i’ve been going to marta off and on for over 3 years now and she just keeps getting better and better! i had my last perfect skin facial about 2 weeks ago and my face still looks noticeably smoother and even. while i can’t afford to come in regularly for this full facial, marta let me know that i can just schedule mini facials in between to maintain — which is great. i also love that she never tries to upsell me or push products on me – she only recommends what she thinks will help, even if that means suggesting a less expensive option.
i’ve had an overflowing handful of skincare treatments in the past, but this is the one thing that is truly game changing.

Literally the best facial I’ve ever had. Beyond any expectation I had for the results that I received. I’ve been receiving compliments from friends and family asking «what are you doing to your skin that’s different?» I feel and look more youthful and refreshed. The Perfect Facial with some laser for redness treatment. I am thrilled.

I would like to start of by saying I have been struggling with my skin for years, until now. Celine is amazing! She really knows her stuff. She is so sweet, funny, and honest and does everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I have had a couple of facials with her and I always feel so good when I leave. She really does make your skin glow and it still feels and looks awesome. My mom even said my skin looks really great. If you ever want to treat yourself I highly recommend seeing her. And if your looking for laser hair removal she is your girl. I have gone to someone for almost a year and saw barely any results. With even just one session I see extraordinary results. I wish I meet her sooner. I will follow her wherever she goes. If you want a wonderful experience go see her! She is seriously the best and she cares about her clientele.

The spa is lovely, the décor is a mix of vintage and modern feminine and very clean!
Celine was very professional and had a great sense of humor, I felt very comfortable with her and she was very patient with my low pain tolerance to laser hair removal in certain areas, but it was definitely worth it and I can say after years of shaving and waxing this is the best result ever! I will be returning soon for sure!

I thank my lucky stars every day that I found skin laser studios. Before coming into skin laser, I was uneducated on the topic of skin, let alone my skin. I have learnt so much, from the fact that my skin is actually oily, that the make up and products I have been using are actually worsening my skin and those little habitual changes we can make to preserve our skin.
I love Marta and her team, particularly Celine. Marta was very kind the first day, as she understood that this was a huge process and not easy for a customer to digest in one day. She was flexible and extremely patient. And then I met Celine who I would end up having the best customer-​client relationship with, including friendship. Celine is perfect at her job. She knows exactly how to do those extractions without causing TOO much pain. She is sensitive to your skin and will constantly check in on you during the process. Also she keeps you entertained with her friendly conversations. I literally consider her as my fairy god mother for teaching me everything I need to know about my skin. The transformation of my skin is amazing. Family and friends around me say that I’m glowing! Considering that I am a performing artist this has been the best boost of confidence that no amount of make up and clothes can give you. Also, Celine is brilliant at keepining in touch with the appointment schedule and notifying you of any changes. She recommends products that are true to your skin and that ACTUALLY work! The vibe of the staff at Skin Laser (although small) is cosy and friendly. You feel at home at once. Shout out to Lily who works at the front desk at times who is an absolute darling and pleasure to see you as you walk into the studio!
We are bombarded with information about taking care of our body that we so often forget the most important organ, our skin. Do yourself a favor or do your skin a favor rather and go to skin laser studios. Yes they are a tad bit pricey but completely worthy of every penny.

The result of the laser hair removal was great! I got a good deal and didn’t even need an appointment!

They burned me because they were using the wrong laser and too high of a setting for my skin tone. They said they would make it up to me. Gave me some half used lotion and samples and told me to let them know which one worked – they were experimenting on me? I tried calling to follow up and no one returned my call. Unprofessional and they sanitize with windex! It took over a month for my skin to clear up and I had to go to a derm to get a prescription. Now going to Pulse laser and so far effective and not traumatizing.

I happened on this place a few years ago and since then this is the only place I trust with my skin. I see Marta and Celine for both facials and laser hair removal. Marta is the owner and has trained Celine to be just as good as her. The reason why I love it here is not only do they keep my skin looking flawless, but they are honest too! They just want the best for my skin. Every other place I’ve ever been for a facial pushes products down my throat. Marta is the first person that told me to stop using products and my skin actually improved! Granted I was 24 then and now I have been adding some products to my regimen. But they really truly care about you here, and they will get you the best results. As far as laser hair removal I am in the middle of my treatments and everything is great so far. It’s as painless as can be and they are understanding about what you can take. I am also excited for no more ingrowns! If you really want the best facial in New York and maybe the country, come here. Marta has told me if I keep up with the laser facials I won’t have wrinkles and that sounds promising to me.

I can’t rave about Marta enough! She is so knowledgeable and gets the job done. It’s not some boring massage facial; this is the real thing. Her laser hair removal techniques are swift and accurate as well. I’ve always been really skeptical about getting facials because I just pay for someone to rub some crap on my face and give me pimples for the following two weeks, but Marta gets right down to business and gets out your impurities and works on those sun spots. I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else for my skin needs!

This is exactly what I have been looking for. A no frills spa experience with no down time. The laser facial is very concentrated, every single thing she does has a purpose. No massages, useless cremes here. It’s a small space but there is everything she need to give you a glowing skin. Also, Marta is the owner and you have her every time you go there, not a 20 something year old with two weeks of training to take care of you.

