OK, this is not a one star review based on the food(which is always sometimes between 2 and 3 for standard chain restaurants). This one star review is based solely on service(or lack thereof). As can be expected on any given weekend, this place was packed and there was a wait. I put my name in for my party of 5 and had a seat. About 20 minutes passed and lots of people started to leave, so I figured we were about due since almost everyone who had gotten there before us had gotten seated. The hostess seated a party of the same size as mine(they were the last group that came in before me) and then inexplicably took a group of 7 which came in 10 minutes after me and seated them. Given the fact that I’m neither blind nor deaf, I walked up to the hostess and asked her what the deal was. She admitted that yes, I had gotten there first and that yes, my name was ahead of the party of 7. When I asked why the hell she would seat them first, she said«Well, they requested this specific waitress and once a table opened that she serviced, I gave it to them». I looked at her like she had 2 heads and asked her if that was the way things worked here, specifically if I made a special request for a certain server if I could skip the line. She looked at me like I just farted in her face and she said, «Well, there’s another table that might be getting up soon so I’m sure you won’t have to wait that long». I’m not one to be brushed off by IHOP hostesses so I made her get the manager. When I told him what happened, he said that what she did was entirely improper and that she should have seated us first. While he apologized, he did nothing to discipline this horrible employee and I told him to his face in front of her that he should fire this employee who clearly doesn’t understand how to treat customers. I’m not looking for special treatment but I do want to be treated the same as everyone else who is waiting to pay money. The manager did nothing to make up for his employee’s stupidity so an additional 5 minute wait ensued while they scrambled to clear a table and ironically enough, they sat me right next to the table of 7 who jumped me in line to be served by the same server(she was great BTW). I seriously hope whomever owns this IHOP reads this and fires both the hostess and the manager since they clearly have no clue how to treat patrons. If they both happen to still be gainfully employed at this location the next time I stop by, I will be highly disappointed.

Was pleasantly surprised on how good the service was. I stopped by cause was in the food for some pancakes. And why not come here for that. I was seated right away, by the hostess, I already knew what I wanted and told the waitress. Five minutes later the food was on my table. What else can you really ask for from a chain restaurant, fast and easy service.

I never been to this location so my friend Andrea G. popped my cherry today: wink:! The parking lot was super packed when we arrived. I went inside to see how long is the wait for a table and the girl with the clipboard mentioned it was less than 5 mins. She gave me a nice tip about parking next door at the funeral home. That was so convenient and my friend did an U turn over to the funeral home. Definitely plenty of parking spaces towards the back so be kind to the funeral home’s customers and don’t park in the spaces at the entrance. We cut through the little path between the tree brushes. I already knew what I wanted when I spotted the picture of Chicken & Pumpkin Spice Waffle *hubba hubba*! When it was time to order, our server told me that there was no more pumpkin batter and I frowned like a little girl. She took my friend’s order of Spinach & Mushroom Omelette + a stack of Original Buttermilk Pancakes with a pot of decaf coffee. My eyes were fixated on the festive flavors menu but I ended up getting a combo of Sunny Side-Up Eggs + 2 Slices of Bacon + Berries & Cream Belgian Waffle. I jokingly told the server that I am pretending this is the pumpkin batter mmmmm *she looked at me and smile* hehehe Definitely a more festive and clean IHOP location so check it out when you are hungry!

Not bad for what it is. I have to admit this is the best IHOP I have ever been to. I went here to make my girlfriend happy because I have had only bad experiences at IHOP’s before. But I have to admit this place was pretty darn well run. Also I didn’t feel sick after, so that’s a plus. We went on Halloween, which is a weird day to go to IHOP, but it was nice. The waiters and waitresses were all dressed up in individual costumes. There was even a box to leave a vote on who wore the best costume. Have to admit it was a nice touch. The only negative is I had to wait a long time for coffee. The only reason I went is because I wanted to drink a bunch of coffee and it didn’t come until halfway through the meal. But, it was busy and Halloween so they get a pass. I can understand its a rough day. They still have the non-maple syrup, «syrups made out of high fructose corn syrup». So I avoid that stuff and felt ok.

Hey ihop! It’s been years since i’ve been to an ihop. Nothing much has changed which is exaclty what i wanted… Except the gosh-darn SYRUPS. What happened to all the sugary berry syrups?! Is this some kind of joke? I came here for boysenberry syrup! I was so sad. How long ago did this happen? Lol all jokes aside, despite being busy, my boyfriend and i were served very quickly :) had an ok waitress with no problems. Garrett had stuffed french toast which was DELICIOUS but slightly cold. It was soft raisin bread toast with cream in parts of the center doused in strawberry syrup. I had the strawberry rhubarb cream cheese crêpe which was SO good. It came with a combo of two eggs, hash browns, bacon and sausage. The crêpe was so sweet and soft. Creamy cream cheese filling to die for. Sweet but a good«ihop» kind of sweet. Basically a dream meal. Again some things were cold but it’s ihop. Fancier fast food. Bill was great. Around $ 9 for each of us for A LOT of food. My boyfriend was skeptical at first but i made him a believer. Hopefully i’ll have an excuse to come back soon :) (Still sad about the boysenberry syrup but i’ll live)

It’s IHOP who doesn’t love it? The thing is the service, horrific. When my family and I went in(keep in mind we never eat at American restaurants) they didn’t even notice us. When they did they didn’t even greet us so we took initiate and went to sit down. As we went the waitress rudely said that we don’t sit ourselves they have to seat us. All in all the food itself was okay. We got the food in a timely matter and everything else was okay.

