Hmm… I think many reviews here are fake, from employees, owners and friends. I live very close to this store, but haven’t tried them until last night; 1÷27÷2016. There were 2 workers that I saw and 1 delivery person(all male). The man that took my order(with the large arm muscles) was not friendly. I see him there most nights as I walk by, so I imagine he is the owner or manager. He doesn’t understand how friendly customer service can win over customers just as much as good food/portions/quality. It’s not difficult, nor costly to welcome customers with a smile and a hello. I got neither. He started with, «ready to order»?, while looking down at the register. He rang me up, gave me change and walked away. No other dialog. Not even a «thank you». The younger man that made my salad was very nice. He made my order quickly and with care. The salad was truly amazing in presentation and taste, but what won me over was his attitude. Much warmer(with eye contact and a smile) than the aloof manager. Even the delivery man held the door for me, thanks! Listen, the food is good and convenient, but if this man stays sour, I will go elsewhere. Please don’t tell me he had a long or difficult day, the other 2 workers were pleasant and so should he.

I have never felt compelled to trash a restaurant online before but this place is ridiculous. I left very clear instructions on my order about what cannot be put in my food. I have serious allergies. I was completely ignored and then charged for the replacement food. The replacement food still had all the things I can’t eat! Even after talking to them on the phone. They just don’t care. I don’t know what kind of game they think they’re playing but they’re going to send an unsuspecting person to the hospital. I hope they enjoy being sued because that is where this kind of behavior leads.

I was trying to order, when the girl that had picked up the phone put me on hold. They had me waiting 13 minutes over the phone. I can hear them taking orders and talking among themselves… then they hanged up on me. I called back to tell them that I was trying to order and the lady was rude. Never again.

For the price, this is the best food in Inwood. The salads are amazing and cheap. The empenadas are better than I expected, baked not fried which I really appreciate. The juice bar is awesome. The wraps are great. The people are super friendly. Good luck finding better, healthier food in the area.

Edit: I wrote this review for the location on 183rd St. Nicholas, not in Inwood. Sorry! Quick Fresh showed up on my Seamless a few weeks ago, touting itself as a healthy restaurant. Since it was cheap, I thought to myself, why not? I ordered a veggie empanada and a «perfect figure liquid remedy.» The empanada was UGH. The crust was too oily and yet super dry — it tasted what I would imagine a book covered in oil would taste like. The filling was fine but I really couldn’t tell you what vegetables or cheese I was consuming. I want to say spinach and feta but I feel like that’s shooting a bit beyond what I can reasonably expect from a cheap empanada. The juice was the real kicker though. After I placed my order, the restaurant called me ASKINGWHATWASINTHEJUICE. I for sure thought I was being punked. Guys, it’s your menu? While on the phone I actually had to tab over into Seamless and READTHEMENUTOHER. DIDTHEYHAVENOMENUSANDNOINTERNET? WHATTHEFUCK I CAN’T EVEN. Surely that all had to have been a joke. Worse, the juice was disgusting. It has celery, tomato, cucumber, and honey, and they pretty much put all of it into a blender(not a juicer) and then sludged it into a cup. I essentially received a bland vegetable purée. By the time I got it it had all separated out, with water on the bottom and vegetable phlegm with seeds on the top. No amount of stirring mitigated the sludge factor, and it tasted too watery to be appetizing enough to drink with my eyes closed. I thought the failed make-your-own sandwich debacle at Fresh Express was my worst restaurant experience in the Heights; no, this tops it.

There’s not a ton of healthy/raw food in this area so I was really happy to find Quick Fresh. Their salad bar had good topping options, including all the usuals, plus tofu. I didn’t see«fancy» items like sun dried tomatoes or kalamata olives, but they had regular olives, various beans, veggies, and beets. Service was also friendly. One of the girls helping me was a little confused when we spoke in English(although very willing to listen and try to understand) but I just switched to Spanish to make her more comfortable.

Listen, I’m surprised this place isn’t more reviewed. I live on 145th street and have often times made the trip on the A-train just for this place. I love the staff — they are all friendly and helpful and cheerful about their work. The salads are excellent. I agree with the gentleman who wrote about the empanadas that aren’t good. I’d say they’re not great. Something about them seems over-processed and tough. Still, oddly, I grab myself a cheese one every time I go in; what can I say. I have eaten more salads from this place than any other place in NYC. And I eat a TON of salads. At least one big one a day, sometimes two.
