Great pasta, pizza, salad and ambiance! We ordered salmon salad, veggie pasta, the tomato soup was delish!

Our first visit to this restaurant was last summer. It was a sunny Saturday evening. They opened up the entire back of the restaurant to let in a nice breeze and of course, the place was packed. I had the Robiola personal pizza with Truffle oil, and it was delicious. I don’t know if their food is as good as others make it out to be, but it wasn’t a disappointment. The place is okay. It certainly didn’t help to have the noisy party outside being heard deep inside the restaurant, and nobody doing anything about it. Really, other than that, the service was good and I can see many people being happy with their experiences here.

Average lunch menu. I get the calamari, arugula salad and Mozzarella basil panini. It’s a nice place to have lunch while shopping at the Americana mall. Lively crowds of people and super friendly and attentive waiters. When it’s warm they offer outdoor seating. I like the fresh air and people watching.

Go here with my girlfriend for champagne lunch every few months. Service is always great, atmosphere very nice, and consistent. Beautiful people everywhere but no one turned their noses up at us that we came in sweats right from the gym! Prices more reasonable than you would expect.

I was looking forward to dining here since I’ve heard so much about it from others. The ambiance is very nice outside with the lamps. Inside is a bit cramped. The food was very pricey and nothing spectacular. I had their squid linguine with lobster and it was tasteless. Other members of my party didn’t think their dishes were particularly good either. I don’t understand the hype. Dinner for 3 adults and one child was almost $ 300. I won’t be returning here.

Cipollini is another case where there’s nothing WRONG with the restaurant per sé, in fact it’s a nice place to eat I think– the problem lies in the pricing. It’s very simple, if you’re going to charge high end prices, every bite we take should be high end. However, some of the stuff here is just painfully average. Personally I’m a huge fan of the seafood salad, but nothing else jumps out at me. They probably don’t have a choice with pricing, given the rent that the Americana probably charges. But then the food should be killer.

Went here for lunch recently. Food was ok, overpriced for a simple panini but it was ok. Hostess was nasty, started to seat our party of 4, but somehow seated another woman while we were following her around like idiots! A waiter finally stepped up and said sit here. Nothing like getting ignored by a hostess! Wait staff was attentive so no problem there. Just didn’t care for the atmosphere in the place, too many people who were trying to seem important sitting around. I also didn’t know they allowed dogs! One woman walked past with a dog that was not tiny, it must have been 10 pounds or so. She sat inside the restaurant with her dog. I was so disgusted when I saw that happening, giving me reasons never to make a return visit! If you have an attitude and like to spend $$ on overpriced food, this is the place for you!

Delicious Italian food and maybe some of the best people watching on the island. Problem is the seating for a party of 2. You eat dinner with the people to the left and right of you. Sort of like you sometimes have to in the city and I try to avoid those restaurants. Go off times and you can avoid this. Prices are up there but it’s the least you can spend at the Americana.

the restaurant is Ok. I have been in numerous other Italian places that were just like it with similar or better food. The only problem is these other places are significantly less money, which means i just cannot help but feel let down. I am not getting what i am paying for. I am paying more and i expect more. Being the same for more because you are in a chic shopping center is no excuse. Sorry. There is also an air or arrogance from the staff that fits really nicely to this upper crust and elitist eatery.

Cipollini is a great example of a restaurant you’d see in the city, but conveniently located right here in long island. The location is great and the atmosphere is nice too. It’s enjoyable to go here when the restaurant is busy because it seems like the food is always fresher and they are more attentive. The pizzas are very good and usually filling(my favorite is the white truffle oil pizza) and their appetizers are pretty good as well. They have a great selection of wines and a nice list of cocktails as well. Definetley a nice place to take family or friends for brunch/early dinner. 4 stars because they are a bit pricy on the appetizers(which are very small portions) and they don’t make their drinks very strong either.

I think this place is a nice 4. I am not going to lie, the first time I came here I was not impressed. I believe I had the salmon dish back then and it was bland. However, the more we come here the more I seem to like the food. Now, I mostly order pasta dishes and appetizers or pizzas and everything is terrific. One of my favorite pastas on the menu is the black linguine with lobster. I love it. My husband swears they have the best chicken parm on the island. The atmosphere is lively and often loud. The crowd is something else however. It is a mix of ‘wonna seem rich’ males and females. It is not uncommon to see a crowd of women in their 30−40s dressed in designer everything, and I am not talking tasteful here. I am talking the flashy, trashy, in your face, logos on everything, from the LV bags to Hermes belts to Chanel everything. However, if you can see past them, you will see a decent amount of couples and families just trying to have a nice dinner in an upscale place. I would recommend checking this place out.

