I’ve been seeing Dr. Lazarus for 3 years now and always enjoy my visits there. He is passionate about his work, extremely thorough, and has a breadth of knowledge you will not find elsewhere. It is obvious he really cares about his patients and wants to understand your concerns. His staff is always friendly and pleasant. I am grateful to have him as my optometrist!

Dr. Lazarus was amazing! He was right on time for my appointment and made me feel great about being there. I didn’t feel rushed and he actually took the time to listen to everything I had to say (which I feel is very rare nowadays!). He was very thorough and super friendly. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Lazarus recently as a new patient. I rarely take the time to post a review, but I was so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, and friendliness that I wanted to post a review.
I highly recommend Dr. Lazarus. He is very outgoing, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. He does not rush your visit, but instead takes the time to get to know his patients and provide them with the highest quality of care.
I encourage you to visit him for your optometry needs.

The trouble with most reviews is that they are not peer reviews. The fact that a doctor wants to spend more time during the exam and be through is something that should be looked forward to and be desired. Since I am an optometrist and am familiar with Dr. Lazarus’s reputation, I can say that this is completely wrong. Gary Lazarus is one of the most competent and throughly trained ODs I know. He not only has his doctorate in Optometry but has also achieved a Ph.D. He is a faculty member at an optometry school and I would not hesitate to have him care for my vision.

We regret any inconvinience caused in your scheduled eye exam since the normal wait time after check in is approximatelly 10 minutes. Two calls where made to my office manager as I experienced unforseen heavy traffic at that time of day. I personally called you to apologize when I arrived.

I had an appointment for an exam at 11:00 am and the receptionist said Dr. Lazarus was stuck in traffic. I left the office after waiting for 45 minutes. Feel bad for the nice receptionist, but you shouldn’t own your own business if you can’t show up on time for your appointments.
