Nordic Cleaners

I come here frequently to get my dress shirts laundered because I work on Wall Street which requires I wear baller threads on a daily basis.
Recently, I haven’t been coming as often because I’ve noticed my shirts have looked more worn out.
I gave them one of my favorite shirts which was definitely older and worn, but nowhere near vagabond status. When I got my shirt back, there was a hole on the left elbow. They claimed that it wasn’t their fault and said that the shirt got a hole torn because it was old — if that’s true, why isn’t there a hole on the right elbow? I don’t even lean on my left elbow!!!

If you get in your laundry by 9:30am, you can get it all back washed and folded by end of day. This spot boasts its organic, safe, and thorough process. It looks like dry cleaning might be offsite, but that’s ok. I’ve had only consistent, positive experiences here with wash and fold.

I’ve been coming here for years and now that I moved still come back. I’ve taken everything there over the years and had lots of tailoring done. Maybe a bit expensive but they consistently do a good job so I’m willing to pay a bit extra to not worry about it.

I have been using this place for years now! I love them so much that when I moved to a new apartment I still kept coming back to them regardless of the fact that we had a dry cleaner next door to my new place! I have had countless dry cleaning and alterations done with them and have never had a problem. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful and I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for excellent service at reasonable prices.

I have been using these cleaners for a while and they have been ok in the past. However I recently had dry cleaning returned to me from them in which a Tahari skirt had a hole in a conspicuous place. In addition, the internal labels were torn (less important of course). I went back to the store with the skirt expecting them to repair it but they denied having caused it. I also pointed out the torn labels. They said the skirt was old (which it most certainly was not, and had only been worn once) and would not take any responsibility for the damage. I asked to speak to the owner who, in a condescending way said that dry cleaning does not cause holes. Not only did they insult my skirt but would not mend it. This has happened before with a beautiful white summer sweater in which one of the sleeves was shredded at the cuff. They told me the same thing at that time, and since the sweater had been worn a lot I did not protest at that time. Now it’s time to find a better cleaning business.

I’ve been going to these cleaners for years even though I no longer live close by. After moving away I tried different cleaners and could never find one as good as these guys. One of the other cleaners lost my clothes several times (I think they were stealing them), another cleaners would use harsh chemicals and change the color of my clothes/​linens several times and was never apologetic for it, and another completely ruined my leather jacket and took no responsibility for it.
After all these mishaps I decided it was worth going to one that is reliable, friendly, and efficient. The owners are super nice, do a great job, and have prices that are reasonable for the quality of service they provide. What more can you ask for?

Not sure about the previous experience reviewed on here but I have never had a problem with Nordic, including tailoring. Yes, if you’re looking to have some complicated act performed with a precious material maybe this is not your place but for simple hems and take-​ins they do a great job at a reasonable price.
Also, I haven’t experienced any problems with the dry cleaning services either. They have good turn around, are friendly, and will deliver!

These are bad business people. we have had problems with them, but finally the straw that broke the camel’s back was when our wash & fold came back all bleached out. They refused to admit that they had any responsibility and denied using bleach. Impossible. They even yelled at us in the store for having a complaint. There are many other cleaners in the neighborhood. We’ll find a better one, thank you.
