Hands down the best coffee shop in town. The atmosphere is wonderful! Great fast and super friendly and knowledgeable service. Not a shop filled with a bunch of college kids not knowing what’s what, this staff is knowledgeable about coffee and the brews! Still working on trying all of the food items but what I’ve had I really enjoyed!

Absolutely amazing! I went for my first time a week ago and I wasn’t sure what to order(coffee wise) so I asked what they would recommend personally. The manager hooked me up with one of there amazing lattes on the house because it was my first time there. The customer service, atmosphere, and location is perfect. Everyone needs to swing by this bistro for sure. In addition to there coffee, my friend ordered a salad and it looked delicious as well!

Pretty good food and a nice ambiance! It’s a breath of fresh air in the college-themed bars of Aggieville. Quality teas and sandwiches at a reasonable price. I’ll be headed back to try more soon!

Trendy little place down in aggieville. Seems to be a popular place among college students. Great patio area. Dog friendly too. A place to come for the dinning experience rather than the food. Also serves beer and cocktails.

Bluestem is conveniently located in Aggieville but just has a very uninspired food menu. I suppose it is fine for someone with basic tastes but I just find it boring. When my dad visited, we went here and he made me walk out because he didn’t see anything appealing on the menu. I have come here for gatherings in the private conference room as well as informal lunch meetings with colleagues. I have tried a panini, pizza, salad, mac n cheese — all obviously basic types of food. The quality is fine but it is certainly nothing gourmet. What I do like is that Harney and Sons tea is available. It is a good place to meet and grab a drink but I’d recommend skipping the food unless you like quiche, soups, and salads a lot.

Why a 3 star, well … because I went here twice on a short trip and the first experience was a 2, the second was a 3.5. I like that they offer a labeled paleo menu. Problem was, I went there for breakfast and there wasn’t a paleo breakfast option. I ordered a smoothie instead, but that wasn’t filling enough. The rest of their breakfast menu was pre-made and stored in the display case. I don’t know if they make those themselves, but the pita pockets the rest of my party ordered were not that great. They just didn’t look fresh or home made. It’s just eggs and ingredients. It should look made by a person, not a machine(little perfectly round egg disks … yuk). Then I went back for lunch to experience that paleo menu. I ordered the paleo chicken alfredo which is made with suash strings for the pasta and a coconut based alfredo sauce. It was good. Two things that can improve. I ordered my lunch to go. The container they put it is was a standard doggies box and it leaked everywhere. Know your product and put that thing in a seal-able tub or something. Also, offer more of that squash spaghetti. There was plent of sauce, but I was wanting more to sop it up with. Other than that, this dish was really good, really innovative, and will probably bring me back to try the rest of the menu. Work on a paleo breakfast guys. It can even be simply egg based with some paleo options to add on, in, and around(sides). Not to complicated.

Been to Bluestem a few times for breakfast, coffee and to have some bakery items made up. They have a nice patio for outside dinning and it’s a good spot for getting brunch when the weather is nice out. The staff has always been friendly and helpful with and making recommendations for people that can’t decide or who are new. The power outlets are open for a quick charge and you can get cozy if you need a study spot.

I cannot rave enough about Bluestem Bistro. I don’t know why we waited so long to visit this place, but once we did, we were hooked! I always get the toasted caprese on ciabatta, and it is amazing, I love it so much! The staff is friendly, the coffee is really good! They’re also kid friendly, my daughter loved their spaghetti. As far as drinks, their almond joy latte, grasshopper mocha, and honey nougat latte are phenomenal!(all alcohol free, but they do have those with alcohol pretty much, just with different names, haven’t tried, but they look good.)

I’ve only been to this place twice on different occasions because I’m from Wichita, so I can’t just pop in whenever I want but I was very pleased both times. The first time I was there for lunch I believe I had the Bacon Turkey melt which was very good. The second time I was in town I got the Almond Joy Latte and I haven’t stopped talking about it since! It was excellently crafted and was way better than I expecting! I have asked for it at local coffee shops here in Wichita and they just don’t compare! The layout is open and spacious and the baristas here are super friendly! The price is reasonable, but what you would expect from lost coffee shops. I will definitely recommend this place to the next person I hear headed to Manhattan!

