Unfortunately this place closed. Too bad… was a good addition to the neighborhood. Had some great food.

Shirmp scampi absolutely delicious! Gratuity including whether two people or more. The location is bad idea. Busy avenue should on broadway. Other hand warm and cozy.

Just had fantastic Beet salad with goat cheese and a coffee to die for. Some of the best food I had near 9⁄11 memorial and I had a few. Nice to be served on white linen in a neighborhood restaurant. Highly recommended

THISPLACEWAS A COMPLETEJOKE. Not only did they have 3 appetizers on the menu not available to order but the waiter happily told us that one of the appetizers he did not recommend because other customers were complaining about how poor it was. To top it all off, the bread was hard as a rock and the the staff was slow and unorganized. The food is way overpriced and overall the place sucked and should not even be allowed to serve food. The owner of the restaurant was a complete scumbag after complaining to him about the service and the food. Personally we had no intentions of not paying for the meal but when we talked to the owner, the asshole responded to us that«we were certainly paying for the meal». I live across the street and have ordered from here about 15 times. And the 15th was my last. The food is really good. That’s what kept me into it. It’s extremely over-priced, but if the food is good it’s worth it. And here’s the clincher. About 6 weeks ago, I ordered dinner for delivery. An hour later, I got an email that said the restaurant was closed and had canceled my order. Of course, I was aggravated by that. But I shrugged it off. Once, I can forgive. But not twice. Ordered again last Wednesday night — at about 7:15. At around 8:15, I got a call from Seamless to let me know Regis had pulled their crap again: sorry! the restaurant is closed; we’ve canceled your order. YOU’VEGOTTOBEKIDDINGME?! I’ll never order from them again. Only a$$holes do stuff like that. Later!

Don’t try to eat here for lunch! Terrible Service! I pass by this restaurant every day and today, since it was rainy and I couldn’t eat outside, decided to sit at the bar and order a proper hot meal in a quiet empty spot. At about 12:15 I ordered an individual margharita pie. At 12:35 when my lunch hadn’t arrived I asked the server. She said it would be one more minute that she just checked on it. Meanwhile, as I wait, the owner sits down three bar stools away and proceeds to scold the staff in front of me forcing me to use my headphones to enjoy some peace. 12:40 rolls around. No Food. At 12:50 when I finally said I had to leave of course, the pizza arrives. 45 minutes after ordering it! A pizza of this style should take, what? 5 – 6 minutes to cook? They apologized, I left hungry, and the owner had more to yell at his staff about. At least they didn’t make me pay for the coffee I had, but come on! What restaurant in lower manhattan can’t get food out in under 30 minutes? Ridiculous. Never going back.

When we sat down, we knew it might not go completely smooth — there were 9 of us & we had 4 different menus. Waitress tried to figure out which ones were the right ones, finally said they all were… sorry we’ve just reopened recently… There were only a couple of other folks in the place but we did sit down quickly(remember 9). Problem was it took 45 min — 1 hour to get our food. We were the first in, last out of 3 other tables. But we did all get our orders correctly at it was all hot, and cooked well. Food was slightly better than what I was expecting for the price; nothing very good, nothing prepared poorly. Portions were ample for the price. After a day out, I wanted a shot of whiskey; bar selection was 3 different ones — not too good.

Deliiiiiiisssshhhhh! Perfect place to go on a date to get some good food and wine! It’s not cheap but it has a good atmosphere. If you go early enough it’s pretty quiet but after hours it morphs more into a bar scene. I can’t wait for it to open back — it’s currently closed due to the storm :(

Food below average. Service was good. Caesar salad was bland. Pasta was okay. Coffee was not fresh and cold. They made a fresh pot when we asked but didn’t seem to care.

The atmosphere at this place is nice, with very high ceilings, nice décor, and good service. The free bread is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. I had a carnivale pizza that had a little too much meat for my taste, but was good and only cost $ 15. The pasta one of my companions had looked very good, and he said it was delicious. The chicken picata the other person I was with had looked ok, but I think the pasta or pizza would have been better choices. I was a little leery when the Marriott concierge was so quick to send us here, but if you are in this part of town and want a pretty good meal at a very good price this is a good bet.

Been living in fidi over 7 years, as u all may know. There’s only a handful of stellar restaurants down here that can give u an orgasmic explosion in ur mouth. this place is not it! absolutely dirty & if u want food poisoning. Terrible, tasteless and disgusting. Try blue planet grill beef stroganoff, mushroom, or French onion soup. Ah that’s a success story 4 new rest. Here in fidi!

