F Squared PT

I’ve gone to a few PT’s over the last years but have never had a better experience than with F2PT.
I came to see Andrew for my IT band issue, and within a few weeks I was ready to train and race triathlons again. He properly diagnosed what was wrong, made it better with every session we had and was very good at explaining the issue and cause so I would understand and know what to do to keep it from coming back.
Andrew also did two bike fits for me (different bikes) and both times I thought the results were amazing. They changed my riding tremendously and got me in a comfortable yet efficient position for my races. The facilities are also beautiful, which is a bonus. I highly recommend them!

Paul is the absolute best. He is extremely attentive and knowledgeable. He has helped me through multiple injuries, to my foot, back and elbow. Paul always seems to have an answer and he always listens and understands my problems. Also, I have has issues with my insurance denying payment for the sessions and Paul has been very helpful in appealing the denial which I imagine would be a headache if I had to figure it out on my own. I always look forward to my sessions with Paul and I can’t recommend him highly enough. The facility and the training rooms are an absolutely beautiful space. I will keep going back to Paul for any future injuries.

I started seeing Paul Ochoa right after having ACL reconstruction surgery Jan 30. My surgeon was fantastic and I needed a PT just as fantastic to get me back to running! Enter Paul. I was referred by a friend to F Squared and I am so happy I choose them. I am 7wks post op and have full function back. I know this is a direct result of Paul and his expertise. He is kind, and his knowledge is insane. I have seen many PT’s in NYC, and I thank my lucky stars every day I came here. I hope to start running soon again. I can’t say enough about Paul. The office is great, the staff is awesome in explaining how the billing will work. Most PT’s, you come in get maybe 30 minutes, and then sit with ice for 10 and you are on your way. Not here — you spend 1hr with them and it is the best hour. I will say, if you need PT for any reason, not just post op, this is the place to go! You won’t be sorry!

After years of soccer I found myself constantly injured. Countless sessions with other physical therapists left me frustrated and no nearer to getting off the treatment table.
Enter Chad, who with his knowledge and friendly attitude had me properly diagnosed and treated within a matter of weeks. I went from thinking I would just have to deal with these injuries and get on with things to being able to play at a level I hadn’t reached in years. I even competed in the NYC triathlon, something I never even imagined I could finish.
I can’t say enough good things about this practice, my only regret is I didn’t find them earlier.

F2PT was absolutely fantastic! My ankle has never felt better!
Paul and Chad are real pro’s and very helpful. Always willing to work with my hectic schedule and find a way to fit me in at the last minute! Oh yeh, and I’m uninsured. They didn’t bat an eye. Just asked how soon I could come in.
My ankle has been bad for as long as I can remember after a terrible sprain. It’s been over 2 years. As a very fit and active person who cycles regularly, I knew this was something I needed treated asap. I original saw a physio therapist who worked on my ankle for 15mins a week — the remaining 45mins of the session was spent with physio assistants, most didn’t have a good idea of what they were doing and what my needs were — without ever prescribing any home exercise. My ankle started to feel better but never felt better than 80% even after 10 sessions
After dealing with the problem for years, I went and saw Paul at F2PT and within 6 sessions, Paul managed to strengthen my ankle to a level where I was cycling confidently once again. My ankle has never felt stronger and my cycling has improved drastically as a result. my top speed and cadence as well as the distances I can go have all come up as a result of Paul’s work.
Paul actually delved into the root of the problem (my lower back and sciatic nerve) rather than simply masking the symptoms to make me feel as though I was improving. he also encouraged me to work on exercises that he prescribed for me to do at home. Instead of keeping me in physio for more sessions, Paul insisted that I needed to continue the therapy at home so I could speed up my recovery.
I mean, I could write a whole lot more but it’s pretty simple. Paul and Chad are the best. I think the other testimonials I read here are evidence enough of their prowess!

Paul is an amazing physical therapist. I’ve had various issues over the years and have been to physical therapists before. Paul was by far the best. He takes the time to figure out the problem and determine a therapy plan that is unique to your situation. He works with you intensely during your appointment and makes sure that you are progressing in your treatment. He is flat-​out amazing.

F2PT is amazing. I have been going here for a very nasty shoulder injury (bike accident with multiple clavicle breaks, scar tissue, nerve damage, rotator cuff damage) and they’ve worked wonders. With their help I did a marathon 6 months after the accident and am on target to do a half Ironman 9 moths after and an Ironman again 1 year later. Given how bad an injury I had this is amazing work!
You couldn’t find nicer and more thoroughly effective/​knowledge people as Chad, Paul, and Gurbans. They’re great! Very trustworthy. I can’t recommend them more highly. You should go see them.

Gurbans Kaur is one of those gifted professionals who not only aid you in the healing process but also arm you with the knowledge and tools to keep yourself healthy. She is methodical, thorough, empathetic and realistic in tailoring regimens that fit your needs and schedules. And oh yeah, she sparkles, too. I was actually sad when my foot issues were solved and I couldn’t go anymore. I would highly recommend her and her practice.

I came to Chad a few years ago after over a year of severe back pain. There wasn’t much I hadn’t tried (other PT’s, massage, accupuncture, chiro, etc.)… Chad not only stopped my pain but taught me how to keep it from coming back. I have seen him since for a shoulder, foot and numerous other injuries– I don’t think I would have any sanity left without him.
Do your mind and your body a favor and GO SEE CHAD.

