Attended one of Patrick’s sessions hosted by Chef Annette at the South Bay School of Cooking. It was excellent. Patrick is so knowledgable and very down to earth in his approach. It was such a fun evening that I plan to book him for a party at my home this summer.

As a chef and wine lover, I’ve been to more pairings than you can imagine. I don’t usually expect much more than a wine sales rep pushing expensive wine or something they are trying to get rid of and a restaurant just trying to fill their empty seats. Often the wine/food do not match that well. The April tasting at Barsha in Manhattan Beach with Patrick from Wine Tasting Pro was anything but that. Patrick brought to the table exquisite knowledge of the wines and exactly how it paired with each cheese he selected. He identified in an easy and well knowledgeable way what exactly to taste for in both the wine and the cheese. There was a friendly atmosphere and no wine snobbery here. My assistant and I were blown away at his amazing ability to describe what we were tasting without the usual ‘rhetoric’ of notes of this and terroir that – often words regurgitated by many wine experts. Barsha wine, the location was fun, happy and the owners are friendly and inviting.

I recently went to a Tasting Pro Event in Manhattan Beach at a small wine shop with a group of my friends. The experience was very cool, although I have been wine tasting several times, Patrick taught me additional things I did not know. His approach to wine is very engaging, simple, and approachable! I am looking forward to more events, it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, it was something different and very fun!
