Proven Data Recovery

On August 2004 I took many photographs of our celebrating our 20^th anniversary in Honolulu. The pictures were lost in a electronically dead SD card. I tried different expensive recovery software programs & out of the country specialists who were unsuccessful. But I kept the SD card believing that better technology would develop and it did. Found this NYC based company this summer that got our 229 pics back. Took about 2 plus months, but they did it!!! Here’s a few of the pictures.

When an improper camera shutdown caused my memory card to delete over 7,000 photos — nearly every digital memory of my 1 year old’s life, I was completely devastated. After calling PDR and rushing the memory card to their midtown location, I was thrilled to learn just a day later that all my photos could be recovered! I can’t thank this company enough for what they saved.

5 stars! The owners of the business are very committed to what they do — and will not be satisfied unless their customers are satisfied! Their knowledge on their products go above and beyond, and I would recommend them over any chain computer repair company. After reading all of the reviews below, I realized that they do this will all of their customers– which is even more special!

It’s hard to rely on the opinion of someone who stupidly did not back up their data. However, this service is very god d just a little pricey. When i said I couldn’t proceed based on the initial estimate, the y did work with me and were very helpful.

Recently utilized their services to get a damaged external hard drive recovered. My organizations IT department failed to do it but, these guys recovered my files a 100%. A bit pricier Than I initially thought, yet the data was invaluable to me, so I’m still content with their work.

Mark was fantastic to deal with! After bringing my laptop to the GeekSquad at BestBuy and wasting my money and time, I called a few data recovery places and decided to go with these guys because they were the nicest on the phone and didn’t sound like they were going to rip me off.
I was right! Not only did they recover all of my info from a hard drive that the GeekSqaud made worse by running too much, but they delivered the items I needed in less than 48 hours in order to file my taxes and not miss the deadline, without charging me an additional rush rate! I lost most of my small business and animal welfare nonprofit’s finical history and was freaking out. They literally, saved my butt! Definitely use them!

If you’re reading this review, you’ve probably had a devastating hard drive failure. For me, it was the 4tb video backup drive that was unfortunately manufactured in the Raid O configuration. When the drive failed, I spoke to many people about the nature of the problem, and frankly very few sounded like they had any idea what I was talking about. Then I called Proven Data Recovery. Mark convinced me in 5 minutes that he completely understood the problem. I dropped the drive off the next day, and a few days later they let me know that had been able to recover everything, and I was given a code to be able to remotely access the drive to see that everything was indeed there! The cost, while certainly not cheap, was the cheapest I was quoted, and worth every penny to have my Irreplaceable files back!

I submitted my hard drives, a RAID, that was being used as a shared server at our small office. The hard drives weren’t being recognized by our computers. There didn’t seem to be any physical damage, but we weren’t sure. In the end, PDR NYC quickly recovered all the data and placed it in a brand new hard drive and delivered it to our office. I’m satisfied with the service.

These guys were great! I work for a major news network, and we needed a lawyer’s files recovered for a story we were working on. Well, the lawyer’s case was from the early nineties and only an old 32-​bit Windows system could recover it. Well not only did Proven Data Recover retrieve the data, they gave it to us in a very quick fashion. great work everyone!

Had a 1TB NAS drive that failed. After an exhaustive search and looking through countless Unilocal reviews I decided to go with Proven Data Recovery. With all the horror stories out there I was apprehensive to say the least.
I started by emailing them which created an online case that I could track. It was convenient for me that I could drop the drive off at their office in midtown Manhattan. The case said I would get an update 2 – 3 business days so after not receiving one on the 4^th day I started to wonder. Later in the day it arrived. $ 2477! I fell out of the chair. I didn’t think the drive had a catastrophic failure that needed rebuilding that would drive the price up that high. Since I needed the data I decided to proceed. I called the tech to see why it was so expensive. He responded that the amount of time to resolve the issues and the size of the drive contributes to the cost. After a week I received news that they recovered 100% of the data, so that was good news.
After verifying the data recovered I received an invoice. Surprising they charge 3% for using a credit card, $ 15 to get your original drive back. So I used a check and asked for the $ 15 to be waived since I would be picking up the drives in person, which they agreed to.
Arriving at the office to pick it up I noticed a beat up box with random bubble wrap with my drive, power cable and new drive. At that price point I really would have expected a cleaner presentation that that.
All in all a good service, professional phone service and they did get all my data back. With a little bit of polishing up this could be a 4 star review.