Who doesn’t love IHOP. We go once a year, which is more than I can say for diners, when we have a morning doctor visit and we need some time and space to be with each other. Reminds me of my childhood, Saturdays there with dad after tennis. Of course it’s not as awesome or hip or creative as some restaurants popping up, and their healthy menu is so limited, but if you like the basics with great staff and lots of kids reminding you of when you used to order and never finish the Happy Face(chocolate chip) and good memories with your parents, it’s cozy and nice. Don’t come expecting some hipster or upscale-copying joint… Just old school with lots and lots of sugar, fat, cholesterol, and smiles.

Let me start off by saying the food, service, and establishment were all fairly good — your quintessential standard fair IHOP. So why the«A-OK» rating? I guess I’m spoiled by the Commack location. There were 3 things I noticed about this Manhasset location compared to Commack: 1. It has a comparatively smaller dining room. 2. They don’t service carafes of orange juice. Really?!? 3. I love ham and their ham steak is literally about half as think as the one I get in Commack. In addition, I thought it tasted okay but my wife really didn’t like it, she said it was really bland. In addition, every time I go to the Commack one, the manager is right there welcoming me and my family. He always remembers us and adds a personal touch during every visit. So as far as IHOPs are concerned, Commack is the gold standard in my book. Sorry Manhasset.

I love IHOP and I love this location the most. I love the blueberry pancakes. I also love the scrambled eggs and the hash browns. They have good coffee. It is hard to park here so you have to time your visit carefully. Get here very early in the morning or around 2:30 in the afternoon to get a parking spot. The waitress or waiter that serves me and my family are the best. They are very nice. We are always greeted as soon as we walk in. This is a great place.

Wait staff has been decent whenever I have come here. Occasionally, I will have a really snooty waitress but working at iHop isn’t the easiest. I think serving breakfast can be very stressful(probably more than any other meal of the day). Blueberry Pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash browns… delicious. Good value. Of course it isn’t healthy. I think I love this location so much because of the location. Something about being in Manhasset, and eating pancakes on a weekend morning, and visiting the shopping centers afterwards.

The bar is pretty low on an IHOP, but our server managed to crawl under it. The problem began and ended with our server. She was surliness personified. Let’s start with the order: «How do you want your eggs?» «Scrambled and well-d…» «Thanks» turns on heel and walks away. Had to work hard to flag her for extra water. Later, our 2 year old son was coughing(not choking) on a piece of waffle. Another server went to the kitchen and got a little cup of ice water with a straw. Our waitress? Busy being a chatterbox on the farside of the cashier. I stiffed her on the tip and tipped her coworker, saying, «I know you all probably share tips, but you deserve this — she doesn’t.» Like I said, setting new lows(and highs for the other server) at an IHOP.

My experience at this ihop was horrendous. Im giving it an extra star because the food was actually decent tasting. The service on the other hand makes me want to go eat anything else around there. I came upon this location because i was servicing my car at bmw which was a mile away. I will not be returning. When i was seated i waited patiently for a server which i then had to flag down. And when i finally did flag her down she didnt even realize that i was her patron. She asked jokingly«oh are you mine?» Which i then replied«I dont know am i» then she said«oh at this time we switch so I dont know what is what». Which i’m sure they didnt switch because what restaurant switches at 2:30pm? That’s fine. It didnt matter to me. I then ordered my appetizer sampler with a loaded potato soup and rib tips with mashed potatoes. They food came out at a decent time. Everything tasted good and was hot. I was not unhappy with that. But after my food came out i never saw my waitress again. I had to flag her down for water, tobasco sauce and the check. And when i did ask for the check she left for 10 mins which then i proceeded to stand up and wait by the table. And even as i was standing she came back to her section but never to my table. I then walked over to the front counter to pay and left. I totally could have skipped out on the bill but she wouldnt have noticed because she was too busy chatting with one other table. It’s a shame because i service my car in that area all the time and i will not be returning. Next time i will go to tgif which is closer to bmw.

Great place to have a quick breakfast. I had steak and egg last Sunday and it was delicious. I arrived there at 9:20 am and it wasn’t that crowded.

Stopped in here the other day around 3:30PM with a friend. The place was busy, mostly with kids from the nearby Catholic school, but we were promptly seated and given menus. Our very pleasant waitress appeared shortly thereafter to take our order. I got bacon & eggs from the 55+ menu and my friend got a salad. It didn’t take long for our food to arrive and it was good, standard IHOP fare. While not fine dining by any means, this IHOP provides good food and good service at reasonable prices.

The service is pretty poor here. My food want very warm and when I asked for water and ketchup the waitress seemed annoyed. She also just dropped off the check without us asking for it or asking if we wanted anything else. I wouldn’t come back.

For a crowded free pancake day the service was pretty good. I was glad to learn that this was a fundraising event for Children’s Miracle Network. The short stack of pancakes came to our table super fast. The waitress was helpful. We ordered other menu items which also came out very quickly. The warm maple syrup delicious. My only recommendation is a larger waiting area. They are always packed!

It’s an IHOP, kids. it ain’t brain surgery. The reason it has«PANCAKES» in the name is because that’s what they do best. If you have a steak and it’s not good, well, why would that be? BECAUSEIT’S A PANCAKEHOUSE! We always get a friendly waitress and with large groups of kids they are very accommodating. Good for that pancake jones you get every now and then. Not cheap for pancakes, but a known element. Consistent. That’s worth something.

Typical IHOP. Very nice staff, haven’t had one unpleasant interaction at this location yet. The parking lot can get packed beyond belief(as is with almost any IHOP I’ve been to in NY), so I recommend you come either at 7−8AM or come around 12pm for a late breakfast. *Just a little tip — next door there is a funeral home, and I’m not sure if this is legal, but even some waiters inside of IHOP told us that it «ok» to park there, rather than stuff your car into the ihop parking lot with much tighter spaces and increasing the risk that your car will be almost inevitably scratched by some doofus opening their car door.
