Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Very detailed oriented staff! The roasted pizza was amazing and my steak was cooked to perfection and the amazing grilled octopus should not go unnoticed. They provide complimentary valet parking which is a plus. Anyira the server was very informative about the menu and specials! They have the most amazing ginger cocktail I’ve had in my entire life. Would return any given day! Thumbs up!

This is a really nice place but unfortunately the service is really, really bad I think the worse service I’ve ever had in New York, food is really poor quality, I could have get better quality food in any fast food restaurant, the cocktail wasn’t good at all and plus that the menu is way pricey, if you get distracted you can spend easily more than 200 $ in a table for two

I had brunch here with a group of girls for my friends birthday brunch. I may say being that it was my first time dinning here & the food was actually good. I tend to be a little hesitant about dining uptown because the service seems to always be horrible & food is of poor quality. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance & I shall be returning for dinner :)

Came on a Sunday. Food was great. Drinks were great. Here’s the problem: we came to celebrate a family members birthday. Brought my son who is 2 months old. Didn’t think it was a big deal. It’s a restaurant. Why not? Well after an hour of being there I start seeing tables being served Hookah. Naturally I freak. So I excuse myself with my baby and sit in the car while the rest of the family stays inside. I had no idea there was hookah. I’m a hookah smoker myself but shouldn’t there be times posted for that so when families come with small children we are aware? I guess lesson learned. I will make sure the restaurant isn’t a hookah spot as well. I will be back though… minus a baby lol. This isn’t a negative review on the restaurant. It had a nice vibe and food was good. I just think there was poor management on the hookah service being that families with small children come here. I liked the place…

The place: Has a cool deco, starting with some lights that change the color on the wall behind the bar, 2 or 3 lamps hanging on the restaurant, a brick wall with some white paint thrown to it. The place looks like a workshop, which may be the reason why the name is Cocina Taller, has 3 booths with an Asian style, some high tables as well as some other tables around the restaurant. I don’t have to mention that mostly every restaurant in uptown becomes a club after let’s say 11:00 P.M. Well this is one is not the exception. The restaurant also has an empty space when you get in, that I assume is used as a dance floor or give some space when artists perform. The service: Ines and his busboy, runner are great! They were very attentive and nice! My wife and I drank a bottle of Rose and after I served myself he came and felt bad because he wasn’t there to serve me before I did. Food/drinks: I didn’t get to try any cocktail so, I don’t know if they are good or bad. The bottle of rose was great as well as the price $ 25 dollars for a bottle of wine is a good price to me. In terms of food, Hmmm it wasn’t good, but I wasn’t bad either, I had the stuffed clams. Baked clams stuffed with shrimp, scallops, spinach, and I think also fish. It didn’t have flavor, it was serve with a sauce that was bland. I didn’t even bother to mix the baked clams with it. My wife had the organic salad with chicken that cost: $ 16 dollars!!! The charged us $ 8 for the salad and $ 8 to add a dry grill chicken, That’s insane for a chicken breast or maybe half of a chicken breast. Ahhhhhh I almost forget about this, they also have hookah! I personally don’t smoke hookah while I eat, but people in Uptown does. I recommend you(the costumer) to go and try it, is better than others in the neighborhood if you don’t go Downtown to dine out. I recommend the business owner/manager/chef to improve the quality of the food, it is expensive considering its quality.

Ok this places was very bad! The ambiance was nice. I loved their colors and choice of décor but that’s all. The drinks were bad, like very bad. Example: the«A Tevere is a mojito but instead of mint they used basil. Bad choice. The food was cold, un-seasoned and personally a brick oven pizza shouldn’t be flimsy. I wanted water with lemon, she game me avian water bottle. Maybe they should hire bilingual waitresses. The hookah is ok but you can’t get that wrong. All in all, this place was a no go for me.

Shit food, shit service. They told me I was taking too long to eat and other people wanted to sit, meanwhile there was plenty of open tables available.

Went here with friends, I didn’t have high expectations for this place being that is located right around restaurants that suck and have poor service When we went in someone promptly said hello, we sat at a table next to the window not that there’s much to look at but indoors there is beautifuul décor and a lively ambiance Our waiter was a doll, she was courteous, well mannered and knew the menu. I ordered the passion fruit mojito it was alright. nothing crazy The food was delicious and beautifully plated. I was impressed on the good experience I had at this restaurant. It would be a gem if they didn’t serve hookah but unfortunately that is what gets people in the door in this specific area

One of the best I have had, we were there more than an hour with the same hookah! I know! That’s astounding right! The waiters would check on you often and make sure everything was okay. Cocina taller is definitely on top if there service from start to finish multiple staff visited our table to check up on us. Very clean restaurant knowledgeable of the entire menu great on suggestions and recommendations. I must say the presentation of there dishes taste just as good as it looks must try the mussels sautéed in peppers and sausage yum and also the seafood paella if you’re a seafood lover like I am this will be the dish you should go for clams lobster mussels scallops seasoned amazingly I will definitely be returning for more happy hour my favorite was the white sangria. Only con about this place is that they automatically add 18% to the bill that’s something that makes a restaurant look bad no one has to be force to tip even tho I always leave over 18 percent if the service is good something you guys should consider if its a party of 5 or less not party of 2.

