I found Best Barber Shop online, and I’m glad I did. I am a female whose(overgrown) short hair was in need of some attention, and the talented and personable Peter knew just what to do. He’s quick without being rushed and was very attentive to what I wanted. Peter was finishing up a cut on a gentleman when I arrived, and I could tell from the way he worked that I would be in good hands. When my cut was done, Peter said, «If you’re happy, I’m happy.» Yes, Peter: I’m happy!

Within 20 mins of getting back to my office two women said«nice haircut» and a guy I work with asked where I got it done. That sums it up. Cut is great, Peter was nice, and for the price it can’t be beat. I’ll be back in a few weeks for sure. A great NYC barber.

i am a repeat customer at this barber shop. it is very reasonably priced and i always get professional service and exactly what i ask for. The barbers are friendly and it is centrally located on the bottom level of a big diamond center in midtown, just look for the barbers poll over the door.

Quick and perfect haircut every time, at a great price. I used to work across the street, now I drive in from Jersey.

Ive been going to peter for years even though I now work in a different part of town. He is a great guy and cuts a mean head of hair.

Found this shop online and decided to track it down. It is in the back corner of the basement but the signs led me there. Great little shop. Pete is the established barber here. However Manny took care of me. When I arrived he was shaving a gentleman. I received an excellent hair cut. He was attentive to what I wanted, quick but not in a hurry and very professional. The cut was $ 16 plus tax. This is a great price on a haircut. I recommend the shop and will be making Manny my regular barber now.

Great place. It’s worth it! I got a head shave, neck shave and beard trim for WAY less than some ridiculous thing like Art of Shaving. Go. Don’t hestitate.

Good, solid haircut. Barber was quick and professional. A little hard to find: all the way in the back, down in the basement. Regular haircut is now $ 15.

I’ve been here a few times now since moving to NYC last year. I hate finding a new barber in a new city but this place is great. It is hard to find. You go into the building lobby, walk past the lifts and down the less than appealing stairs. You have to walk through the little market stall area of jewelry/clothes cleaning and repair stalls to the back of the room and the barber is tucked away off a small coridoor. Just two barbers chairs, and three to wait on but a great service! The guys work quickly but acurately. Had no problem getting exactly what i wanted. The head steam wrap and«massage» were an unexpected, but not unpleasant, addition. And for $ 12!!! In Midtown! I keep going back

Listen to Morris(the other guy who reviewed this place). «Best» is cheap and very good. Located in the bowels of the diamond district, THIS is the secret all those gem dealers have been keeping from you. The cut shop is located in the basement amidst a labyrinth of cubicles and dealers. My cutter, Peter was a master — wielding scissors and electric with equal proficiency. And I really need both. My hair is a mess of cowlicks and stupid grow patterns. Peter read it beautifully and took direction well. I also got a hot towel and shoulder massage — gratis. I ended up with the best haircut I’ve ever had for $ 12(for $ 120 for that matter).

Gimme the usual. Trim up the burns and let’s go a lil shorter on top today. I have been going to this barber shop for my whole life as hard as that sounds. Always go to the same barber named Peter. This barber shop serves up many people who work in the Jewelry district as it is downstairs in Exchange #55. But apart from Jewelers, you get a lot of workers who work in the midtown 6th avenue area. Great barber who keeps it simple and right. If you work in the midtown area between 40th and 50th streets around 6th avenue and need a barber, try out this place. These guys will leave you with a good haircut, cleaned up and they even have hot towels.(always a plus) ****4 stars becuase it can be a difficult process in finding a barber. This place might end your search. Haircuts are cheap too, running at 12 dollars without tip. Ask for peter or call ahead of time.
