After looking around for weeks for a sofa I found Big Apple Furniture. It is perfect for folks like me who want a simple touch of class in the apartment and don’t want to spend Pottery Barn or designer couch prices. Carlos was great! He talked us through some mail order models and the pros and cons of different styles and price points. Highly recommend.

Do not deal with this company. I just contacted my attorney and the consumer protection dept. of NY I am going to sue them to get a refund. I purchased a cabinet back in September of 2015. The cabinet was not the quality I expected for the price plus it was damaged. Finally they came and took it back and have yet to issue me a refund. Carlos is especially treacherous. Buyer beware

placed a special order that had to be requested from manufacture. Carlos clearly communicated time expectations and met them. The pieces fit beautifully into my existing setup and I am very happy with the process and result. Carlos assisted without hesitation with some minor issues of my own creation and resolved them to my complete satisfaction.
The pricing was also competitive compared to other places advertising this special item.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from BASF again.

I purchased three heavy pricey items from this company, Michael Amini: vanity, triple dresser and nightstand.
Immediately following my purchase I received emails for credit card confirmation etc.
My correspondent was Carlos Montana. He’s customer service is beyond awesome. He was always efficient with feedback and took care of all my questions.
I know I will be in good hands for future purposes.
The shipping was fast and the driver was very careful.

I was in the market for a bed in NYC once I had moved in, but was wary of high prices. I had come into this store and was amazed with the selection. I had an idea of what bed brand/model I wanted ahead of time through online research, but wanted to see if I could get a better deal. Carlos was extremely helpful with the entire process. He was very flexible with the prices and was able to get me a final price that I was willing to pay for the bed. I was happy with the entire process.

My experience with Big Apple Style Furniture is from a far. I am in CA. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Carlos Montana who works for the firm. He has assisted me through this whole process. I had ordered one table and it was discontinued but, he was able to find me the same table just in a different color of which I liked as well. He even went out of his way to insure that I could get the same chairs as the previous table. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is to work with someone who really cares about his customers.
Thank you again Carlos. You are seriously the best at what you do. Thank you Big Apple for carring the table me and my family really wanted.

Placed «special order» in April… waited and waited and waited. Finally called since the E-mails were never answered. Was told that the company (in Italy) never «accepted» their (BA’s) funds. This was after I was told that BA deals with that company «all the time». Then I’m told that my order sat on a desk of someone who doesn’t work there anymore and «slipped through the cracks».Spoke with Carlos, who claims to be the manager and was told the «boss» said I could have a $ 50.00 credit and start the «special order» from now-which would be another 12 weeks. Who runs this store? Carlos didn’t want to deal with me questioning all this and cancelled my order… I have yet to see the refund.

I ordered/paid for a large item online based on some positive reviews and price. Unfortunately, I never heard from them again. After many attempts at communication, I write this review. Do yourself a favor & check out their BBB rating (it was a C– before my review) BEFORE you buy anything. I now realize that the online positive reviews were probably all employees/friends or maybe in-store purchases. Do not buy anything online!

Really hoped things wouldn’t go this route but enough is enough!
Worse experience ever!
Bought most my furniture for my new apartment at this place and never again.
1. Got a dining table with a big scratch on the glass, they refused to switch it to a new one.
2. Couch was supposed to arrive beginning of March, got pushed back to end of March, just got pushed back again to the end of April.
So exhausted from calling them and having to argue.
Costumer service and satisfaction is not given on any level, and I highly recommend you DO NOT ENTER THIS STORE!

I had a great experience with Big Apple Style Furniture. I mostly worked with Carlos regarding an order and he was extremely helpful. I’m very happy with my furniture and their selection is great. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on my pieces and experienced very good customer service. The next time I have to get a piece for my apartment I will be sure to go there first. The prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. Highly recommended!

I bought a day bed there and the quality was so awful that the bed frame cracked in half when a 140lbs woman sat on it — less that 2 years of use. I called and they simply said «you need to buy a new one, let me check when I can deliver». Unreal.
Also the people that came assemble it were 2 young kids that wanted nothing to do with the job, did a Lousy job and left most of the bed slats loose. Never buying anything there again.

DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!
I ordered $ 1700 worth of furniture and both pieces were damaged. Big Apple furniture refuses to come get the furniture or refund my money. Now I’m stuck with furniture I don’t want and I’m out $ 1700!
