This was the worst customer experience imaginable. The product is also iffy. Purchased a mattress in August delivered in September. Was unhappy, decided to upgrade to an ILE which was on promotion. Did that in October, still don’t have the bed. They failed the delivery 3 times because they came at the wrong time or didn’t in one case have the proper complete mattress. Each time I had someone wait hours for the delivery. Each time you call customer service it is a 1 hour wait. Go ahead and try now to see what I mean. They are so apologetic for their«new system.» Calling the store yields multiple apologies and then being told there is nothing they can do because you have to call customer service. All in all, a mediocre product and the worst customer service I ever encountered. I got my credit card refunded in full and ordered a mattress from Costco. A week later I am still waiting for the call from sleep number to give me an appt to have the bed removed. I may have to just put it to the curb for sanitation. Do not use this company you will regret it.

I visited Sleep Number for the first time on a mission through the Smiley360 program(full disclosure: they might be sending me a free product) and learned about their offerings with no pressure. The sales guy wasn’t pushy about selling anything, especially once he learned that my current mattress is only 6 months old, but was more focused on explaining what their mattresses can do, since I’d never had the luxury of resting my tired body on their air tops. As far as the testing process, I appreciated the disposable pillow covers they lay out before you rest your head on one of the demo beds. I thought their high tech ceiling-projected demo was pretty cool, especially the live images of my body weight distributed on one of their P6(Performance Series) beds. The concept of each person having an ideal sleep«number» to which the air coils are adjusted is intriguing, but I didn’t love the feel of that bed. At my suggestion I tested out one of their memory foam beds too and was in heaven, didn’t want to get up… although I wondered, doesn’t the memory foam cancel out the benefit of any air technology underneath? Oh well, another question to be explored another day when I am actively shopping for a bed. Check out Sleep Number through Smiley’s mission –
