounge wear there has lasted me a long time.
