This is one of my favorite places to go in the summer time. It’s a beautiful view (minus seeing Jersey) and there are always friendly people around.
It’s great if you want to have a picnic or as some do, catch a tan. Also there is a bathroom near by if you need one.

Pier 46 is the next best thing to Pier 25 which is of course the best Pier of them all! All of the Piers off of the West Side Highway are beautiful getaways from the hustle and bustle of the NYC streets. Theres not much on this Pier except for the grass turf and a café but its a beautiful place to run, exercise or just sit and watch the boats go by.
Just a tip: If your looking for more action I’d suggest going to Pier 25 where they have mini golf, volleyball, Grand Banks Sailboat/​Restaurant, Café and soccer turf.
