Relax Spa

I fear a personal vendetta, BUT, the truth should be told and this place is a NIGHTMARE in virtually every respect.
The five star reviews are comical and are clearly fake. I guess that’s why Unilocal filtered them. I wonder if mine will be allowed to remain.
As far as I know, REQUIRING. A minimum tip is illegal and not actually a tip but a fee, and should be listed as such.
If those «massage therapists» are licensed, I’m the Queen of England.
The pictures in the ads look nice, but I most certainly never saw any of those pretty young «massage therapists» when I was there.
As any Upper Manhattan resident knows, there are practically no spas uptown. If this was even halfway decent I’d go once a week. I am pretty easy to please.
If you live uptown and want a good massage in a pleasant environment, you are infinitely better off just accepting that you’re a train ride away and head downtown to one of several hundred inexpensive but perfectly decent alternatives.

The woman who massaged me had great hands… after many bad massages i finally found a place that does a good job. I enjoyed my massage a lot. The 2 things that put me off a little was the building that the spa is located in smells like cat pee. Also, I asked for change for a 10 so I could give 25 for tip and the ladies looked at me like i was nuts, like they thoght I wasn’t going to leave a good tip so they didn’t want to give a good tip. One other little thing is it states that a minimum 20 dollar tip is required for 1 hour services, which I htought was a little strange of them to post on every wall. Despite these little issues I will probably go back

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Sue… she was the nastiest person I’ve ever dealt with… and it was unwarranted and unnecessary. Screaming like a banshee at a person who asks a legitimate question is NEVER ok. Disgusting!
