I dont know what the bad reviews are all about I had a great service and experience here. Jackie was welcoming and attentive and the overall experience was very very good.

Not happy with the service but trying to finish the big package of sessions I purchased. The lady is mean!

My boyfriend and I both bought Lifebooker Loot for 3-​photofacial at Azure.
The first time I went to Azure the technician was 20 minutes late. We didn’t say a word because she apologized. The result was okay on my skin, my skin looks brighter but had some breakout. The result on my boyfriend was not good and he have more acne then usual and his skin looks dull.
The second time we went there we had to work/​check email, so we decided to go to a café with WIFI near Azure (3-​minute walk) and take turns to go to Azure. We really didn’t want to do this but most of the better time are all booked up and they don’t open on Saturday or Sunday.
My boyfriend went there first and he paid all taxes and tips for both of us. Right after he came back to the coffee shop, I went to Azure, and the technician told me I was too late for my appointment (I was there 20 minutes later than my appointment time, but which should not be a big deal because my boyfriend just finished his treatment about 5 minutes ago) and she said she have two other clients while there are no one waiting outside and no one in the room! The receptionist did not bother to say a word to the technician. She could have told the technician I am not just a random late client, since she already took our money and she knew I will be there very soon.
I told her that we didn’t complain when she came in late last time, and then she said it’s not a matter of «being late» and it’s because there is «no availability». Then I explained to her my boyfriend just finished his treatment so I know I am not «too late». She saw I am really pissed off so she said she will check what she can do for me. Finally, she decided to give me the photo-​facial treatment. When she opened the room there was no one in the room, no one waiting outside the room, THERE IS NO ONE!
I am very unsatisfied with their service & attitude, plus the result was not satisfactory. I would give them a zero star if I could. Don’t go to Azure. I went to several other laser Med Spas before, some even much cheaper than Azure and much more professional. The experience here is the most unpleasant one.

Today was my second appt at Azure and i still have nothing bad to say. First, Im so impressed with the results! I really didn’t expect to see a difference after the first session, but holy shit! Im not going to go into that, but it was a huge difference and Im happy i did it. Secondly, when i got in the room with the esthetician, i addressed the concerns i had about spots being missed and whatnot and she took care of it, no problem. They do not include inner buttocks, but apparently, a lot of places don’t.no biggie. I’ll get it done eventually. This session was about the same amount of time as last time, but i feel like a more thorough job was done. My next session is 6 weeks from now. I’ll keep you guys updated. The only reason I haven’t given them 5 stars is because i wanna wait til it’s all done and over with to be sure.

Mina is the best! She really knows her stuff, and does it all with a great attitude and sense of humor. I wouldn’t let anyone else get near me with a laser. My skin felt fantastic the last time I saw her.

I really wanted to like this place. It was my first experience with laser hair removal, so I didn’t know what to expect, but a friend of mine told me he had good success with laser (different facility) and so I decided to try it. I got the Lifebooker loot for 12 sessions and split them between armpit and Brazilian bikini.
Since the hair growth cycle has three phases, I was not expecting to see any results until after at least the third, maybe fourth session. However, after the fourth session, as I read from various laser hair removal websites, I should see a significant reduction. I did not. I have fair skin and medium coarseness /​darkness hair. When I mentioned this to the technician and suggested that maybe the laser was not the latest technology, she got very defensive and gave me a speech about how she was one of the founders of laser hair removal, etc, and how I would need at least 8 — 10 sessions. Also, despite the fact that it was a Brazilian bikini, she was not covering some key areas, *ahem,* which are normally covered by waxing.
Though I was feeling like I was wasting my time and money, I figured I would finish the sessions in my package. However, one of my appointments had to be rescheduled because when I showed up the place was closed for renovation and no one had bothered to notify me ahead of time. Then, on my fifth session the technician refused to do it because I had applied spray-​tan (I had specifically covered the bikini and armpit areas for during the procedure) a week earlier and she said it was still rubbing off. Honestly, the areas to be lasered were as white as could be and even the rest of my sprayed body was already not noticeably darker, but she was apparently paranoid that I would sue her if I got burns and copped a major attitude with me. At that point I had had enough and asked for a refund of the remaining 4 sessions. They only gave me 50% because that’s how much they get from Lifebooker. I suppose that’s fair, which is why they get a second star.

