Gus is fantastic. He mounted two flat screen tv’s, hung shelves and moved a mirror. All the while, entertaining my five year olds antics and my nosy questions. He worked quickly and efficiently. I am so glad to have found him. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone and will be calling him again.

As cool and as diligent as it gets. My GF and I had the pleasure of meeting Gus, and seeing his absolute brilliance, and craftsmanship, in action this past week. Not only does he produce results that are more than outstanding, he’s funny, polite, and takes great pride in getting to know you, and doing the job the right way. Our only regret is he couldn’t stay longer and have a beer or two with us
Simply put, great at what he does, and even greater to now call him a friend of ours.

Gus did a great job installing curtains, shelves, and a few others items for me, and I’d recommend hm to anyone. He’s also a genuinely nice guy which makes for a much better experience. He was on time, prompt, and efficient. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend Gus for all home projects and installations! He has wall mounted my flat screen and set up my floor to ceiling curtains. All with complete professionalism and very timely. I’m very satisfied with his workmanship and will schedule him for anything I have come up in the future!

Gus did a fine job hanging three curtain rods. One of the rods required we drill into a cinder block so he went home and got a hammer drill. He wasn’t satisfied with the stability offered by the rod screws so he added a few zip ties and it’s a good thing he did because later, as I was putting the curtains on the rod the latter certainly would have fallen out if not steadied by the zip. Anyway, highly recommend.

After moving apartments, I was upset to find my sofa didn’t fit through my apartment door. I was desperate for a solution and looked online for a handyman to remove the door and try to get it in that way. Gus answered the phone straight away and was very friendly and confident he could do the job after I sent him photos of the door and sofa. He was able to come the same day and did a fantastic job — removing and replacing the complicated door hinges, and carrying the sofa in by himself. I was incredibly relieved and impressed with his handy work.
He came prepared with all the tools for the job, exactly on time, and he was so friendly and put me at easy immediately, on a particularly stressful day.
I would absolutely call him again and recommend him to anyone!

Gus was amazing! I needed a rod installed in my apartment and he was able to come the next day. He also helped me fix a minor issue that I was having with my TV. Gus charged significantly less than other handymen that I spoke with and was extremely nice/​professional. I will be calling him again!

Gus is Great! He came to my apt, and installed my TV expertly & quickly. He also installed my fire alarm and we made plans for another project in the kitchen that he has already followed up on with me about today! Gus is a true professional and I owe him a beer! Or 2. Contacted Gus last minute to help fix our broken door that had been kicked in. He was extremely prompt on responding to emails/​text and very flexible with time. He came right over and got to work. He was extremely professional, polite and an overall great guy. If I ever have another issue, I will not hesitate to give him a call! He did a wonderful job!!!

Gus. The man! Extremely grateful for Gus coming to help with the installation of a few things for me this evening. He’s the type of guy I want to go grab a beer with. Talkative, interesting, polite and of course, brilliant at what he does. It was a pleasure to speak to him and learn of his genuine passion and enjoyment for the job at hand. A fellow Upper East Sider, I will definitely be using him in the future, and of course, he will be my go-​to Handyman for any friends/​clients of mine. WOW!!! What a wonderful way to find an efficient, conscientious, capable handyman. I had a fantastic experience with Gus the Handyman. My armoire’s door came loose on Thursday afternoon. I immediately went to find a handyman on Unilocal.One of the best experiences I’ve ever had!!!
Gus responded immediately to my message and we made an appointment for Friday afternoon after normal hours. Gus texted me that he was running a few minutes late but arrived shortly. He did the job quickly and efficiently, charged a normal fee and was willing to return to do more work on Monday.
Could not have asked for a better experience!!! Will turn to Unilocal more often.

Gus has done several things around my apartment (s) for me including mounting TVs and shelves, hanging photos and mirrors, etc. I have plans for him to do many more items on my list in coming months. I have also recommended Gus to several friends who have been very happy with his work and how quickly he was able to help them. He is definitely my go-​to handyman!