Not only are Chad and Paul great guys, they’re also terrific physical therapists. I’ve been in and out of PT for years for various issues, and working with Chad was the first time someone actually put all the pieces together and treated me from A to Z. When I injured my knee 3 weeks before a big bike ride from Boston to NY, I thought I’d have to pull out. But Chad probed and prodded and fixed me up like new in time to still ride. I couldn’t have asked for better!

What’s better than a great Physical Therapist? Two of them! Paul and Chad are a completely reliable team who have both helped me and my clients literally get back onto our feet. I have referred athletes, dancers, and clients recovering from injury and always been pleased with their standard of care. It is invaluable to have their perspective, feedback, and professional attention.

Chad is a truly talented PT. I am a triathlete and he has helped me recover from a separated shoulder and NUMEROUS leg issues due to running injuries.

I came in to see Chad for my Plantar Fascitiis after 2 months of unsuccessful treatment. I found him to be extremely friendly and knowledgeable during our therapy sessions — he also gave me some useful exercise/​advice that I was able to use outside our regular therapy sessions. In fact, even though I came in for Plantar Fascitiis, after explaining certain issues I felt in my workout/​training sessions, he was able to diagnose an underlying condition that also affected other aspects of my life. So not only did he help treat my condition, he also help resolve a long standing issue that none of my personal trainers were able to resolve.

I’ve gone to a lot if PT’s over the years and these guys are the best. They will help you achieve your goals and as athletes themselves know how important it is to an individual trying to expand their fitness.

As a pro triathlete and coach, I depend on Chad, Paul and their staff for their wealth of knowledge in understanding and diagnosing issues that limit or sideline performance. Their approach to understanding an issue and the sometimes very complex chain of kinetic interactions that lead to it is unprecedented.
There are hundreds of physical therapists in NYC. It took me a long time to find one that I truly trust with my own active body and the dozens of athletes I work with.

I saw Chad after my hip surgery when I moved to the city. He was so great in getting me back to where I wanted to be. He is not only a really great physical therapist, but a great guy. He makes sure patients are comfortable and happy. He is one of the most personable PTs I have ever been to. If you are rehabbing an injury and want to get back into your normal life, definitely go see Chad!

F2PT is a great choice for physical therapy!
First, the environment at the office is great. The office is peaceful, clean, and open. You can tell that all the practitioners are there to help us get better. The energy is nice because there are a variety of practitioner types.
Next, the physical therapy itself is thorough and individualized. Paul Ochoa will not rush you out of the office and not be treating a handful of other patients at the same time. Each session feels rehabilitative and strengthening.
Last, but not least, if you’re interested, you can learn a lot about your treatment from F2PT. Paul will teach you why you are doing each stretch and each strengthening exercise in much more detail than other physical therapists I’ve seen.

I’ve had an agitated knee for as long as I can remember and had pretty much accepted it. Until I worked with Paul, I never had much confidence in any other professional I consulted. Paul nailed down what caused my pain right away and I could feel improvement pretty much immediately after working with him. Would wholeheartedly recommend Paul to everybody and plan on continuing with him myself indefinitely.

Chad and Paul were wonderful! I had to go out of town for work a week after I was prescribed to go to PT for 6 weeks! F2PT somehow managed to see me right away and fit me in for a few sessions that week to get as much therapy in as possible before I had to leave town. Paul worked with me personally the entire session and never left me alone with exercises. I loved that he then gave me exercises to continue while I was out of town that progressed. F2PT is incredibly professional, friendly, welcoming, and comfortable. I never felt like I was being squeezed in out to see as many people as possible, like most PTs in NY. I’d see them again in a heartbeat and I’ll recommend them to anyone I know in need of PT. I was sent to them by referral and I look forward to passing on the favor!

Paul is exceptional PT — I came to see him a year ago after a month of seeing a PT in a box like treatments… following a torn labrum shoulder surgery. He works out of a terrific loft space in a very casual, professional atmosphere. Until I met Paul, I didn’t realize a true pro, (not me left alone in a corner with a rope), does most of the work during the session. I recovered nicely from the surgery and I credit him for healing me well. Highly recommend.

I got back surgery several months ago, and I have been seeing another physical therapist since the surgery to help me recover, but I wasn’t making much progress. I switched to Chad Woodard at F2PT, and I started seeing better results after only two sessions. Chad demonstrated an extremely thorough knowledge of body mechanics and noticed a lot of things my other therapist had missed. Plus, he’s a great talker during sessions!

Paul helped me get back on my feet twice. Once literally, following a running injury. And the second time figuratively — nursing me through golfers elbow — even though I’ve never golfed a day in my life. Both were pleasant experiences (not the injuries, but the cures).
There is a reason I sought out Paul a second time; I’ve experienced many physical therapy scenarios over the years. And they’ve all been fine. But my standards are higher than ‘fine’ when it comes to my health.
With Paul, it’s personal. For each one-​hour visit, I got his undivided attention. There are no interns to be passed off to. There are no overlapping appointments. Paul’s approach is thoughtful, honest, direct and current. He not only clearly knows his craft, but he really seems to care. Oh yeah, and it doesn’t hurt that the space is very high-​end.
