Royal Pet Care

Lately this place has been a disaster zone with aisles blocked with product stacked on the floors and not the shelves. Whoever is working behind the counter obviously has a lot on their hands with the disarray and dealing with customers. I have really liked this spot over the years but lately I’m not sure what has happened. Seems understaffed having a single person trying to ring us up and nobody to stock or help customers while that happens. The staff no longer seems helpful but exhausted. I would like to continue my shopping and referring here, but not if the owner doesn’t start staffing and stocking properly.

It’s 10:15am and the store’s metal roll gate is still down. Someone slept in today, and I can’t get my dog’s food. I’d be more generous with my review, except this is so not the first time this has happened.
This store has good product selection, but it’s the human component that is seriously flawed, including the dog-​walking service. Not reliable, which is sad because this place could’ve been a real go-​to spot in the neighborhood.

I can’t stand writing bad reviews, but this one has to be written. Seems like this place is good for products and so forth, but I would warn anyone from letting them take care of their dog with walking or boarding. My wife and I made an appointment to meet with someone named David last week Weds, on 12/​3, to be our new babysitter/​walker for our new puppy. We agreed to meet him at the store at 6:30pm. He jotted down all of my contact information (or so it seemed).
You can imagine our shock upon arriving at the store to find out that David was no where near the store. The other shopkeeper told us David was out making deliveries. He tried calling David to no avail and then told us David wouldn’t be back until much later. So David basically abandoned our appointment and lacked the common decency to give us a heads up that he wouldn’t make the appointment.
I even asked the other shopkeeper to ask David to give me a call later so that we could reschedule, which I might add was rather nice of me considering the circumstance. We never heard from David again. Pathetic.
Would you trust someone like this to watch your pet? Me thinks not. Avoid.

They always have the special food I need for my dog with allergies and the deliver for free on the same day. They are always polite and helpful and you can’t ask for more than that!

The guys here are such a pleasure. It’s a small store, but they have the essentials and my dog’s brand of food and all of his favorite treats.
They also offer home deliveries and dog-​walking services here. It’s always nice to shop local when they are always friendly, know my dog, and offer amazing customer service.

I arrived at Royal Pet Care without my wallet! Since I’m a regular customer Anthony allowed me to take a bag of dog food home and call later with my credit card. This was the nicest thing anyone has done for me in a long time — thank you!

Yesterday I went here and I picked up some dog food from them. I payed for it with a debit card and I checked the receipt but no my card. I checked it at the worst time and it had someone else’s name on it. It was so upset. I know I should have checked it. Everything was messed up. But on the good part there’d prices are great!

Noe is the best! His team is the best! They deliver food and supplies, they walk dogs, great prices!!!

Noe and the team at Royal Pet Care have been taking care of my dog, Oliver for the past three years that I’ve lived in the UWS. Noe is like a part of the family, and takes such good care of my dog… I cannot even begin to describe it.
Noe is there at a moment’s notice, always happy to help with everything that Oliver possibly could need and has gone well above and beyond on many occasions. One winter I found him shoveling out my car from a snow bank, and all he would accept was a cup of coffee as thanks. He even watered my plants for me on my patio during a heat spell over the summer when I was out of town.
Noe also takes Oliver home with him to board when I am traveling, and he is so happy when he comes back that I know he has been loved and taken care of while I’m away. Oliver even has his own set of toys that Noe’s little son has insisted on getting for him at his home away from home. He tells me that he and his family love my dog – and I believe they really do!
I’m excited to be moving to another part of the city, but honestly, leaving Noe and Royal Pet Care behind is one of the biggest disappointments. Hard-​working, conscientious, great with dogs and just an all and all nice person… My mom said it best, «everyone needs a Noe in their life.»
Do yourself a favor and welcome Noe and Royal Pet Care into your family. It was one of the best decisions I made when I moved to the city. Oliver and I will miss Noe terribly!
