Banana Republic

One of the best Banana Republic’s I’ve ever visited! The clothes are neatly and beautifully displayed and the staff is lovely. I usually have a difficult time finding my size and styles that will actually work with my body type (petite but still womanly) but everyone from the manager Carolyn, the assistant manager Amanda, to the sales associates and cashiers made my shopping experience top notch! They all worked as a cohesive team, and didn’t waste a moment to see if I needed anything as well as looking up items that are not carried in the store to ensure I could purchase everything I wanted. The array of accessories, especially the jewelry, is dazzling. I have been in a few times in the past month and each time I receive superior service. Everyone here is nice and friendly as well as helpful. I hope other Banana’s take a cue from this outstanding store. Well done!

I love the clothes at Banana. Most of the time, regardless of the store, customer service is pretty good. Today, I got the best of the best and the worst of the worst.
I purchased a dress on line which I needed to exchange for a different size. Long story short, I exchanged it at the Manhasset store. when I got the new dress home, it was missing the belt. A quick phone call to the store solved the problem: Carolyn was extremely helpful and found the belt, and said it would be in an envelope at the checkout.
Today, I went to the store to pick up the belt and ended up doing additional shopping because of their great sale. At the checkout, I found out about the «friends and family» event that Banana has from time to time. I hadn’t received anything in the mail or via email, but was excited about getting additional items thanks to the sale. I indicated that I wasn’t aware of the sale and hadn’t received any notification, but the thin Asian woman who was working the fitting room insisted that I must have forgotten my coupon and continued to tell the clerk «she got one, she just doesn’t remember.» Enough already, but no. There little woman must have repeated at least six times. No point arguing with someone who obviously doesn’t understand how customers should be treated.
Kudos and thanks to Carolyn though, she’s a real asset to Banana.

Very nice banana republic store at the americana mall in Manhasset. The staff is friendly and helpful and the clothes are always organized.
Compared to other stores in the city and roosevelt field mall, the clothes are not thrown everywhere/​on the floor. Also convenient to go to if I return online purchases but don’t feel like shipping back.
Always ample parking in this area, fitting rooms are tidy and well lit. Also convenient that they have the revolving door if I end up with a lot of bags and am unable to open the door myself.
Sales here are better than the website sometimes so I like to do a price check online with items I see at the store. Overall good store to go to if you’re in the area.