I first found Azure through a Lifebooker Loot for 12 sessions of hair removal for $ 299. I am still having treatments and have noticed a reduction in hair growth but can’t vouch for this service until I have completed all 6 appointments (I am doing upper lip & Brazilian). I can tell you though that I have not been burned or scared as other have mention below me. I also have not had any problems getting an appointment or been treated badly by receptionist or aesthetician. They are both very personable and informative.

I am also going to Azure for IPL to treat my rosacea. I have had 3 treatments so far (treatment takes 3 – 6 for optimal results) and I am loving my results so far.
One thing that I noticed that people get mad about is if you show up late for your appointment you run the risk of being turned away. This is something that most businesses do because you cause their entire day to be off if they honor your appointment when you are late and they have a full day of clients. Be courteous and show up on time or at least 5 minutes early. They also require 48 hour notice of cancellation.

I bought a lifebooker loot to Azure sometime later last year — maybe around September or so? Awesome deal and then bought a few more when they popped up. The technician, Emma, is so sweet and so is the staff. I’ve always been treated kindly there. Never anything to complain about.
As for the laser and the work that is done, if you don’t know anything about lasers — they use the Gentle Yag. It’s not an IPL laser which is used for hair removal too, but means that you’ll need touch-​ups in the future. I used to work for a cosmetic dermatologist, and we actually called it Laser Hair Reduction (she used IPL lasers) — it’s hard to remove all the hairs and sometimes you get new growth. I did lots of research, and people seem to have the best long-​term results with the Gentle Yag. Which is what I find desirable.
Anyway, I love the salon. It’s cozy and cute, and nobody has ever been rude to me. If you’re a nice person with a good attitude, ignore the other reviews and book yourself an appointment here… it always astounds me that only the people who claim to have negative experiences write reviews. Azure has been around for years — hate to see it get a bad rep.

Just like the previous post and comments… STAY AWAY FROM THE PLACE!!! I also purchased my package through lifebooker, and boy are they rude! They give me an attitude for showing up early, and when I was late 13 min for my last session, the owner/​esthetician was the rudest business person I have ever met. I don’t how can someone treat their customers like that. she said, she will not give me the courtesy for appt and had to reschedule for another day. when I did, they called me two days before to confirm my appt and said they my session has expired! Even if this place was free, don’t go. You’ll either get a burnt skin, hair still growing out, and bad bad bad service. I made a compliant to Lifebook and to the Better Business Bureau. Hopeful they can help customers like myself.

I bought a deal on lifebooker. I am going to try to get my money back. They are so rude, I left actually shaking. The woman came out and acted like I was an errant child because I was 13 minutes late due to a subway delay. I had apologized, but apparently my apology wasn’t sincere enough, because she put her hands on her hips and lectured me about punctuality.
Further, the first/​only treatment they gave me burned me so badly it hurt for three or four days (which has never happened with other laser treatments I’ve had) and it didn’t even get rid of the hair. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.

Okay, so the staff might not be personable, but they warm up to you. And the machines might be old, but it did its job. The technician is very quick and thorough trying to cover as much area as possible compared to other places. She’d ask if it was too hot, etc. etc. She would even zap a zit or two here and there. Would I go back? Well, now that I finished my «loot» within these past five months (expires in one year), I probably would not go back.

They use older lasers. I have gotten laser hair removal before elsewhere and had much better results. On top of that they burned me. It wasn’t too bad but I have had many laser hair removal sessions before at other places and NEVER been burned even a little bit. Another thing I don’t like is she just runs the laser up and down instead of focusing on the hairs like I’ve had at other places. The only reason I still go is to get at least some use out of the deal I bought. I wish I only bought one or two sessions instead of a package. Uggghhh.

They do a decent job, nothing amazing and not the friendliest staff either. The deal online I got was good but I am still searching for a great laser place. Also you should know the laser technology they are using is a little older so it will take longer to get rid of the hair. So it may be cheaper but you will go more often so weigh your $ accordingly.

I went in, got a severe and deep burn as a result of the brazillian laser and they kindly offered to give me a PARTIAL refund for my troubles. How nice. I am still healing from the burn. I wouldn’t go back if you paid me a million dollars. You have no idea how bad this hurts