I have had my share of traumatic facial experiences in both my adolescence and adulthood given my problematic/​combination skin. So I was of course wary when I walked into Marta’s office for the first time. But I can attest to all the previous reviews when I say I walked out of there looking/​feeling better than when I walked in. Marta is extremely meticulous and takes her time with you, giving you personalized treatments and offering advice for your particular skin type. I have been several times now and the difference is night and day. Don’t expect a fancy frilly Bliss-​type spa, but definitely do expect your life to be changed if you have problems with your skin and want to end your frustrations.

I’ve been going to Skin Laser Studios since earlier this year and I absolutely LOVE Marta. I’ve been dealing with problem acne skin for most of my adult life and after my first facial here, I noticed a HUGE difference. My skin hasn’t felt this great in years! Marta genuinely cares about your skin. She doesn’t try to sell products & will always give you samples to try before you commit to anything. Her goal is to get your skin to a stage where you don’t need to come to her as much. She is the owner & the only one who does your facial & has decades of experience. Plan accordingly to get an appointment. She spends 1 hr & 15 – 30 min on each of her full facials.
I’ve gone to her with severly clogged skin and let me tell you — I have never had extractions like this before. She got EVERYTHING out & was extremely patient in doing so. I always expect to walk out of a facial with battered skin (for reference, I was a Mario Badescu client for years) but I often come out of a facial with Marta looking BETTER than when I went in. I am not kidding!
I always do my research with everything from restaurants to facials/​massages & everything in between & I highly recommend Marta if you are looking for glowing skin!

I came here for the first time last year with a Groupon for a laser facial last year. It was a pleasant experience and I have returned multiple times after that for laser hair removal.
Marta and April are both great. Very friendly and helpful. They are both informative and have answered all my many questions patiently. There is usually only one of the two present so if you are calling to make an appointment, don’t expect any one to pick up the phone. They are usually with someone.
The laser hair removal is affordable here too.

Marta is amazing. Not only does your skin get better with her expertise, but you learn about your skin in the meantime. I will be a customer for as long as I can get to 23^rd street! It is not just a relaxing experience, but knowledge in order to get your skin in better shape.

April is fantastic, so glad I accidentally found this place over a year ago… she really knows her stuff and the prices are reasonable (I still think this place is one of the best)

I just had my first perfection skin facial with April this week. I’ve always been self-​conscious about my skin. I can already see a difference, and one of my friends said that I was glowing yesterday. April was helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly as she explained every step to me. I love that she didn’t try to sell me a bunch of expensive products, either– she had suggestions for simple, gentle products that I could buy at the drugstore for daily use, and she helped me find a long-​term plan for improvement. Even though I have sensitive skin that turns red easily, April’s careful work and soothing products let me leave the office with barely any redness or swelling. I booked my next appointment right away.

I was introduced to this studio by my roommate, who has been getting facials from Marta for about 3 months now. You can easily see a difference in your skin even after your first session.
I was new to the experience of having lasers during a facial and Marta made me extremely comfortable by explaining each step of the process.
It is definitely a medical spa, no robes or scented oils, ect. But, it is well worth the added monthly expense for beautiful, glowing, zit free skin.

My friend introduced me to this place around two years ago and I have been coming here since.
I really appreciate very professional environment of this facility but the most of all — the way how Marta Rodriguez and her staff took care of me ;professional but very personal at the same time. I knew right the way — I was in good hands of people who truly want to help me by finding the best solution for my skin problems I was dealing with since I was a teenager .
The space: conveniently located in heart of Chelsea, small, clean, comfortable and unpretentious. I have very sensitive skin and many times before I discovered Skin Laser Studio I would always try different spas around the city but every time after the treatment I would leave with my face extremely red and break out even more after a facial. Finally I found the place that is all about finding the best solution for my skin problems and directly treating it with out all that mantra music, overpriced products and people who simply don’t care!
I recommend this place for people like my self with very oily, acne prone & sensitive skin. They use great products, safe techniques and innovative lasers, and their prices are very reasonable. I always get the Perfect Skin package (is about $ 250) –there is a natural coffee peeling, aroma therapy steam (for clogged pores and relaxation), extractions, microdermobrasion, acne peel, collagen stimulation with a use of Smooth Beam laser, and for dessert… calming alge mask .
I love this place! Just recently I started treatment of my worst nightmare — acne on my back and arms, they recommended laser /​acne peel treatment –every three weeks to begin with, tomorrow I am awaiting my third visit and my arms and back is looking better already I am sooo happy ! Fire Island season its almost here and I can‘t wait to go to the beach and show off my «new» skin !!!
Ok …I was about to stop here with my review but there is so much more of the great experience and help I got from this place… besides my acne problems my chest and back is smooth as (you know what) …that’s right: laser hair removal !
I love it !!! A little pain, few sessions and I NEVER again have to shop for Nair (Hallelujah!)
…there is one more, they also offer all types of other treatments including known to everyone Botox, Juvoderm, etc… You guessed right… I also treated my self to little filler here and there, and again: LOVING IT !!!
