PLEASEPLEASEEATHERE! The food is just so freaking good and the service is amazing! I called for delivery a few times and finally went into the restaurant to pick up my food and the lady working there was like, «Vivian…you finally came in! It’s so good to meet you!» :-) How very sweet! The lamb dibi is just amazing and they give you so much food! I also order the grille whole fish and it is just heavenly! The fish is usually tilapia and has bones, just FYI. I order rice as a side or plantains and the«sides» can be a whole other meal in itself! I really enjoy eating here because it is good food made by good people!

The lamb dibi was amazing with the sweet plantains and couscous. The cashier/waitress was very friendly, helpful with the menu and explanation of the food and extremely beautiful. My new spot for African food.

There isn’t a week that goes by that we don’t have something from La Nomade. A favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Friendly service. Lamb Dibi is a favorite and the chicken brochettes. The whole fish, everything is outstanding. Highly recommend this place!!!

I like them. They are fairly consistent. One time my rice was burned. One time they forgot to include the rice. There was an extra charge because I used my debit card but the order was 13 $. That’s illegal. But I support businesses with immigrants as the owners. So if someone is reading this please let them know. — Tried them again. Last time I’ll go. The lady is over all rude and unappreciative. Considering of all the business I’ve given her since June you would think she would treat her loyal and frequent customers with a bit more respect. The food isn’t worth the inconsistencies at all.

Ordered a chicken sandwich and lamb dibi as delivery. Specifically told the person who took my order that I had a severe allergy to cucumbers, melons, etc. Upon arrival I bit into my sandwich only to find that there was cucumbers diced up inside the sandwich. When I called to complain, instead of apologizing, I was told to bring back the sandwich and then later told that someone would come to my home to take the sandwich, bring it back to the store, and then it will be determined if I could get a new sandwich or refunded. Let’s just say that if a store doesn’t care about a severe food allergy I am sure they don’t care about other important things like being CLEAN.

Absolutely love this place! They have the best Lamb Dibi hands down! This is my first choice for good Senegalese food. The lady who takes my order always greats me and is really friendly. Other notable items on the menu I recommend is the chicken dibi and the peanut stew.

La Nomade serves flavorful and authentic Senegalese food at a price that can’t be beat. You get a lot of food for your money; you can get an entrée and two sides for under $ 20 for two/three people. Absolutely love this place. A couple of recommendation: Lamb Dibi, and for those who enjoy spicy food, Chicken Dibi. Bön appétit!

Killer portions — killer food. Consider splitting an entrée, esp. at the price-point, makes it v reasonable. Also, as other reviewers have noted: there’s often a discrepancy between the menu options and reality of what’s available… silver lining — an excuse to new things!

I am an exotic eater, so when I heard there was a Senegalese restaurant just blocks from my place of stay, I had to jump upon the adventure train to try a new cuisine. Africa is a vast continent, so to say that I was familiar with the food because I have had Moroccan and Ethiopian food would be also admitting that I am an ignorant fool. Thus, I came in with NO idea of what I would be getting myself into and what sort of food I would be trying. ITISCASHONLY. Know this now. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. La Nomade makes wonderful and flavorful food. It’s very tasty and unique, and the food has a lot of life to it. I would suggest getting a stew with rice. I would also suggest lamb. This is a good introduction to the kind of food they serve here and it will fill you up nicely to boot! If you’re really scared of new food, then get the steak sandwhich. Surprisingly similar to Banh-Mi sandwiches of Vietnamese cuisine. Pretty delicious. Overall, good service and its clean inside. I wish I could give this place a 4.8 but Unilocal doesn’t let you, so a 5 will have to do!

The first time my partner and I went in to try this place, the gentleman behind the counter informed me they had no meat. So we came another time and they had most of everything that was on the menu.

This place is AWESOMESAUCE! You can get a whole pile of lamb, rice or salad and two kinds of onions for just a few bucks — super-tasty and perfect after a run through Jackie Robinson park! While the lamb is our favorite, we’ve sampled the stews and other goodies, and seriously, everything here is great, never had a bad mouthful here — great for eat-in or take out.

This place is good, really good. Especially for this side of Jackie Robinson Park. I’m a huge fan of the lamb(which, yes, can be slightly fatty, it’s lamb), it comes packed with flavor and the sides are delicious. My fiancé loves the chicken brochette, it’s tender and incredibly flavorful with the hint of char. Yes, it’s kind of expensive(and cash only) but the portions are huge. I get at least dinner and a lunch out of it. So why not 5 stars? They frequently run out of things. Every time we’ve called to place an order for pick up, they’ve run out something we want. The last time was kind of funny because they were out of the thing that 3 of the 4 of us wanted. They didn’t know until they put they order in and had to call us back 3 separate times to tell us they were out of x, y and z. La Nomade, I love you but you need to order more food!
