eBay Holiday Pop Up Shop

Smack in the middle of midtown and in the shadow of Louis Vuitton (right, in photo), eBay’s holiday shop pops like a brilliantly colored bubble.
If you’re anywhere near midtown Manhattan, stop in and remind yourself why you love eBay!
Organized in deliciously digestible bites, there’s inspiration all around with vignettes for the four season retro family (love the vintage monokini and Frette beach blanket), techie toys for urbanistas, and plenty of eco-​friendly items to inspire.
I went on opening day and ran into ecoFabulous’ Zem Joaquin who gave me the skinny on eco-​friendly gifts for the holidays… all available on eBay for $$$ off retail, no crowds required!
I rounded the corner and bumped into Norma Kamali doing an interview to promote her only-​available-​on-​eBay line. What do you say to an icon? I clammed up and just stood in awe. She looks damn good, is still creating stunning pieces, and works tirelessly to raise funds for her charity in supporting New York public schools. Hope she pops in frequently from her flagship around the corner on 56^th.
It came in the form of a chandelier crafted from materials sourced on eBay.
At last report, no one had been spotted swinging from it, but I left before eBay super shopper (and seller!) Kim Kardashian arrived…
Enjoy the door-​buster prices in an upscale boutique setting now through Nov. 29 (except Thanksgiving day) from 10am-7:30am daily, Sundays from 11am.
