TASTYCHICKENOVERRICE Disclaimer: I’m not quit sure whether this is the one I got my food from(since the one I went to was located on 28th St. and Fashion Ave.) Anyway, if this is the one, then I must give a few compliments. I really like their selection of side vegetables, since instead of just serving some lettuce and tomato, they also give you some corn, black beans, onion(which I didn’t get), peppers, and cilantro! The cilantro really gave that extra kick, and I’m so excited that they give it to you(although some people might dislike/even hate the taste). Also, this place(if this is the place I got mine from) has some really good white sauce. It’s not watery like most of the white sauce from halal carts(God knows how much water they mixed whatever sauce they had left over in there). Also, the hot sauce they used actually had flavor to it! The texture of the rice is soft and easy to chew, and I promise it won’t get stuck in your throat when you take a big bite! The chicken was very delicious, soft and full of flavor! I haven’t tried the lamb, but that might be the next thing to check off from my food list! I love the combination of the whole meal and would come back for more!

There are Halal carts on virtually every street corner in NYC now, so let me be precise: I’m talking about the one on the SW corner of the 7th Ave/34th Street intersection on the Right side of Madison Square Garden. This hard working guy works next to another cart that sells hot dogs so don’t confuse them. For FIVELOUSYBUCKS he will sell you an insanely delicious combination of seasoned boneless chicken chunks, rice, hot steamed vegetables(carrots, onion, cabbage) and cold salad(lettuce and tomato) with your choice of white sauce, BBQ sauce and or hot sauce. I’ve waited in the rain for this great stuff on numerous occasions. I’m salivating just writing about it!

I’m officially a real New Yorker now! Thanks 34th&7th Ave Halal Cart! In the time that I’ve been here I’ve YET to eat at one of these carts. After partying up the street @ Empire, 2am I decided to dive right into a halal chicken platter(comes w rice & leaves of some sort – salad?). White sauce you say? You mean ‘tahini’? NOOOOOOO… Gimme BBQ! After consistant insistance by both my friend and the halal guy, I tried some of this white sauce on the side. «Cucumber sauce» he says it was. OMFG, delish!!! Gimme more! Omnomnomnomnom Wait, Gimme MORE! Omnomnomnomnom Wait, no – smother that shit! *bliss*
