I am so happy I found Gina… I came in last week for a haircut and left feeling amazing with a fantastic haircut. The salon is clean, modern, and cozy and Gina’s team is so sweet and welcoming, making every client feel at home and cared for.
I would recommend this salon to anyone and plan to return in 6 weeks for a trim and possible color.

This review only speaks to the blowout I received. This salon may excel at ambiance, haircuts, whatever else the positive reviews were for. However, I certainly cannot speak the same for my blowout.
The service, what should normally take 45 min, lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes today. My stylist kept insisting this was because I had thick hair, but to be perfectly clear, I have, for the most part, straight, slightly frizzy, long, Asian hair. Even if we were to chalk things up to the condition of my hair, I have visited numerous other salons that have been able to provide the same service, if not better, in a fraction of that time. That says something.
But fine, let’s say that it was all worth it in the end, that the 1.3 hours I wasted resulted in a fabulous blowout. That would also be a lie.
The stylist started on the left side of my head, but as she began feeling rushed, I noticed she did not use hairspray with each curl she set. Currently, the right side of my hair looks like a frizzy, mangled mess, and my left side looks only semi decent. She also did not take into account my explicit request (made multiple times even) to set my bangs a particular way.
To be fair, my stylist was very nice and understanding, and who knows, she may be awesome at coloring or whatever else is her specialty, but blow drying certainly is not.
To top if all off, not only did I not have a terrible blowout, but because it lasted such a ridiculously long time, my schedule for the rest of the day was completely ruined.
My experience here was a thorough disappointment.

I just love this place. The previous reviewers were spot on when mentioning Paul, Gina and Lil treat you like old friends. The salon is intimate, attitude-​free and the vibe is refreshingly positive. Paul (my new guru for all things hair-​related) whipped my complicated tresses into submission and gave me the most natural highlights I’ve ever had. Previous stylists had me in the chair for 3 hours to achieve what Paul did in half the time. The results? Infinitely better. *Added bonus* while processing, he’ll share insider tips on everything from proper shampooing to 60-​second up-​dos to blow drying like a pro. So this is it people, if you’re looking for talented downtown stylists sans attitude, they’ve totally nailed it.

Fantastic experience! I was coming to NYC for the weekend for a special event. I was in contact with Gina via email/​phone. Wasn;t sure what I wanted to do with my hair that night. She was awesome, fun, flexible and very attentive (like everyone else in the salon). She also did my makeup. Left there feeling great! Thank you Gina. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Wow, this is by far my favorite salon. I had such a wonderful experience at Gina’s salon. Gina and her staff are kind and welcoming and know all of their clients very well. When you walk in you feel as though you are hanging out with friends.
My hair!!! I could not be happier! After a series of bad haircuts and dye jobs I resorted to cutting and coloring my own hair with boxed dyes. This destroyed my hair and left me looking like a shaggy dog. I did not know what to do or how to fix it but Gina is extremely knowledgable and got me right back on track to fix the integrity of my hair. My cut and color and are absolutely gorgeous. I left with great products and advice on how to better care for my hair until my next appointment. The only downside is that now I’m spending a little too much time admiring my new hair style in the mirror!

I came here for a bang trim because Bumble and Bumble down the block refused to give me a bang trim unless I pay for a regular haircut. Lee saw me right away, and treated me nicely. Thank you for opening my eyes (literally) to see the salons that are in business to actually help the customers instead of just looking to make the dough.

I’m a very reluctant gal when it comes to cutting my hair, I moved up here last year from Texas and have not cut my hair since because my old stylist is back in Houston, but a friend of mine referred me to Gina and all I Can say is I am Happy to say that I have found MY stylist in NYC She does Amazing Work, and is very understanding and walks you through and listens and caters to all your needs and request! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! And can’t wait to go back!

I could not say more about theses people. Gina and Lee and about 2 other hairdressers saved my hair from absurdity. I came in with a nightmare of a color correction and they worked tirelessly over 2 days to fix it– and when they didn’t fix it the first time, they told me to come back and worked on it again FREE OF CHARGE. I’m glad people like this still exist. GO. They are talented and trustworthy and very good at their job.

I can’t express how much I loved my experience. Paul was referred to me by a co-​worker when I was looking for a new, fresh style. Not only was Paul so, so talented, but the feel of the salon was like being with old friends. I walked out with magazine-​worthy hair and still have an amazing cut that works for my super lazy, low-​maintenance, don’t-have-time-to-worry-about-styling lifestyle. Love them.

