Let’s start with the good and why there’s five stars
The staff is super friendly.
There’s wifi
There’s valentines right next to it
You can make change here
They have credit card operated machines
And now the not so good.
I wouldn’t really come back.
The place is a little old and not dirty, just old.
The dryers are super old looking and look like they will break down any minute
Overpriced.
Dryer is 8min for a quarter
Washer is $ 4 for a normal sized
Idk I think it’s a little over priced. I pay 2.50 for the normal sized and 1.50 for the basic small one.
Five stars for being neat and nice staff and not crowded

I you’ve got to do your laundry (uh, OF COURSE YOU DO!), this is the best place in town! Occasionally our washer goes on the fritz and I pay a visit to Suds and Duds. It’s not the closest to our house but it’s worth the extra mile to go here:
1)it’s Clean… super clean!
2)lots of free parking
3)nice little easy to find corner: you can have pizza next door, a soda next door or a beer at the bar across the street =)
4)no weirdoes in here! I’ve never encountered a creep while laundering.
5)dryers don’t run flaming hot like some «other» laundermats
6)wide variety of machines: small ones, huge ones, and many brand new ones
7)good music playing… sometimes I’ve been tempted to break out in song.
8)free wifi too!
I’m a fan! And when our washer/​dryer is NOT broken (which is most of the time), we come here for heavy duty washes… big comforters, sleeping bags and rugs.

Some of the clientele were a little strange, puddle of water on floor I had to clean up myself due to no attendant on duty Sundays, insufficient folding tables, some of my laundry came out with spots and stains that weren’t there beforehand, and one of the dryers fried a huge spot on my fleece sheet. Plus, it was expensive to boot. YUCK.

Fast and easy! There were plenty of washing machines and dryers available with no wait! Plus they have a change machine and soap, bleach, detergent, etc… it costs $ 2.25 for a load of laundry and drying costs 25 cents per 8 minutes… weird.

This laundromat is clean and has a good selection of various sized washers. We have never had a problem with machines here. Pricing is a bit on the high side, so larger washers are the way to go.

The dryer in my apartment broke so I was forced to go to a laundromat cause I couldn’t wait until it was replaced. When searching for a decent spot to go to, my roommate suggested we go to one that’s next to somewhere we can eat so it would make time go by faster. That’s when I found Suds & Duds… conveniently located in a little plaza in between a liquor store and Valentino’s Pizza.
I don’t have much to compare this laundromat to considering the last time I went to one was YEARS ago (I always make sure there is a washer/​dryer in the complex when apartment hunting) but this one wasn’t so bad. I felt like a total newbie trying to figure out how to operate the darn machines but it was pretty simple. Just make sure you bring lots of QUARTERS. There is a change machine available tho. If my washer or dryer ever go out again, I now know where to go.

Unfortunately my rental in Hermosa doesn’t include Washer or Dryer machines. I know there are a few laundromats in HB, but I usually just end up going to this one. Parking has never been a problem, and we stumbled upon a gem called TomBoys

Despite that the laundry mat was put on earth to try and get me to be a good christian boy, as it is my hell, I’m going four stars here. I started using Suds and Duds about 4 months ago and it’s been my regular laundry stop from day one.
First, the location is close to home. Obviously its going to rank in my top places to go for that reason alone.
Second, there is a convenience store, za shop that does pizza by the slice and has other italian dishes to enjoy next door, and a bar across the street! Add that to the bike shop half a block down, the hilarity of watching the cross trainers do lunges down aviation carrying 45 lb weights over their head, and for the ladies, a nail salon so you can get your mani pedi on, and you’ve got yourself a lawn dry matte!
The washers and dryers are a little nasty, old, and crusty to be honest, but they get the job done. And they lack WIFI. Those pitfalls force me to remove a a couple stars. However, they earn one back with their full service laundrying (yes I can make up words too). What an awesome concept. Stop by in the morning get a ticket. Come back that night, and your wardrobes clean and smelling fresh, and wrapped up in cellophane so it doesn’t get dirty or wrinkly on the drive home! I’m never doing my own laundry again! But if I have to, I’ll still go to Suds and Duds.

Small space but never too full. The liquor store next door is super convenient, but the dryers are really bad. I’ve gone to this place a couple of times and I don’t think I’m going again because of the dryers.

Clean well maintained machines. This place is always busy. Grab a slice of pizza next door at Valentino’s.

I’m still learning how the life of a laundromat researcher goes, but from my heyday back in the late 80s (in the burbs of Washington DC) — I’ve definitely seen better than this place! More duds than suds for me… a little dank, though parking was relatively easy on a weeknight, and the washers were less than clean (that’s why clorox wipes are always on handy)…I’d only recommend this place if you (and your skivvies) were in such a jam, that you couldn’t wait to find something better the next morning…

I tend to only go to laundromats when my washer is broke or when I need to do my comforters. But, so far, this is my favorite laundromat in the area. Very big with lots of washers and dryers. They have more large capacity washers than the other place I used to go to. They also have a sink with SOAP and PAPER TOWELS — very rare!!! They are located in between a liquor store and a pizza place, which will keep you busy while you wait. I was here on a Saturday evening and it was almost empty.

Relatively quiet place on a Saturday afternoon. Clean but a little worn down. A good amount of dryers were either broken down or filled with done loads from the wash and fold service.

it was cool when it closed at midnight but now i hear its done at 10. SUCKS. you see couples here, or singles, reading, etc.
