Magic Rainbow Pre-School

Magic Rainbow Terrible.
Our child attended just by luck Sadly we had a divorce and the court stated while deciding outcome our child had to attend a pre school right between the places of work. (child had gone a few times so it was forced on us).
As an educator for 15 years I have seen it all.
All quality begins and ends with owner. She is an uneducated, poorly trained lady who underpays her staff and attracts the lowest performers.
The facility is adjacent to one of the busiest intersection in So Cal dumping pollutants into small children’s lungs non-​stop. I entered the facility multiple times with new employees not knowing who I was and just roamed to find my child.
The boss’s favorite activities are playtime, naps, and breaks (sure a lot of downtime). This is a trick that daycares play to make sure they are not working.
Owner once wanted to show Star Wars to my 4 year old. She did not get it. I gently tried to convey that seeing a lead character get his hand cut-​off might not be a best choice for kids, she was insulted and angry (showed the film anyways), and punished my child in isolation for me saying something. I found out after.
It is incredibly easy for a naïve and untrained parent to mistake a person’s sweetness (the owner) for quality.
Education is filled with little tricks to get parents to back-​off, and this owner knows a few of them (to give good first impressions).
I had no proof, but as a former drug counselor in an outreach program, OWNER had many of the same traits as reformed addicts including an inability to make eye contact and stay still.
They opened a kinder to generate more money and every time I came in they were learning ZERO and could not imagine reading or mathematics might be appropriate. The hand picked teacher for kinder by the owner, had never taught one day in her life and would over and over teach numbers and colors and say «good job.».
To the untrained parent, a sweet kinder teacher may be enough (but having seen thousands of kids enter kinder with the ability to already read), the trained know education matters.
High priced babysitting in a highly polluted area with routine transients spotted on the corner.
Look at the owner, and that always tells you how much quality exist in facility.

Absolute best daycare in the South Bay. We are moving to WI soon and so my son is leaving there and it’s the one thing I’m the most sad about leaving behind here. My son learned so much here– it’s very much a «it takes a village to raise a child» type place. The teachers are wonderful and the kids learn so much and do so many activities. My 2 year old was so excited to go to school everyday and would be bummed on the weekend a when he couldn’t go! Love love love magic rainbow

I love this place! Both of my daughters currently attend Magic Rainbow Pre-​School. I couldn’t imagine sending them anywhere else! After interviewing 6 – 7 preschools in the beach cities, my husband and I finally decided that this was the perfect place for our children to grow and learn. The teachers are AMAZING and the Director, Bonnie, is the sweetest educator and person anyone could meet. Overall, I would recommend the pre-​school to anyone looking for a warm, safe, and nurturing learning environment.

I highly recommend Magic Rainbow Pre-​School! Bonnie the owner is wonderful, warm, and welcoming as is the entire staff at Magic Rainbow! I have two children (age 3 and age 4) enrolled at Magic Rainbow. They LOVE going to «school» every day! There are a variety of enrichment activities and my kids are learning something new every day! The staff are all long term employees who love the kids! Magic Rainbow provides a fun and safe environment for the kids. I’m so grateful to have found this place for my kids before they go off to kindergarten! They are more prepared and confident having been to Magic Rainbow!