We came here because Vacca Grill next door was closed(Review Pending) and I say it was such a good mishap. The place is gorgeous. Although it was empty when we came in we were greeted very nicely and service was great. The presentation in each dish was exceptional!!! beautiful. The food was really good as well as the drinks. I would definitely recommend this place for a sweet date or work meeting like I did.

Good food, music and drinks. This a fun place for Sunday brunch with a pre fixed menu and limitless sangria or mimosas for $ 26. I loved their beef empanadas and the salmon with potatoes

Cocina Taller– 416 West 203rd street in NYC’s uptown Dyckman section. Came here for dinner on a weekday evening with the guy I meet at the bar the night before at Bodega Negra. When I walked in to the candlelight restaurant, I was greeted with the sounds of live Spanish love ballads known as Bolero, being played by a solo Latin performer, sitting front center of the room on a stool, playing his acoustic guitar. Certainly a romantic setting for a first date. or any given date night. Although it the exterior of the room embraced it’s industrial architecture, it décor of natural wood made the small one room open floor plan surprisingly cozy and even quaint. The feel was that of an italian wine cellar post modernity. Cozy, romantic, with the smell of brick oven and wine. I had the stuffed lobster, which is absolutely amazing! The texture was just right and the flavors of the red sauce that came with it was complimentary layered. Excellent! He had the brick oven seabass, which smelled and tasted amazing! It had a touch of lemongrass white wine reduction that went just perfect with smoke flavors from the brick oven. The staff were on point. Clearly very well trained and professional. They come, serve without no conversational interruption to my party and I. Excellent food. Excellent service. Perfect dinner date spot off the main grid. I will be back! #cocinaTaller #nyc #nyceatery #nycfood #wheretoEat #dyckman #washHeights #dyckmaneats #uptownEats #uptownRestaurants

Nestled in an interesting street is this beautiful place, with great food and exceptional service; fillet mignon was like butter. The crowd was grown and well dressed. I will dine there again and recommend it to friends.

This is an interesting place. First time I went, friends sat at the bar and only order drinks. The male bartender, not sure his name, he’s super nice and friendly. No complaints about him. Then another day we go and tried the food. AWFUL. first, menu is not easy to read, the font used is bad. Then, we ordered this cheese, prosciutto, chicken croquettes, and calamari plate. But we didn’t get this. We got some cheese with prosciutto, olives(tasted like bad, cheap bottle olives), French fries which tasted like frozen fries, not fresh, some mini hot dogs which were not too good because the dough was too greasy(pigs on a blanket), and some meat, which was good. But we didn’t order this and it didn’t taste too good. I wish they change some things. The place is nice.

Came here on a saturday night for an event performance. What a lovely place, decorations was appealing, music was good and appropriate not blasting. Food came out in large plates but looks elegant. I ordered Branzino and cousin the Filet Mignon and caprese salad. Portion size is good Branzino was nice but the winner was the Filet Mignon. It was delicious and soft and just right! Dessert was flan it was ok. Highly recommend this place and our server was Anyira, she was sweet and attentive as are all the staff I encountered here, can’t wait to return :)

I went on a Sunday night with some friends, to watch a performance, which was announced to be from 9 pm and end up showing at 11:20 pm, quiet a wait. In the meant time we decided to explore the menu. Their menu was nor very detailed about all the hidden % which we realized when recieved the bill. About the place it have a nice ambiance. FOOD: The food was phenomenal. I shared the Insalata Mediterraneo $ 10 spinach, arugula, grape tomato, asparagus hearts, roasted macadamia & prosciutto with gorgonzola dressing Each dish was devoured with constant praise though I’d have to say that the Ossobucco Di Vitella $ 28 and Pappardelle Ruspenti with shrimp, spinach and cremini mushrooms, tossed in a fragrant vodka sauce with radicchio took the cake — it was superb. All the food was outstanding. It doesn’t matter what you order because it’s all good; you can’t go wrong. If you’re not sure though, listen to the servers as the recommendations SERVICE: The service here is extremely attentive, constantly checking to see if you need anything/refilling your water glass, etc. Our waitress, Madia she’s super wonderful. She was personable, attentive, kind and patient with us. Her attentiveness and fabulous disposition really made our night. Overall, I really hope to come back, and eat some more of your delicious dishes in this great setting. You have not disappointed me yet.
