Food Cart At 68th and York

Pretty good cart. It’s fast, and the chicken is tender. You get a side salad with it. But somehow I think the cart on 69^th and York is better. Maybe because they add cinnamon to the rice?
In any case, it’s $ 5.50 for a chicken and rice box v. $ 5 at the other cart. However, if you get a soda, they’re both a total of $ 6.

Decent food, generous portion!
Ordered a chicken with rice. Huge chunk of chicken but a bit bland. The white sauce is just average. The hot sauce is definitely spicy!
We were disappointed with the rice. The rice don’t taste fresh. There were few dried up pieces.
$ 6 for chicken & rice, it also comes with a drink.

Late night eats are few and far between in Yorkville. This food cart is open ²⁴⁄₇ and is conveniently located within a 1 – 2 block radius of the three main hospitals.
What sets this halal cart apart from the rest is the chunkiness of the meat. A majority of the chicken and lamb plates I’ve tried at various halal carts throughout the city chop it up so much that it’s pulverized by the time it gets onto your plate. This cart has nice, big, hearty chunks of well-​seasoned, juicy meat nestled on top of plenty of perfectly cooked rice. I recommend the combo platter that comes with a side salad too. Beware of the hot sauce. It is hot, hot, hot! I ask for it on the side so I can control the heat.
Huge portions! One order will easily last me two meals. For $ 6, which includes your drink of choice, it’s a steal!
Food is made to order and you can even call in ahead of time to avoid the wait.

As a person working late nights in the area of 70^th and york, I am a regular visitor and I find the people working in the surrounding hospitals/​research institutes hounding this place. So I decided, it is time, this gets a review.
It is the normal halal chicken, lamb, falafel, place. It is open 24 hours. Being vegetarian, I normally have the falafel over rice. The vendor is super nice and makes it fresh everytime. Sumptuous food that can also last another meal. The drinks are just a dollar and the meals are 6 $. Very reasonable, tasty and available at all hours with a smile. I am sold
