Dr Maryam is very skilled at what she does. I suffered from neck pain, all day, everyday. My dentist referred me out to Dr Maryam because of her specialty in TMJ and braces. She is a true master at this craft. I had braces when I was younger and they destroyed my alignment and was just getting worse with age. I’m 40 now. I wasn’t ready to have another round of orthodontia but I was open to it. I’m am now pain free and have a beautiful smile. My alignment is now where it should be! God bless her for her talent!

Dr. Maryam is the best!!! So happy to have found this place. She cares about looks but mostly about fixing problems to the roots. I come the distance because it is worth it!

In November of 2013, I ended at the ER two days in a row (everything started after a sneeze!) for the second time that year due to what I considered — and was treated for — a severe migraine attack.
Shortly after this, I was referred to Dr. Maryam by my primary doctor. He asked me in my annual physical appointment if I have checked my TMJ as that can be the cause of my headache. To be honest with you, I chuckled at the thought of my jaw being the reason for the excruciating pain I have had experienced in the past, but since I was ready to try anything to never go through that again, I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Maryam and I am absolutely happy I did!
In the first visit and after taking a 3D X-​Ray and examining my face, it was clear that my TMJ could be the cause of my «migraine» attacks. I was provided by a retainer that I was asked to wear during the day and a nightguard. I am not gonna lie! They were not easy to wear. Especially, because they were forcing me to bite down differently and the first few weeks, I was simply uncomfortable.
Very soon though, the regular tensions headaches I used to get at least 2 – 3 times a week were gone… and I have not experienced any migraine-​like attacks since December ’13. Now when I close my mouth, my top and bottom teeth do not touch and I am conscious of grinding my teeth, something that I was completely oblivious to less than 2 years ago!
My quality of life has drastically increased over the last 18 months and I am always grateful to Dr. Maryam for fixing my TMJ and for her continuous care and support.

I have had TMJ cracking, popping and jaw pain ever since I was a little girl. Over the past 7 years my jaw had been getting worse and I was having a harder time opening it and my headaches were getting bad. It was very hard to know what to do and having surgery just seemed awful. Finally 6 months ago I was referred to Dr. Maryam. She is my angel. Within a few days of getting the appliance she recommended my jaw clicking and pain were gone. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her office. She offers a free consoltation which is rare for tmj issues. I promise you she will help you. I wish I had found her sooner.

I love Maryam Bakhtiyari, DDS. I have been a fan of hers for about 11 plus years. I had her do braces for my 21 year old, 15 years old and now my 8 and 7 year old children are patients.
Doctor Maryam is a god send. My children happen to be blessed with huge teeth but small jaws. The result is crowding. I believe in a lovely smile. It’s you first impression.
The doctor expands the jawline and makes room for all the teeth. No extractions. The results are amazing. It’s the European way and believe me you will not be disappointed.
The office is beautiful and elegant. They have a play room for the children with a Wii. Free coffee, tea or hot cocoa in the front reception area. Heather the receptionist alway greet you with a lovely smile. Her staff are all professional and really make you feel like a valued patient.

Dr. Maryam and her staff are extremely professional, helpful, informative and certainly friendly. I am very pleased with the personal, down to earth approach that I experienced both in the office as well as on the phone. I am in the beginning stage of treating my sleep apnea, snoring, ear ringing, etc. so I am unable to review the treatment itself, but I do intend to do so at another time. All I can do at this point is strongly recommend Dr. Bakhityari and her staff based on the way they have worked with me and have proactively addressed my medical issues. A+++
