This unique souvenir store stands out from the rest because of its friendly and informative customer service, assortment of special Broadway goods, and delightful atmosphere. Most souvenir stores sell the basic«I Love NY» shirts, but Backstage Memories sells a great variety of different t-shirt designs specifically tailored to Broadway Shows and more. You can also find CDs and DVDs of the shows at this cute souvenir shop. There is a television that plays DVDs of the Broadway spectacles and a CD player that broadcasts tunes throughout the store. I was humming along to some tunes which made my shopping experience much more enjoyable than simply listening to the radio that other stores settle for. What’s wonderful is that the store really lives up to its name. After watching a show, you can go backstage to relive your memories! Definitely recommend Backstage Memories!

as a tourist from asia, i find that there are too many souvenir stores in new york city. they sell cheap and forgettable goods. however i am impressed by the merchandising in this little store. it is small but it carries a lot of nice souvenirs, especially souvenirs from broadway shows: cds, dvds, posters, magnets, calendars, t-shirts, mugs etc. good quality stuff. not to mention the staff is very helpful and patient. they won’t give you an attitude even you just browse and not buy. check it out — it is right next to winter garden theater.

There are many, many souvenir stores in New York City, but this one is different. Why? This store has Broadway memorabilia you won’t find anywhere else, especially if you’re not going to see a Broadway show, but you’re interested in the merchandise. Broadway Memories has song books, shirts, mugs, posters, magnets, jewelry, and calendars for current shows and past shows. I found a Mary Poppins«to go» mug, and my sister bought a Wicked umbrella. If you’re a fan of Broadway, this store is a must see. Right next to the Winter Garden Theatre where Mamma Mia! is playing.
