Crème café was a nice and surprising find in this neighborhood. The outside reads«Bristle + Crème,» the former part being a hair salon, and it’s a cute concept(although these hybrid artisanal espresso bars are popping up everywhere in the city). You get your coffee and can feast your eyes on the beautiful people(patrons, hair stylist, and barista) that frequent the place. You order at the coffee bar to the right, then take a seat in one of the tables along the window, or at the communal table that divides the salon from the espresso bar. The space itself is pretty big and airy, with tall ceilings. There is free wifi to get work done, but I didn’t see any outlets. The coffee is pretty strong, delicious, and made with great detail. Milk alternatives are also options here(yay). It’s a great place to get some light work done, catch up with a friend, or just sit and relax. I would recommend Crème Café for a good, solid cup of coffee, or just to experience the hybrid artisanal espresso bar experience.

This place is a true neighborhood jem. Tucked away what seems like a fashionable hair salon is this incredible coffee bar. The barista’s are super friendly and knowledgable about their products. It’s this warmth of character that sets them apart from other high end coffee places. They have this homemade oatmeal that I can’t wait to try!

Love this café and the concept – hair salon + espresso bar. I’ve passed by the shop often enough to and from work and always thought the name — Bristle + Crème — super intriguing and the interior rather gorgeous. But never stepped in until one harried morning, coffee deprived(out of stock at home), I walked by and saw the sign, something along the lines of «Frothy, sugary lattes [arrows pointing straight ahead with word«Starbucks”]; and handcrafted, artisan coffee [arrows pointing to the café]». How could I not go in? Marlon, the manager, made me an exceptional latte(they use La Colombe beans from Philly). He even turned me on to the app CUPS, which I use almost entirely at Crème Café. He also exemplifies the rest of the staff who’ve served me – friendly and knowledgeable and they care for their craft. The space itself is open and gorgeous, with light wide planked floors and tall ceilings(there’s a loft area for spa services); very clean, with a cool Swedish aesthetic. Since I only go in the morning, it is usually empty. I’d like to one day go and sit inside to get a real sense of the ambiance. And maybe get a haircut, too. I hope more people try the café(and use CUPS to get a delicious discounted cup). Only down side is Monday mornings, when I am looking forward to a cup… then remember they’re closed. But this in no way is a negative on them. Only down for me!

Cool idea and great execution. I’ve only been there once, but had a great latte. It is nice to buy local at places with personality. More later.

This place opened up recently, about 3 weeks ago as I chatted up the barista. I walk in and no one seemed to be paying attention. Yes, I know there was a photo shoot going on, cool. Asian model looking fabulous. So this place is a hair salon with also a coffee bar. I was on my way to a meeting and wanted a cup of coffee. Yes, they have cold brew. It is from La Colombe Torrefaction bottled pure black cold brew. Barista was nice and helpful. The cold brew will set you back $ 4, but yes it gave me wings for the afternoon. This place is sexy, has potential, let’s see if it survives…

Quick and friendly service! A hair salon and café shared space. My cappuccino was delicious!
