I adopted my beagle– plotthound– (terrier?) mix @ 11 months old from Muddy Paws a few weeks ago.
She has a face to die for, personality of wonder and confidence, smart, and big voice!
My first adopted dog as I have gone the breeder route.
WOW! She is a catch. Thanks Muddy Paws for making it easy. Her foster mom worked at Camp Canine which was a great place to meet and get to know her. The process was seamless and quick.

Thank you Rachel, and everyone at Muddy Paws Rescue, for the wonderful work that you do! We appreciated the fact that Rachel contacted us within 24hrs after we applied for adoption and it was a thorough, albeit painless, process. We absolutely adore our Lab/​Belgian Malinois pup Liv! She is so sweet, playful, intelligent and such a super love bug. We knew that she was the one as soon as we locked eyes. It has only been a week since Liv came to live with us and we can’t say enough about how thankful we are to have found her, she’s been such a joy!

I can’t recommend Muddy Paws enough. Unlike a lot of the other shelters I tried to go through, MPR quickly responded to my inquiries, and limited the red tape one has to go through during the adoption process. Additionally all of my dogs records were shared digitally, which is really awesome. The level of effort these guys put into getting their animals a home really shows; organizations like this are truly special.

Wow, what a refreshing rescue organization! I adopted my perfect 1-​year mix dog through MuddyPaws a little more than a week ago. Rachel from Muddy Paws reached out to me within 24 hours after I submitted my adoption app. She put me in direct touch with the foster so that I could get more information on the dog’s behavior and health. All went smoothly with the adoption, and I felt like fees are on par with other rescue orgs.
Finally, Rachel went the extra mile when my doggy’s kennel cough worsened after I got him home. She talked me through his care and offered to cover stronger antibiotics, which healed him right up.
After all the frustration of filling out apps and never hearing back from other rescues, I fell in love with Muddy Paws’ efficient and transparent process. Rachel and her staff really seem to care about getting their animals placed into good homes quickly and with a personal touch.
Keep up the good work, MuddyPaws!

We were Muddy Paws first official adoption! We are so happy to have the honor! Muddy Paws and Rachael are amazing, hardworking and dedicated! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Muddy Paws Rescue and Rachael! I have worked with several different rescue organizations in NYC, and I can say hands down that Rachael and MPR have been the best. I have been fostering and volunteering with Rachael for six months now (both at a previous rescue and
now with her newly founded group, Muddy Paws Rescue) and she has been absolutely amazing in terms of answering my questions and always getting back to me quickly. I’ve been working with Rachael, the founder of Muddy Paws, for the past year through a different rescue group and she has been amazing to work with. She’s always very supportive of me as a foster parent and extremely pleasant to work with. I never feel like I’m on my own because Rachael’s always there to answer any questions I may have!
