Ming’s Clean and Fresh

I’ve been using Ming’s drop off and pick up service for almost 4 months now. They are incredible! For Manhattan the price is absolutely unbeatable. They’re so professional and my laundry always comes back clean, dry and beautifully folded! I also use the dry cleaning service which has been just as fantastic. With brands like Hermes and Ralph Lauren it’s hard to trust others at times with your clothing but I 100% recommend Ming’s to anyone in the area looking for convenience, professionalism and a job well done.

So far I’ve had a good experience here. They pick up and deliver to the doorman in my building. They’re quick and efficient. I usually get my clothes back within 2 days even if I drop it off late evening. It’s under $ 2 to clean a button down shirt. I had them also fix a broken seam and they only charged me $ 5. I don’t have any super expensive clothes so cost and convenience is a major consideration.
Nothing ruined yet! Fingers crossed.

Comforters are 15 $ to clean. That’s crazy expensive
They are rude
They yell at you over the phone
Thy keep changing prices and charge a higher price if you pay with a credit card
Not recommended. Stay away from this place there is a cheaper place on second Ave with great service

We’ve been using this place for about a year. They’re pretty cheap for the area, although I do think we get over charged for the wash & fold laundry we send in sometimes.
I found out the hard way that you shouldn’t send them anything delicate or anything you love. They’ve shrank some clothes which I didn’t think could shrink and if something has a stain on it, it’s coming back with that stain unless you do some serious pretreating yourself.
I basically have one hamper that goes to them and another of clothes to wash myself when I get chance. Definitely don’t send bras, they get mangled in the dryer.
They’re not perfect but it saves me so much time and effort. You just need to keep in mind that everything you send in is being washed and dried on HOT, check the labels and don’t send anything that can’t handle that. Sticking with them until we find something better. Delivery guys are super friendly and always smiling.

This place is awesome.
I sent my laundry here for two years (and only stopped because I moved to Brooklyn). They do same day pick up/​delivery. Pretty affordable. No issues with lost clothes. Everything always comes back clean & folded. Really about as good as it gets with laundry service.

This is an update on my last review, downgrading 2 stars. They have consistently overcharged me $ 2 — 3 extra the last few times I’ve scheduled a pick up. Additionally, I have dermatitis and when I call for a pick up I specifically ask them to NOT ADD SOFTENER as it drives my skin crazy and I hate the smell. Just had laundry delivered and guess what? covered in softener. Great. Overcharged for laundry that I now have to rewash. I will also be filing a BBB complaint and following up with the city regarding the overcharges.

They’re great — can expedite return on dry cleaning for just a $ 1 – 3 more. They’re always on time and so far in the past year, they haven’t messed up any of my clothes or mixed them up/​lost them. The prices are very reasonable as well, so I’d recommend them to anyone within a 3 – 5 block radius.

I would give them 0 stars if I could! They RUINED a rag & bone satin blazer. They CUT OUT THE LINING and then lied and said they didn’t. The blazer was returned to me entirely puckered and when I called they knew exactly what I was calling about and told me it would come out when I wore it. The fabric was ruined, lining was cut out and they have yet to offer me anything! Needless to say I am taking them to small claims court.

It’s the best UES laundry delivery option… but still has it’s quirks. The prices are good, they fold everything nicely, and the delivery guys are friendly and punctual. They destroy laundry bags like it’s their job.

So far so good. Been having mings pick up our laundry every week since moving to manhattan a few months ago. I just leave my bags with doorman and call and they pick it up 20 min later. I get home from work 8 hrs later and its washed and folded waiting for me at the front door. Dru cleaning takes another 12 hrs which isn’t bad at all. $ 0.85 cents per lb. great deal. They have my card on file and auto charge it. Makes everything super easy. Don’t even have to think about it. Thats how laundry should be. Theyve never lost or ruined a single thing (knock on wood). Super easy people to deal with. Really happy with their service. Highly recommend mings.

I just love this place so much. They don’t charge for pick up and delivery. And they show up for pick up within 5 – 10 mins of calling them. They charge for next day laundry but you really don’t even have to request that because it’s ALWAYS ready the next day anyway! I was naughty and had 3!!! huge bags of laundry and it was ready for me before 12 the next day. The delivery guys are really nice and friendly too, they always smile and make light conversation.
I am very picky and I have never had an issue with my laundry. My whites are bright and everything smells good and I haven’t had any allergic reactions. They also match your socks for you which is nice and they group things together. All my workout items are usually together, towels together etc.
I’ve used them at least 20 times and have yet to complain.
For .65/​lb this place is a gem!

