Like Dan T stated, this park isn’t iconic and you won’t be missing anything at all. If you’re a visitor, its not a park you must see by any means. Now, it might sound like I am not happy with this park but the opposite is true. If I am in the meat packing district to hangout or if I am working around the area I like to come here. Its a nice spot to eat some grub without having to hunt for a seat and there’s just a big patch of grass where you can just chill and relax in. And it’s very low in human traffic and you hardly see many people doing anything of much. Its also in a very heavy traffic area but if you have some good headphones and want to block out the sounds, lay in the sun, chill out, then you’re good to go. Its not romantic, spectacular, iconic, epic in anyway but its not meant to be. Its just a nice simple park that’s between the High Line and the Pier and its ironically kind of a hidden gem since there’s not many people here. A good place to be around a lot of things but away from a lot at the same time.

Not exactly iconic or very park-like, the 14 St. Park is a grassy Circle surrounded by a splattering of trees, plants, chairs and benches. The majority is pavement but it’s a good, albeit windy refuge with a decent view of the Hudson. The park offers low-key human traffic, and if you can tone out auto noise & rusty seats, you’re golden. It’s not really an attraction, but for that reason it can be nice since it isn’t too happening(minus the occasional passer-thru) or bothersome if you’d rather slip away for a few.
