We were really happy with Peter Kelley and Manhattan Painting on the job they did painting the interior of our house, from beginning to end. The quote was solid, the conversations about what exactly we wanted were patient and kind. The work was fast and on time, the place was super clean, and the walls are lovely. And when I had some follow-​up questions, Peter was more than happy to come by and talk. Great job!

The best commentary for any painter is how well the job holds up. Used Manhattan Painting to paint the exterior of my home in M.B. In less than «one» year the paint started bubbling (poor prep). Contacted company to have them come out and look at their work it took them 4 days to return call. Even then the owner wasn’t conscious or aware that I was a past customer. On the positive side I receive an electronic holiday greeting card every year. I do not recommend Manhattan Painting Company.

We recently used MPC when we repainted most of the inside of our house. I had received several bids and met with other painters but was really comfortable with Peter Kelly and happy with the overall pricing. We purposely were out of town during the painting and were extrememly happy when we returned. The paint looked great and the job they did was excellent. I couldn’t find a single drip or spot that needed to be touched up. Overall I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out.

We selected MB Painting Co to paint our new construction house. Not only did they send a second rate crew who had the worst attitudes when we told them they were using the wrong colors for the rooms, they were completely unprofessional and had to re-​do things numerous times. Peter the owner was also never available and when he would come over to check the job it was never his crews problem. How? I don’t know as his second rate crew was the only team in the house painting!
We ended up having our entire house repainted (inside and out)!! What a waste of money. Look elsewhere for your pain crew, you will thank me.

I live in an apartment so there isnt much that you can do to personalize things but I LOVE color!!! I had seen MPC sign out in a neighbor’s yard, so I gave them a call. I wanted my master bedroom painted a rose pink but I didnt know exactly what shade to go with. I also wanted the living room, second bedroom and both bathrooms painted, I hate white or drab colored walls. I gave Peter the general idea of what I wanted to do and he was way more than accomodating! Im so indecisive and he really helped me figure things out. Every step of the way from colors to communication, he and his team worked tirelessly to give me exactly what I wanted. I was anxious to see the final project and maybe hassled them a little bit but they were never cross with me and actually finished everything right on time. There was no paint ANYWHERE but exactly where I wanted it. The pink was perfectly pink and each of the other rooms was transformed into its own personal world. His staff was very informative, courteous and fluent in English which is good for communicating with a single language speaker like myself. I’m not the richest man in Babylon, but Manhattan Painting Company’s bid was something I couldnt pass up. My only complaint is that the guys who did the painting wouldnt accept tips. :)

I have hired Manhattan Painting Company on several occasions and I have always been 100% happy with their work. They have always been on time when there has been an appointment scheduled and they have always completed the work in the time frame quoted to me. They have always been very responsive to requests for touch-​ups and I could not be happier. I ALWAYS recommend Manhattan Painting Company!

We selected Manhattan Painting Company to paint our new house. Their bid seemed fair, and was in the middle-​range of all of the bids we received.
Unfortunately, every step of the way their work was sub-​par and we constantly had to ask them to redo things. They were also difficult to reach and often did not show up to work when they said they would requiring repeated requests for them to come back and work every step along the way. We suspect they had another «more important» job that they were doing and we got stuck with the leftover workers. Not acceptable considering how much money we were paying them.
As for the work, the prep was not very thorough and there were lots of things that we had to ask them to fix afterwards. Missed spots (as in not painted!), drops of paint, gouges in the wall, and just plain sloppy work — all things that a decent painter should notice and fix immediately. We almost ran out of Blue Tape…
Overall, some things look good, but for the most part they did a very sloppy job. If you look close enough, anywhere, there are mistakes. Now we are waiting for them to come back and do the final round of touch-​ups and they have not returned our calls for over a week.
I highly recommend NOT using Manhattan Painting Company. They are not reliable and their work is mediocre at best.

One thing I hadn’t planned on was painting the place inside & out. But when the sellers moved all their stuff out… crikey, it looked terrible.
My real estate agent recommended Peter Kelley, Manhattan Painting, because she knew I would expect a meticulous job. I hired this company before I read all their 5-​star Unilocal reviews, to which I add one more.
The outside of the house is done & the inside is in progress. Peter’s crew consists of some really nice guys who show up every day right on time and they are indeed meticulous.
They take time helping me choose colors, putting samples on the walls, making sure the job is done exactly as I want.
Their work is careful and professional.
Manhattan Painting’s slogan is «We take the pain out of painting.»

Just had my house painted by Manhattan Painting Company. It looks fantastic. The crew was prompt and professional. I keep getting lots of compliments. This is the second time I have used MPC. Years ago they painted the inside of another home I lived in and did a great job.

Manhattan Painting Company made my bedrooms & closets absolutely beautiful! The paint job looks like perfection. The walls, the baseboards, every last detail looks amazing.
The owner, Peter Kelley, is very approachable & knowledgeable. Takes his time to go over the whole project beforehand, then sends you a very competitive proposal.
The crew was very prompt, courteous, & professional. They worked efficiently and got the job done ahead of schedule. They left my house without a trace of debris.
Crew was friendly and I felt completely comfortable while they were working here. I felt comfortable enough to leave the house to run a few errands.

Excellent job & staff, someone’s was able to come to my house with color swatches. all my patio furniture was cover. Guys cleaned up after there selves, and I felt safe leaving my home while they were working.

Manhattan painting company took my home and made it a palace. From owner Peter Kelley vast knowledge of painting and approachable attitude, to color consultant Josh Martinez’s help in color choice, to the fast, friendly, and effeciant crew that came to paint, I could not reccommend this company more

The paint job looks nice from far away, but up close the work is sloppy. They accidentally painted on the window frames and splattered paint on our driveway and a few other places. I’ve called 3 times asking for someone to come and clean up the splattered paint. Someone called back once saying it would be cleaned up, but so far no one has come by and I am no longer getting calls back. I guess they’ve been paid and don’t really care anymore.
