$ 7.50 for three of the most mediocre tacos I’ve had in New York. Not worth the 15 – 20 minute wait. As the other reviewers have stated, the clientele is largely Latino, but I disagree that there is a valid assumption this equals good food. The pollo and bistek tacos I had were of the lowest quality meat. I don’t care if I had dark and light meat chicken in my meals, but blending gristle and sinew into the meat is just bad. Compounded with that is just how bland it is. It’s greasy and has little seasoning. The cilantro and onion are fresh which is a plus, but not enough to make up for the rest of this slop-fest. Not a lot of flavors here beside my lime, onion, and cilantro. Sad, really. I’ll be walking past this truck from now on. There’s another truck on the west corner of 28th and 6th ave I’ll be trying instead of going back to Atlixco.

Also tried after reading about it on …also because I needed to pull the trigger after passing by it every week on my way to k town. Good tacos, my favorite was pollo… only downside is that i didn’t get any cheese on any of my 3 tacos :(. Definitely satisfied my taco craving!

After reading about this taco truck on I had to come try it out. I went up to the window and ordered 3 tacos, a carnitas, chorizo, and a bistec. Communicating with the people in the truck could be a little bit of a hassle if you don’t speak spanish, which i dont. They don’t speak english to well, and i didn’t really know what they were asking so i just said yes to everything. While waiting for the tacos i saw about 8 other people come up and order, all hispanic. To me this was a great sign, you know you’re gonna get some authentic food when you’re the only person there not speaking the language. The food did take a little while to get, maybe 10 minutes. The 3 tacos and can of coke came out to $ 8.50. They were pretty basic tacos with meat, onions, and cilantro. They give you a sweet and a spicy sauce on the side. The first taco i tried was the carnitas which claimed was their best taco. I didn’t about the ingredients in the article, i just assumed it would be a pretty basic carnitas taco. I shouldve read more of the article because little did I know that this place puts pieces of pig ear on the cartilage in with the pieces of pork. It really grossed me out. They were easy enough to pick out, but it just kinda ruined the whole taco. Glad i got that out of the way first. I had the bistec next and they were very good, the meat was great. Last I had the chorizo, which was by far my favorite. It was pieces of chorizo breaded and fried, cooked in a sauce. The meat was so good. I used the sweet sauce on all of the tacos and really enjoyed it. The tacos here really remind me of the ones you get at Tehuitzingo Deli Grocery. They are just simple tacos that have a great taste.
