Charming facility, great people, and nice extras like occasional live music. We love Wednesday evenings with Ali. We will be back soon! Bring back the bowls… Incredibly soothing sound and perfect for yoga.

My beloved and I are newbies to yoga. He was suffering from major knee pains and I’m just old. Lolz!!! We decided to try Yin Yoga to help cure our aches and pains. And it worked! Wednesday night with Ally Owens RAWKS!!! The stretches she guides us through have been wonderfully beneficial and effective.

No doubt Green Yogi is the BEST studio in town. Ali Owens, Jamie Horgan, Sesa O’Connor are some of the best teachers! I have learned so much from them and they help you correct your poses. They are such great inspiration. They play the best music in class as well!

Amazing studio with high quality instructors. One of the few places as a guy you one be the only one in the class. Reasonable prices and frequent classes.

I’ve checked out a lot of studios around LA and this one is my favorite! I love the small studio vibe. I feel instantly relaxed the moment I walk in the door. They have a great outdoor patio and the staff is welcoming and warm.
The classes are a perfect mix of challenging and fun. I mostly take the power vinyasa classes but they also have yin. The instructors are detailed and have a knowledge of alignment and anatomy. They make the classes fun and the playlists are always perfect.
Jamie and Heather are tied for my favorite teachers. Definitely worth checkign out — plus they gave me my first 3 classes for $ 20.

This place really does scream eco-​chic. It’s a beautiful space and is the first thing you notice! The outdoor patio space is quite small, but is really lovely. The string lights and candles around the studio make it feel cozy. The community-​like base of yogis and genuine instructors offer an intimate experience.
I am addicted to Ali’s yin class on Wednesdays! The class is always different and incorporates live music (guitarist, singing bowls, etc.). Ali is very sweet and warm, I love practicing with her!
I’ve also taken power vinyasa on Tues/​Thurs. Although it’s not heated, I sweat like it is! It’s fast paced and advanced, and one of the best workouts I fit in during the week.

I hate to give away the secret of my favorite spot — but they deserve it. This is by far the best yoga studio in South Bay. Give it a try and you won’t regret it!

This studio is gorgeous. My favorite thing to do before (or after) a class is chill in the darling little garden hey have. The vibe is chill, the staff are friendly and the place is always clean. Most people seem like regulars and theirs a nice family feel.
It’s the perfect little retreat in Manhattan Beach. It feels like an oasis that honors its beach locale.
They always have great little gifts like candles and jewelry in the their little store, too. Perfect for last minute gifts!
My favorite teacher so far is Heather.

My zen is this yoga studio! Clean, beautiful, kind staff, good size class, great instructors, they offer EO hand sanitizer and EO Lavender! Easy check in! Student discount! Come early the classes fill up fast!

This cute, boutique yoga center is just what I was looking for. So many yoga places are corporate now — but Green Yogi has kept it simple with plenty of classes, live music, cool events, and a small mom-​and-​pop yet Eco-​beach-​chic feel. Check out Amy B’s yoga classes!

The only studio I return to regularly. Absolutely love the ambiance, instructors, desk attendants and fellow yogis that attend class here.
Personal favs are Anne, Allie & Jamie, but they are really all great and unique. Can’t get enough of the green yogi!

Plain and Simple. I love the Green Yogi. The mood of the studio reflects it’s neighbor — the ocean breeze. It feel amazing.
Each class has it’s own unique powerful ebb and flow.
I have taken many classes here before with different instructors and I will recommend all of them.
The studio is open and welcoming to all and doesn’t have an air of fakeness or extravagance. It is natural and unassuming while still having style and strength, it feels like home.
This Place is calm and clean. I like the studio because even though it is modest in size, it still has enough space for an airy practice room, a small front desk area and a zen-​like waiting area al fresco.
The only downside to the studio is that I wish they were more classes!
It is a great way to start your morning.

I have been seriously thinking about taking yoga classes here until my good friend (who is not on Unilocal) was telling me that the Green Yogi sent her an email saying that she had attended a yoga class last week and did not pay for it. Keep in mind, she is on ClassPass. My friend thought this was just a misunderstanding and replied back suggesting that they have her mixed up with someone else. A few emails went back and forth. Meanwhile, my friend had NEVER scheduled the class, nor was she physically there as management claimed… Mary (the owner) even told her that her associate asked for the spelling of her name when she was in the studio. When my friend called to plead her case by saying she had taken the day off from work to bring her dog to the vet, the owner asked for proof! Seriously… she had to send her vet documents to these people! She even told my friend that her account will be flagged from now on. Even upon proof, there was no apology on their part.
Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Bad business practice if you ask me. Sorry Green Yogi… you will not get my business. Beware of this fellow yogis.