I usually don’t write about the atmosphere of a place… but when it becomes the defining negative aspect of a restaurant I have to mention it. It’s like a night club and a wanna be upscale italian restaurant had a baby and called it Regis Royal! It was 8pm on a wednesday and they had Eminem turned up so loud that I couldnt hear the waiter ask were i would like to sit. The service after that was spotty. The Bucatinni was actually pretty good. Kind of a small portion for italian, but good all the same. But then again, how does anyone mess up Veal, red sauce and spaghetti. Would not go back. Go to Les Halles if your looking for upscale in Downtown.

Good atmosphere! Great Italian food. Expensive for what we got. It’s been 2 months since i was here, and I can’t really remember much about the food from my notes, so it clearly didn’t have too much that left an impression!

When on a recommendation from the Hotel concierge and it turned out better than expected. The bread was deliciously home made, as the main dish I had Talapia topped with wine sauce and vegetable it was cooked perfectly. They also have a great selection of wine and desert. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a nice spot to get a good pizza. I went here twice while in NYC as it was close to our hotel. The staff was very attentive both times and very friendly. They were not very busy either time as we did not go during prime restaurant times. The first time the pizza was much better than the second. We had the margherita pizza. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the chef had a delicate hand. The sauce was slightly sweet and the mozzarella divine. A very simplistic delicious meal. The second time we went there we had the carnivale pizza. It did not have the same amazing sauce on it actually no red-sauce at all and was salty. Although I was expecting it to be salty due to the prosciutto it was overly so and because I had enjoyed the margherita pizza so much I must say I was very disappointed. The beer selection is very small but the waitress recommended a german lager that was very good. They did have a specialty cocktail menu and my husband said the whiskey and coke had a good pour on it. My mother-in-law had a margarita and she said it was good but did not taste like a margarita more like a lemon lime cocktail. The bathroom was very clean. I would say the décor is very upscale but we felt comfortable in t-shirts and jeans. I might return to the Regis Royal but not a must see, if I did go back it would be for the margherita pizza.

As might be expected in the Financial District, when we visited on a Sunday, there were no other customers in the restaurant. I hope they’re getting the business-meeting crowd they seem to be aiming for on the weekdays! The first thing we noticed is that, regardless of signage, this restaurant is actually Croatian, not Italian. No problem there, I had a lot of delicious food in Croatia!(And admittedly, the cuisine is awfully similar to that in Italy). There were a lot of staff on duty. The dining area is airy and modern. We started with the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious, but a rather small portion for the menu price. They didn’t have any cavatelli, so they asked if they could substitute penne for the bolognese. The dish ended up being all right, but rather uninspiring. I got the chicken fettuccine, which I actually liked rather a lot. Plenty of chunks of chicken, a lot of roasted garlic, spinach, sundried tomatoes, chopped stringbeans, and a light white wine sauce. No iced coffee was available, and a glass of coke was $ 3.50, which I think is pretty overpriced. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, but not an amazing one.

A relative diamond in the local rough for late night! Finding this place after arriving late on a Friday from DC was a blessing. After walking around for about 30min and looking at available reviews for the general location near our hotel we concluded there really just isn’t much in the FiDi neighborhood for choices after 9pm. Similar to McPherson Square area in DC, this sector is mostly geared toward lunch crowds, and is vacant at night also due to the construction going on(Ground Zero, etc.). After deciding not to go to the nearby Palm, which was closing for the evening, we stumbled upon Regis Royal … The owner, who greeted the arriving guests at the foyer, was genuinely enthusiastic in his welcome. He showed us to a great table where we were immediately received by the server — a very personable young lady who was energetic despite the lacking of diners that time of the night. The food was above-average overall — used quality products and stuck to familiar Italian dishes, but each with a little fusion to give it their own signature. The value of the meal was extremely high given the final total, that include wine and beer(the selection of both I thought was adequate), was just under $ 100. We will return if we happen to be in the area again at that time of night!

nice bright addition to the neighborhood — near BPC. what took so long to open? Also, the name does not sound like an Italian restuarant. Just my opinion

I recently visited this restaurant with my coworkers for lunch and was pleased to find out that we were going to receive 15% discount because we worked in the area. The service was fast and the waitress was very pleasant and friendly. We all enjoyed our food but none of us thought the food was overly amazing.
