One of the worst laundry services I’ve ever used. The manager and man who answers the phone speaks NO english and is an IDIOT. My clothes came back still dirty and smelling something awful.
They refuse to give me a refund and don’t care when they lose customers.
DO NOT EVER USE THIS PLACE.

Not only did they ruin one of my shirts one week, but I stupidly didn’t listen to the reviews nor did I learn from this experience, and they ruined a $ 200 pair of jeans the following week!
The worst part– they refused to give me any sort of compensation, not even an apology, let alone an $ 11 refund! When I politely confronted them about the problem, they played stupid and muttered some unintelligible bs until I was so frustrated that I was shaking with anger and had no choice but to just leave. HORRIBLE «CLEANING» JOB AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Fellow Unilocalers, be warned! There is a reason why so many people give them one star.

Really chapped my rear on this one. I’ve been going here for over a year, paid my dues, and all of sudden went tumbling down hill.
I separate my laundry into two bags: *ok to dry & * hang dry. Easy enough? Im paying a high dime for this service, I think I should be able to make a common request.
Well until recently had one item destroyed that was put in the dryer after was specified as * hang dry, hence the separate bag. And so like a good customer I sucked it up and kept quiet. We’re human, we make mistakes, fair enough.
Happened the second time right after, a nice new top I just bought. Now I know the whole separating bag policy at this point is completely useless since they can’t follow the *ok to dry & *hang dry instructions as I’m now at 2 strikes.
So I went back and told the guy «my shirt was in the * hang dry bag, and it was put in the dryer. I can no longer wear it since its fit an 8-​yr old. Is there a way to get a refund?»
” No!“
And, had the nerve to tell me to separate my laundry right.
Thank you, I will now be taking my laundry elsewhere.

This is the worst cleaners place! They totally ruined my top and refused to pay for it!!! No one should ever use them.

The worst dry cleaner in NYC? Hard to say, but definitely a contender. The worst I’ve ever been to.
They ruined my clothes! Someone along the line must have thrown my large llama wool vest, the most luxurious, soft thing I’d ever felt, into the washer/​dryer. It came back shrunken and scratchy. There’s no possibility of real restitution here, you can’t undo such damage to fine wool, but they even refused to refund the money I paid for the privilege of letting them ruin my vest.
I talked to my neighbor about it. I found out he’d brought them his vintage German bomber jacket – and they lost the internal shoulder pads (and he’s really into his German/​Russian WWII stuff). He was furious. He and his wife now go to a seemingly wonderful place on Thompson St. When I find the name I’ll post it.
But MacDougal Cleaners? Avoid like the plague.

They’re friendly enough, the price is right and my clothes come back clean and in one piece. All you need from a cleaner!

I’ve decided to entrust all my laundry to them from now on as long as I still live in this area. The staff there are so kind and amiable. Their price is a little bit high but definitely acceptable given you live in the Greenwich village. Moreover, it is definitely worth the price! When I got my clothes back this afternoon, everything was folded clean and tidy and all of my white clothes were grouped together. Apparently when doing the laundry they separated them from colored ones to avoid staining. My only wish is that they could close at 7:30ish coz I arrive home at around 7:15pm on weekdays.
Some info about the price: 8lbs min for $ 10, $ 0.95 per pound additionally. Credit card acceptable for $ 30 or above.

These guys are awesome. Very friendly and reliable.

I take my laundry to them regularly and they’re fantastic. The same two guys are always there and are really sweet guys. It’s a little more expensive than some other places in the area (maybe $.95/​pound?) but it’s always done perfectly. Drop off before 10am and pick up after 4pm. And they always know my name when I come in. I’ve brought my dry cleaning to them also and it’s also always done very well and I can count on them both to do it right and one time they told me they wouldn’t take it because it would be ruined (which I protested failingly) and then when I took it somewhere else much cheaper a couple blocks away, it turned out that it was ruined.