I absolutely never write reviews but I feel you all must be warned. My fiancée and I moved to the area about 2 months ago and shopped around a bunch of different dry cleaners to find somewhere reliable to get our cleaning done. Mings, being so close to our new apartment, was fine at first (when given basic shirts and some sweaters). However, my fiancée recently had them dry clean a wool suit — seemingly standard for a dry cleaning service, no? Well, they WASHED his wool suit pants, shrinking them 3 sizes and completely ruining the fabric of the pants. When he brought them back into the store, all the employees agreed that a mistake had been made. They would have to consult with the owner on how to properly repay him for his $ 250 j crew suit pants. After DAYS of back and forth with the owner, he would only agree to pay him $ 80 for the pants, which is LESS THAN HALF of the price of the pants. After arguing profusely my fiancée finally relented and went to pick up his check for $ 80 and the pants that the owner had taken to «inspect.» Once there, the employees told him that they did not have the pants. After yet another argument, they finally went to the back and got him the pants that were there the entire time only to tell him that they would not give him the RUINED pants AND check because they were afraid he would sue. He finally convinced them to give him both and after MANY hours of arguing to not even be fully reimbursed, left. BE WARNED. These guys are crooks!!! There are many other dry cleaners in the area that you can use. Don’t risk your time, clothes and money with Ming’s.

The worst stay away at all cost… they will destroy your clothes and do not care at all. They will not pay you back and will never even let the owner talk to you after the outsourcer admitted to destroying your clothes. THE WORST!!! Stay Away!!!

Girlfriend and I used them without issue for the past year. For the past month or so they’ve had absolutely terrible service. They punched a hole through a suit and destroyed a bunch of my girlfriend’s clothes. Needless to say we’re in the market for a new place. We’ve also come across the terrible attitude from the two women there, regardless of the issue. I’m not sure if the owner left the business, but really a shame that it’s gone so far downhill.

Delivery is quick but the quality has gone downhill, ruined some dry cleaning items and laundry doesn’t seem as clean.

I used this service for over a year and recently they have been awful. Destroying clothing and giving me attitude when I complained. Did not offer to replace anything or even discount the service. Terrible customer service. I specifically mark my laundry and they ignore everything. The owner told me he «doesn’t care». They destroyed about 6 items from Lululemon totaling in close to $ 600. They are mean and don’t give a rats a** about their clients. STAY AWAY. Trust me. When my boyfriend went to confront the owner, there was a woman ahead of him with an armful of clothing covered in bleach and paint stains. She told the owner to take her info out of the system as did my bf and we will never use them again. This is not UES service. We always tipped the delivery guys 30−40%. B. S

I didn’t think it would be that difficult to find a reliable laundry service in my new neighborhood, given that I seem to see them everywhere but there is a massive difference between the quality, price and level of service offered.
That’s why I am so glad I found Ming’s — free and punctual pickup/​delivery (always 10 – 20 minutes from the call, or they will let you know if they are going to be a bit late), open on Sundays, VERY reasonably priced. Could not ask for anything more!

I found this place a week or two after I moved into my apartment 2 years ago. They pick up, they drop off and they hardly ever close, sometimes I think they should take a break and relax. Fast and reliable service for laundry and dry cleaning. Highly recommend if you live in the area.

I used their wash and fold service right before I was moving out of state. The pickup and delivery was fine. My clothes, however, were not.
I didn’t open my bag until I after had moved and found that my 3 favorite bras had been ruined… I don’t know what they did, but I had to throw all 3 of them away as they couldn’t be worn.

Price: How can anyone beat 65 cents per lb in this area for wash-​and-​fold? Minimum charge is $ 5 or $ 7, depending on how much they like you. For dry cleaning, I got a pair of work pants for me was $ 4.25.
Service and quality: It’s solid.
My pants had spots that didn’t come off after the first round of dry cleaning (they told me when I went to pick it up), looked like some tiny permanent paint marks. They cleaned it again with no additional charge. I appreciated that commitment (the spots eventually came off). I would have given them 5 stars if they’d called to tell me so I didn’t have to make the extra trip.
They also washed my sleeping bag as part of the wash-​and-​fold, which was nice of them (instead of charging the ‘blanket’ equivalent price).