I have taken a few classes at the Green Yogi through classpass. While I did enjoy the classes, this studio is definitely not my favorite.
Pros:
–The studio is really beautiful, the zen garden is a nice little bonus
–The instructors are very kind and knowledgeable
Cons:
–Classes are listed as all levels but I believe a beginner would feel extremely intimidated in their power vinyasa classes. I am not a beginner but I am certainly not an advanced yoga student and my first class was a little overwhelming.
–Parking is HORRENDOUS
–The bathroom inside the yoga room is a little odd, also there were no paper towels in there, just a rag on the hook, a little unsanitary if you ask me.
–The circulation in the yoga room is awful, it gets very stuffy and uncomfortable during the class. I was dripping wet and found it hard to focus on poses and get a good grip on my mat even with a towel.
At the end of the day, I probably would take another class at Green Yogi but I cannot picture myself going the 3x a month I am allotted on Classpass.

I’ve been practicing yoga on and off for over 7 years, The Green Yogi has got it down right. From the space, to the incredible instructors, I’ve made this place my yogi sanctuary for 5 years.
The studio embodies an eco-​chic feel and is in the heart of North Manhattan Beach. Small small, beach feel. Staff is super friendly and they are always welcoming of newcomers. Mat rentals are available.
Pros:
–The space itself is beautiful, open studio with lots of natural light.
–They have some of LA’s most amazing instructors.
–All classes are al levels.
Cons:
–Wish they had a 7am class everyday Monday-​Friday for working 9 to 5 people.
–Parking Sucks!!! Never any street parking. residential parking is sometimes available. 2 metered lots on Highland Ave./Rosecrans.
–The studio gets a little stuffy and has poor circulation. I’m always praying the instructors open the door after practice to allow airflow.
My favorite instructors:
–Tamal Dodge– Of of LA’s most influential teachers. His classes are the most sought after. You’ll sweat and challenge yourself like never before. Get there early, his classes are packed!
–Heather: she’s incredible and always has great modifications. Gentle yet stimulates the mind and body to achieve greatness.
–Julie: She’s a legend, teacher trainer and an overall badass mama ;-)

South Bay yogis, you’ll feel at home at the Green Yogi. The one-​room studio is small, airy, and clean — each time I walk through the doors I am enveloped by sunlight and positive energy. The yoga instructors here are all wonderful and very experienced, I especially love taking classes with Tamal Dodge, Anne Spinner, and Jamie Horgan. All Vinyasa Flow classes can be tailored for all levels, but are best for intermediate and advanced students. Most classes entail several challenging standing sequences plus some ab work and arm balances.
Try the new student intro package, 3 classes for $ 20. As a yogi that frequents several studios, I’d recommend signing up for their email list and waiting for a deal on the class packages to buy in bulk — there’s a great sale about once per quarter and the vouchers essentially never expire. It’s admittedly stressful to find metered parking and sign-​in early enough — classes fill up quickly so come 15 minutes early at a minimum. However, the natural feeling of bliss that overcomes me as I lay in shavasana completely recoups the journey to the studio.

Pros: Took Jamie Horgan class and it was wonderful. I like how it really help me unplug from my day and be present. The class was challenging but still had the meditation aspect of yoga involved. Five stars for the class and instructor.
Cons: The front desk was a little disorganized when it came to class pass users, and it’s hard to refill your water there. They only have one bathroom that’s inside the studio so you can only change once the last class is done. When waiting for your class to start, the waiting area can get pretty crowded. I was shoulder to shoulder waiting with other yogis for class to begin. It’s a great location by the beach, but parking is hard-​to-​find. Most likely you will have to park in the parking structure down the street and pay a little.
Overall: I really enjoyed the class and the studio is cute. Just some minor inconveniences (I.e., cramped studio, parking) I’m sure because they’re so close to the beach and property is expensive. However, I do think they can invest in a high-​quality water machine.

Love love love love love The Green Yogi. I’ve been attending their Power Vinyasa evening class through ClassPass, and I fully intend on signing up for a monthly membership. Jamie is really great, and I love how she explains all the poses without making it sound too introductory. She is also good at throwing out different options to make the poses more challenging. I have been trying some variations that I didn’t think I still had the strength to do.
The only cons I can find is that there is one small bathroom, and it is located in the actual yoga room so you’d have to wait for the previous class to be done before using it. Also: parking sucks, but that’s to be expected.
