I have a love hate relationship with Café 101. Where do I start, umm, lets start with the employees. There is probably only a handful of employes who enjoy working here or at least seem to. The others(for example, the few people who make sandwiches and wraps) seem as if they absolute despise not only where they work, but each person as they take their order. These few individuals don’t even look up at people as they take their orders. I once was asked by one of the employee what kind of bread I wanted and I told him a tomato tortilla, he looked around and then walked to the kitchen, I thought he went to get more tomato tortillas, but another employee said he went on lunch break(yeah, right in the middle of preparing my food). Another incident is when I asked for a wrap and one of the employees cut oddly so that when I went to pick it up all of the content inside fell out. I went back and asked to have it re-made and I got a nasty look. Another annoyance is that there is never any constancy within the food. I can get the same thing three days in a row and it will taste different every day. There are only a few things I actually like here the wraps, the ravioli, the tortellini, and of course my favorite the french fries(preferebly the waffle fries). I would say stay away from the sushi, every time that I’ve had it the rice is hard and the tempura shrimp seem stale if that’s even a thing. The Mexican station they have I would avoid as well, just by looking at the food under those heating lamps, everything looks so dried out and not for human consumption. I only eat here because before, during, and after class it is convenient and I have a meal plan. Other than that I’d use Seamless or wait till I get home to enjoy some nice grub.
