Edy’s Barber Shop

I was staying at the Radisson around the corner and found Edy’s on Unilocal.Don’t get put off by the 2^nd floor location or the fact that you will possibly have your haircut next to a woman having her eyebrows/​face being threaded! Edy set to work cutting my hair carefully and meticulously exactly or quite possibly even better than I wanted. He is a soft spoken man but we had a meaningful conversation about where I was from (Phoenix) and what it was like to live there. We even discussed politics, immigration, my family-​his family-​it was great fun. All the while though, he is staying focused on the mission. I also had an excellent shave. My wife said it might have been the BEST haircut I ever had so you know it had to be good !! His prices are even more reasonable than my regular guy in Phoenix. I look forward to my next trip to NYC and an Edy haircut will be on the agenda !!

Edy is as meticulous as they come with regards to cutting hair. He always does a great job and every time I go we end up talking about something different then we have previously. When I came back nearly 2 months after my first cut with him he knew exactly what I wanted without me saying a thing. Great and genuine guy, easy to talk to and he gives a great haircut, especially for the price.

Edy is fast, good, kind. No nonsense no frills great haircut. I used to pay 100 $ a cut. No more

Edy is the man. Did a really solid bead trim for me quickly and at the right price.

Open Bright & Early. Edy is the man with a steady hand and sharp scissors! For 12 $ he applied his craft and made my frock of a dome look presentable!
Located upstairs of a corner Deli… The barbershop shares a space with a respectable salon eyebrow threading foot massage type business… a block from Penn Station… He has me in and out when I’ve got some time waiting for the train, and has never made me late.
Barbershop chit chat has always bored me with a feeling that the same conversation takes place in the chair dozens of times a day… a carbon copied rehearsal just to pass the time. However… Edy is a genuine dude capable of thoughtful conversation with perspective. I’ll probably end up having a beer with this guy when I go bald and there is no hair to cut. But until that day arrives he keeps what I got left looking pretty damn good!

Really good barbershop and very friendly employees. I like the style of their barbershop and I hope that people will came here more.

Edy is meticulous and, with a little patience contributed from the customer, every single hair on your head will be individually and artistically hand-​cut by the maestro.

I live in San Francisco, but travel regularly to New York and wait to get my hair cut at Edy’s. I never find anyone who does a good cut for me but Edy and his other barber have given me a great cut all year now.
Not only is the cut great, but there are always a fun group of regulars that come again and again at the shop and I’ve had some amazing conversations with his customers while getting my hair cut.
So the combination of a great cut and great conversation make Edy’s a must. Check it out!

First off there is no tanning here. It’s just a barber shop for men!
Edy is the man. Keeps a tight ship. Never too packed. Good prices. And you can call his cell phone direct for reservations. And cuts good hair. I recommend getting your cuts from edy himself.