Had a great vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can either grab a coffee and work, or get some cheap, local beers and hang out with your friends.

If you’re looking for a local hangout à la 90210’s Peach Pit or Saved By The Bell’s Max(And why wouldn’t you be?), Bluestem Bistro is your spot. Come anytime of day and you’ll find a menu that offers a selection of home-cooked, classic items that will do the trick and keep even the picky eaters among your group happy. While nothing I’ve had here is rave-worthy, it seems that food is often a secondary reason for coming to Bluestem: The venue is quirky, friendly, and generally packed, and you’ll find college kids buried in their laptops, families enjoying a leisurely brunch on the outdoor patio, and study groups frantically working in corners in hushed tones. It’s a true community local, a place where you know the baristas by name, have the wifi password saved in your phone, computer and tablet, and don’t feel strange about eating multiple meals while you camp out by the power source. And for that, it’s absolutely awesome.

I did not enjoy my experience at this establishment. I purchased a ‘bottomless coffee’ and did not refill it once. I had to leave quickly due to a change in plans and they wouldn’t give me a small to go cup. We had a breakfast burrito which you warm up in the microwave. It would be nice if that was on the menu. The biscuits and gravy was ok.

The food, atmosphere, and the jazz band they had was all great! Great place for a Sunday brunch!!! I had the burrito which was excellent along with coffee and the best orange juice I have wee had(freshly squeezed). Would definitely go back.

Yummy salads. Greek is my favorite. The variety of textures and flavors in it is perfect. It’s cool they have Paleo and gluten-free options, since that is still pretty rare in Manhattan. The quality of the Sencha(green tea) they have is very good. Baked goods need a lot of work though. I’ve tried a lot of different things and haven’t had anything that is give more than a 5⁄10. The baristas are very nice here, never douchey or rude.

A pretty good place to hang out with best friends. My favorite there is sugar free vanilla latte. I’m sure it’s one of the most popular places to stay to study, to have breakfast, to enjoy your free time. Great place!

First off, Bluestem has the second best cup, of coffee in Manhattan, a recent addition to the coffee scene probably has it topped. The space is ok, not great, though the patio area can be really nice in the right weather. The chow is very good. From continental fare to burritos and quiches, it is all good. Not really a breakfast joint as much as it it a coffee house, though one with a lot of food options. Waitstaff has always been very friendly and sincere. In all, a really great coffee hangout.

Counter service was friendly. Pasta dish was flavorless(though very inexpensive). Wine selection was okay(also inexpensive). Chocolate cake was a write off. Feels more like a coffee shop than a bistro.

My two friends and I ate here for lunch but I’m not sure how we decided on this place. lol I think it was the Unilocal ratings that lead us here. It was around 12:40pm on a Sunday when we came in and there was a semi-short line. The place was relatively full with a few tables here and there available. Since it was Sunday, they had their Sunday brunch menu up. I saw on the floor that they had a bunch of other menus that would probably be swapped in for whichever day it was. There was also a LCD monitor that showed the specials for the day. I ordered a Breakfast Burrito that came with fruit for $ 5.99 and an original bubble tea($ 3.25). I was thinking the original bubble tea would be something that I was used to; however, that wasn’t the case and I was disappointed. My friends ordered a Breakfast Sandwich and a Potato Salsa Quiche. We waited for our food to come which took awhile especially my order. My Breakfast Burrito was okay but was better when I added some Cholula Hot Sauce. I like that hot sauce especially with eggs which was in my breakfast burrito. The potatoes on my plate didn’t taste good to me so I didn’t finish them. The fruit tasted fresh so that’s good. The interior of this place totally felt like a place where college students could grab a bite(or drink) to eat and study. There was a room that could probably hold a few people which seemed more private than the rest of the place. They brew their own beer(I think that’s what the girl said) and that we could try some for either $ 4.99 or $ 5.99(unless I misheard completely). We declined politely but it got me wondering how it tasted like. Oh well…