I absolutely L O V E this salon. GIna is wonderful, all around! Lee and Paul worked their magic on my hair… and I am beyond happy with their skills. Lee gave me a fabulous cut… I asked him to keep my hair long but to cut, cut, cut away… I love the beautiful layers and the bangs he gave me! And Paul gave me beautiful highlights! My hair stylists forever. I soooo heart you, Gina, Lee & Paul! I highly recommend this place; it’s a four seat salon with excellent service!

I LOVE Gina Le Salon and would not go anywhere else! Paul is the BEST! I could not go to anyone else. He understands my hair better then I do. Gina has created a wonderful, accommodating, knowledgeable, place to receive the attention and results for the best hair cut, color, etc

Love Gina and her crew. They are super nice, super professional and I feel confident that they know what they are doing. When someone is doing your hair, it is important to feel confident in their ability! I feel comfortable and happy at the salon. It’s not a snooty downtown place, but I feel like I’m getting the same quality service as the snooty places that advertise superb service

I just walked in the parlor randomly… I was very upset with my then hair cut which I had at another salon… I met LE and it ws like he read my mind… they are a bunch of awesome ppl… Gina made me feel comfortable and LE did my hair… I have booked them for life. I love the new look and I m happy tht I found them lucky me… I would highly recommend them. if u hv a bad hair cut or you are confused which salon to choose frankly just walk in to Gina le and speak to them. once u hv met Le and consulted him you wud know what I am talking abt… they are worth every penny. no regrets. Gina is a magician. I have thin graying fly-​away hair. I got an incredible cut and color and had so much fun! Her salon is a group therapy laugh riot. Oh. and FYI: this wasn’t a one time got lucky thing. She’s been making my hair look great for years.

I love going to this place-Let’s start with that. I left after my first visit and kissed all the staff on my way out-​Not kissed-​kissed, but you know what I mean!
I only get services and spend my money at places where I not only get what I want but my overall experience is pleasant and leaves me feeling good. It’s actually fun to get my hair done at Gina Le Salon!
Gina does my hair. I usually want a boost to my color-​sometimes it’s the roots, other times I want a few strands of light color, and sometimes I want a toner to enrich the overall head-​Gina plays with many more options than single process or highlights. Sometimes it’s not that simple.
I just was there last week and I left (like always) feeling good about myself. In a three day span (after hair cut and color-​we did my roots and a toner to calm down all the sun bleaching!) I got FOUR «you look great, did you do something to your hair?». I got TWO «Let me get your number» (WHILE I WAS DRIVING!!) and ONE Marriage proposal-​haha. I say it’s because of my hair!
P. S. I wanted bangs-​I know I don’t look good with bangs and so did Gina! But what she did was, cut my hair so it looked like I had once had bangs and they were growing out-​She found a way!

Gina has been my hair stylist since 1991, and I have brought my wife, both teenage children, and friends to have her style their hair. I see her even after moving out of NYC and now living in the suburbs; she is worth it!
I can count the number of times I have «cheated» on her during the past two decades on both hands. After each time, she is so gracious in fixing my hair shape that others messed up.
Gina is the best there is, period.
She is so much more than a stylist; I call her a hair architect; everything about that metaphor holds true to her talent. She understands better than anyone I could ever find everything about thickness, volume, shape, texture, body, depth. She can also predict how your hair will grow out.
Her styling is also amazingly cost effective. Indeed, one haircut, and I get at least three different «looks» as my hair grows, from short, to wavy, to flowing. I just don’t know how she knows how my hair will grow out so well; call it talent.
Forget about any other review written on any stylist (who the heck was «David»?) that may have worked for Gina in the past.
You go there to see Gina. Oh, and by the way, her colorist, Lee, is also very talented. Ever seen a women with highlights that look, well, stripy? That won’t happen with Lee.

I’ve had my hair cut by both Melissa and Gina (the owner), both do a superb job and are great people to boot. Love every time I come in, so accommodating and awesome. I’m not a dude who ‘speaks hair,’ even though I don’t necessarily have a simple cut. Both Melissa and Gina take time to discuss how they see my hair before we do the cut and give pointers on how to maintain as far as product, a hair dryer, as well as accommodating my desire for as few steps as possible in the morning. I feel a lil bad I «cheat» on them with each other, but they’re both great and so usually comes down to if I have time during the week or weekend. I highly recommend them both.

I received a haircut here a while ago by David. I was very disappointed by his styling techniques — I thought he he cut my hair too short and made it too heavy on one side. When I voiced my opinion, he disagreed with me and tried to convince me the cut was fine, but I didn’t pay $ 80 for just a «fine» haircut. I regret ever stepping foot in this salon and would recommend against it.