I’ve dined at Cipollini several times over the last few years and I can say, with 100% certainty, it gets a solid three stars each time. The food is no more than a mere«meh,» but it’s a pretty restaurant, has great service(like for real… the service is ONPOINT), and the crowd is always lively. This is NOT a spot for foodies, you will be disappointed. It’s a spot for those who want to have a few drinks and nosh, not thinking about the food, while chatting with their friends and family… and that’s totally fine for nights that call for this type of experience. My go-to dish is the grilled calamari and arugula salad. It’s not great, pretty plain, but it’s always fresh and filling. Their wine menu is pretty large and they have a decent selection of cocktails. I also recommend taking a look at their pizzas. Though I’ve never had, they look good and a lot of people seem to order them. What’s really nice is in the summer months, they have outdoor dining. My most recent visit, which was on a chilly October night, they had outdoor fireplace-type things set up for people to enjoy that same experience but not freeze, a nice touch.

Amazing greek salad. Best italian restaurant on long island in Americana mall. Very good food and fresh bread in a very nice atmosphere and location. the robiola pizza and octopus are necessary to try because they are so yummy!

Love the boisterous Italian cantina feel of this place. Handsome elegant and well appointed. The waiters are awesome typical of Italian trattorias– most if not all are foreign. Start with their thin crust pizza and the go from there. Lively bar scene and beautiful people. The reception podium feels a tad like the Cossa Nostra but adds to the charm. Don’t expect a quiet meal, come to get loud. Buon mangiare.

Cipollini: Just because you’re in Americana and most of your clients have a high six figure household income, doesn’t mean you have to go out of your way to be uninviting. Instead of showing us to our table, the host told us to go to the back and find a round table for 6 close to the kitchen. Since it was pretty busy, we figured it would be the only table available and easy to spot, but every table was taken and we obviously couldn’t find ours and were aimlessly walking through the restaurant looking for the table. The food is OK at best with the truffle pizza being the best thing there. I think they changed their tiramisu recipe a while back — it doesn’t taste like tiramisu any longer. I’ve been here at least 5 times and it seems they just don’t care anymore since their regular patrons are used to the food at this point. Hopefully they switch up the management /kitchen staff.

Had dinner here with another couple and with the exception of the front of the house being a bit scatterbrained, Cipollini was firing on all cylinders. Food and service was excellent. Although outdoor seating looked pretty inviting, we opted to sit inside. For some strange reason, the middle of the restaurant is crazy loud whereas the front and the back didn’t appear to be as noisy. Ask to be seated in those areas if possible. We ordered tons of food. I particularly enjoyed the Fritto Misto, the clams oreganata, the chicken under a brick and the Robiola pizza. They could stand to dial back on the truffle oil in the pizza. While it was delicious, It was extremely oily. This is a great place to bring a small group or finicky diners as the menu is varied and has something for everyone.

Well we’re back late on a Thursday night. The place is jumping as usual. Having a nice ½ bottle of Domaine Drouhin. Hitting the spot! The special appetizer served is burata cheese on fennel topped with honey. Really quite spectacular The entrée is pork tenderloin on a bed of Brussel sprouts, fingerling potatoes And mushrooms. The dish is tender and tasty. Having a great time. So is everyone else

Had a great time at the bar. Asked the bartender to prepare a surprise beverage. And he prepared a nice melon refreshing drink. When it comes to dinner I had a healthy meal chicken pilar. Grilled chicken with baby grape tomatoes and arugula. Fresh and not filling. I had the pleasure of sitting next to what I think was Diane sawyer whom was entertaining some Asian friends. It was my wife’s friends birthday so for dessert we ordered every dessert on the menu. They where all excellent except the Greek yogurt with some Carmel sauce it was terrible. Place was noisy but overall a good time!

No matter how hard I try, I just always end up disappointed. I have been here many times over the past few years and ordered various dishes and appetizers. The acoustics are always too loud, the food is average but pricey. Again, it caters to a certain element of trendy people. It’s very sceneish.(Yes, I just made that word up). I will say in all fairness to the owners and polite staff and bartenders, it is pretty to look at, and there is outdoor seating, which is always nice, but I think I would rather come here for an occasional cocktail out with friends rather than sit and have a meal here.
