Wow, what a nice little coffee shop! I stopped by here the other day because I had some time to kill before a meeting. It’s right on Frederick Douglass near 116th. I had a latte, which was fine, but not as smooth as it could have been. I think it had something to do with the grind of the coffee, or perhaps the milk had been overheated because it was essentially like drinking fire. Next time I’m going to try a standard drip and see how it fares. I loved the freshly baked Argentine pastries; really unique and authentic, not something I was expecting. I had a delicious dulce de leche alfajor; not too sweet, but the perfect accompaniment to my coffee. I’ll definitely come back; there was a host of other coffee drinks that I would love to try. Also, wifi was very reliable.

This place is small and cute. It’s a good intimate coffee shop. There weren’t a lot of people when I was there so it was nice. I got a medium latte for $ 5. It was ok. I’m not a big coffee lover. They have a blue agave syrup you can put in your beverage. The service was ok. Pretty basic. She was kind enough to write down the wifi password for me but I couldn’t really hear her. Would come back again.

Nice uptown spot but really standard anywhere else, sorry to say.

Pretty good coffee, it is strong flavored so if you are a Starbucks fan don’t bother to go there you will be disappointed . My favorite is the Americano on the go and a muffin(pistachio is great), prices are quite decent and service is pretty friendly . My to go spot when I have to grab something and wake me up before walking with my new born in morning side park

I’ve been here on several occasions while I wait for my laundry to finish. This is a small coffee shop good for grabbing something on the go. The black coffee here isn’t very strong or flavorful but I enjoy the pastries they serve here. The pastries are from local bakers so the selection is usually different each time I come. There is free wi-fi and plenty of outlets so it can be a good place to work. All off the tables are pretty wobbly though so you might want to find somewhere else to work if you are writing or are a furious typer.

Recently, stopped by with some friends to grab coffee on-the-go as we wanted to find a new local coffee shop to try. Price of coffee was reasonable but unfortunately, not the best tasting. We ordered a variety of iced lattes and iced coffees. The taste was lacking flavor. We were all disappointed. The service was ok. Our coffees were sloppily made as coffee was spilling out of our cups. I will say that the atmosphere was cute, although not enough to get me to come back.

The service we got was super friendly and warm, the coffee+breakfast sandwich deal was extremely reasonably priced, fulfilling and nice. The sweet pastry with dulce de leche was somewhat average.

I’m not sure that I’ve had the same experience as others here. Have had the latte a couple of times and both times the coffee tasted burnt at best and the service is cold and indifferent. With other nearby cafes, I’m not so sure this place is warranted. The décor inside is an afterthought. Their game needs to be stepped up. I’ll give it one more try and that’s not good… Well, I guess we are breaking up.

Kind of disappointing and disappointed myself since this is an Argentinian place. We came here two or three times wanting to like the place but it never filled the expectations. Even ordering a lot of different pastries we couldn’t find one that taste like home. The Dulce de leche is always great wherever you put it but not in this kind of tough doughs and pastries. The same thing with the crema pastelera(custard cream). Not what I expected and I love! crema pastelera. It’s an inexpensive place but not worth coming back.

Great coffee. GREAT service. Spilled my iced latte at the counter :(but the woman working deftly swooped around and cleaned up my mess IMMEDIATELY and gave me a new latte– no additional charge. No attitude. Lovely people, lovely place!

Incredible neighborhood bakery in the guise of a coffee shop. Espresso is good, and for better or worse the drip coffee reminds me of a diner. The gem here is the pastry selection: diverse, inventive, delicious and most importantly hand crafted in-house daily(in front of customers, right behind the service counter!) Friendly staff and plenty of savory options round it out, this place is truly a star.

Coffee: Okay, sometimes good. Pastries: Excellent, all around! My mouth waters just thinking about them. Food: Good, though I am not a big fan of the chicken empanadas(they are too tomato-saucey. Service: Friendly

The alfajores are fantastic. I haven’t had alfajores that good since traveling in South America. Good espresso drinks, nice and quiet atmosphere. Wasn’t impressed by the empanadas that I had — but I was getting over being sick when I had them, so it might just have been me.

I came back today and Maria was working — what a joy! She greeting me with a smile like she knew me. Saved me from microwaving my pastry at the office so it wouldn’t get tough. I will definitely return soon. PS: My 4 cheese and tomato tart was delicious!

Wow, something different in the area, in this day and age. coffees good, however I must tell you the crossaint a with ham and cheese is something out of the ordinary. The sweet of crossaint and salty of ham and cheese makes it a great taste. this place is great for brunch or 3pm snack with a coffee!!! although I didn’t have the appetite to eat argentine empanadas, I will go back to taste some or maybe the Milanese.

Really fun place! Studied here with my friend today. The coffee is amazing and she said they ship it in from Italy. The atmosphere is cozy with wooden tables and there are outlets available. It wasn’t too crowded but there was a constant enough flow for it to feel alive. Great music for work. I was super productive. Can’t wait to come and work here again!

Excellent coffee and latte and lovely staff but the pastry I ordered was inedible(elephant ears). Hopefully next time will be better, I really want to like this place. Lovely décor and very friendly owner couple.

I was really excited when this place opened. They did everything right. The layout and décor are perfect. Staff is really friendly. Homemade pastries are excellent. My only problem is that the coffee is just not that good. If they can improve the coffee I’ll be here every morning. I’m really rooting for them to succeed as it a great place.

The real deal. European coffee shop without pretension or frill. Solid coffee and great owners, also feels more a part of the neighborhood than other, ehem, hipster coffee shops that feel like a shipping container export from Williamsburg. As more businesses open on fdb I’d like them to follow suit of Amaretto. Place feels like a part of this area.

This coffee shop is a new arrival on Harlem’s restaurant row, and it’s great! The first thing I noticed even before walking in the door was the incredible smell of freshly baked goods — they had just taken a tray of croissants out of the oven. I had to order one, of course, and it was every bit as tasty as it looked and smelled. They have a number of other pastries, both sweet and savory, so I’m looking forward to trying them on future visits. I also ordered the drip coffee, and it’s very good. I was served by the owner, a very friendly and hard-working Argentinian man(he holds a second job in an office, where he goes after working in the coffee shop). We had a nice conversation, and he already seems to know several of his customers by name(the place opened four days ago!). This place is just a block away from my apartment, so it’s definitely going to become a regular stop for me. Even if it were farther away, though, I’d happily make the trip!
