Peace Core

I saw the deal on Groupon and am now hooked. Kenny is great at what he does. He is encouraging and pushes you without making you feel inept. The exercises are always different, always difficult and have influenced my workout in the gym greatly. I played tennis, football and volleyball for my college and have never had such a concise and efficient workout. I am routinely one of the slower ones but my workout is just as intense as the fastest folks so I know the classes are good for a wide range of people.
My disclaimer is that I started really watching my diet and alcohol intake, but when I started the classes I weighed 220+ and I am now hovering around 200. 2 – 3 classes a week for even 2 – 3 weeks and you will see and feel the difference. To get such an intense workout in a short time is really a bonus. Who has time for 3 hours in the gym to NOT be as effective?
The best part of the classes are the fact that there is no ego. Everyone is there to try their best and sweat their brains out.
My only wish is that I discovered Kenny years ago. If you are thinking about signing up, do it. You’ll be happy you did.

I came across Peace Core on GroupOn and it was so cheap I figured why not… The other descriptions are true, I’m a pretty fit guy (having grown up with martial arts and switching to high level competitive basketball) and I’m struggling not to throw up at points during the training. It’s a great workout regardless of your fitness level as your really just working against your body so you get out what you put in. Kenny is very positive and encouraging and helps you push through your mental blocks to push yourself far harder than you push yourself.
He remembered my name right from the first training and is always very friendly and welcoming. Be warned, classes start on time so try and get there a few minutes early.
Def recommend it for any fitness level, just be prepared to haul a** and be sore the next day.

I found Peace Core through a life booker deal and boy was this a deal and a blessing. This is a high-​intensity work out (military-​style boot camp) leaves you wanting it to end yet at the same time wanting more, it’s truly a bizarre combination but in an excellent way. The best part is being outdoors and on the highline.
The session is in two parts: begins in the studio and the second part is outdoors and on the highline. It’s a super hard workout but it give results and everyone at any fitness level can do it based on their own abilities.
Value: EXCELLENT
Facilities: Great location, the studio is small but perfect for the small group sessions. Extremely clean and everything always looked polished. Equipment was new and in great condition.

This workout is very intense. I went for the first time yesterday on a lifebooker deal and I thought I was going to die. It’s a great way to shake the body up and the highline is gorgeous. I would go back again for sure, but I have to modify alot of the exercises. I am not the most athletic person, but it’s fun and new so I’ll keep trying it.

If you’re looking for a challenge, then Peace Core is where it’s at. I signed up for a few sessions through Gilt and was hooked, so here we are almost a year later and I am still working out with Kenny (you definitely get your money’s worth with him!). Working out on the High Line was definitely a big draw for me (makes it easy to forget the pain you’re in!).

I bought a voucher for 5 boot camp classes at Peace Core. The first few classes were good but 2 times I showed up for class and the instructor/​owner was not there.
In order to sign up for the class you need to text the owner (Kenny) before 1pm the day of the class. Both times I did so & received a confirmation back from him.
This clearly means that if he had to cancel he could have texted me (and the other people in the class) and inform us that there was an emergency and there would be no class.
Unfortunately that did not have and twice I’ve shown up and no one is there. This wastes my time. This is time that I could have used to go to another class or I could have opted to stay at work or do any other number of things instead of standing outside a building waiting for a
class that wouldn’t happen. I find this type of behavior from a business
completely unacceptable.
I value my time and don’t appreciate it being wasted like this.

I saw Peace Core on Lifebooker Loot and bought the unlimited month long pass for $ 59. I thought it was a great deal and the place gets good Unilocal reviews, so I figured it must be good. I was right — it is. It’s amazing. Kenny is tough, but cheers everyone along every step of the way. He’s great at keeping everyone going at their own pace. It’s not the sort of experience that you enjoy, say, while you’re doing it, but you know why you’re there — to get your ass kicked and a better looking body.
I went to my first class last night. I can definitely tell that walking is going to get increasingly more difficult as the day goes on — I am very sore from all the running. No pain, no gain though. My plan is to let the soreness go away and then go back either tomorrow or Friday, depending on how my muscles feel.
Peace Core is located just a few steps from the highline and so the majority of the class takes place there. It was great to be outside last night and dodging tourists as you run around is rather fun. Sore as I am, I am excited to go back. I even bought another unlimited month long pass from lifebooker so now I’ve got 2 months. I’m excited to see what sort of results I’ll end up with. I know that I will definitely be in much better shape than I’m in now in a few weeks if I keep this up.
Go. Give it a try. It’s a great, fun workout. Kenny rocks. Plus, after a few weeks of going, you’ll probably start to look and feel like a physical fitness rockstar, and that’s always a good thing.

What can I say? I am not exactly the most efficient workout person. I go to gym religiously but I don’t workout as hard as some ex-​Marine could push me. Plus, as a Unilocal Elite, I love to eat! So, Boot camp seems like a natural solution right? Right!
I got the amazing deal from Lifebooker for 3 classes for $ 25 and it was such a great deal I got 2 packs of them. I just went to my first class and my arms are slightly trembling as I type! There aren’t a lot of equipment involved. It is basically using your own body weight to work against you. It is very similar to Kung Fu, which I like LOL
So I don’t really remember the drills but the gist is there are a lot of running, intervals, pushups, lunges, squats, etc. I think at one point while I was on High Line, I thought I was going to pass out. Guess what, I didn’t! I felt better and better after I survived the lowest point.
Now I am a regular as you can see! It gets better everytime :)

I’ve been going to Peace Core for over a year now and I must say I have never look this good and I am in the best shape of my life. Fitcamp is the best workout I’ve ever done. I’ve been going to the gym for ages and Kenny’s bootcamp classes made me into Superwoman in just a few weeks. When I first started Fitcamp, I couldn’t do pushups and I also had a difficult time running. But now I am stronger and I have more endurance. Also, I can eat anything I want and still lose weight from doing Fitcamp. If you go 2x or 3x a week, you will lose weight and gain definition. Kenny’s classes are different each time you go. Anyone can join from novice to advanced. I highly recommend Kenny Wong as your personal trainer and Peace Core is the best location to train.

I train both semi-​privately with Kenny and at his fit camp and I can’t say enough good things. Instead of yelling at you to keep going because he says so, he makes you not want to give up so you push yourself. His workouts are different each time and at the end you feel exhausted but accomplished. You work at your own pace and get stronger and faster each time. I have trained with a lot of instructors, but Kenny Wong is awesome. I would recommend him to anyone, beginner to the most experienced.

If you want a good workout — this is the place to go! Kenny Wong who is the instructor/​trainer is great — his workout regimen is one that uses your own body so it really tones you up nicely.
I originally bought some sessions through Lifebooker and when I was done, I was kinda hooked! It’s a love/​hate relationship — I loved it so much that I bought more sessions through Kenny.
Most of the workout is at the Highline — couldnt ask for a better location to do an outdoor boot camp class. Love it!
