Swifto Dog Walking

An email about their new policies (yay, no more different prices for sporadic walking!) reminded me that I’ve been meaning to review these guys for some time.
I have a regular dog walker, but my job hours can sometimes be unpredictable so when I need someone to feed my dog and walk him in the evening short notice, Swifto is my go-​to. No matter how short notice I’ve needed them, they’ve always come through. We communicate mostly in text, but the people on the administrative end are always so wonderful and professional. I have had several of their walkers walk my dog, but my favorite is Katherine. I haven’t met her in person, but she’s very sweet!
Certain features they use are also very reassuring, especially if you’re a nervous parent like me. Each walker has a profile so you can learn all about them after they’re assigned, you’re notified by text when the walk begins, you’re notified when your dog defecates (especially helpful when you have a brat like mine), and you get to see through the GPS tracking where they went afterward.
I’m eternally grateful to Swifto for being such a great service in my time of need repeatedly and would recommend them to anyone who needs a dog walker.

Swifto is truly a top-​notch company. From the professionalism of their office staff, to the ease of use of their website, and easy invoicing, they handle everything perfectly. Not to mention, the dog walkers are the best! We have been using Swifto for over 2 years and have had some great walkers. Our regular walker, Mikalya, is the absolute best and our dog Mooch loves her. My wife and I love reading the updates from their walks and feel assured she is in good hands at all times. Mikalya is always punctual and keeps us in the loop as to her arrival time. We truly feel blessed to have her as Mooch’s walker! We have been using Swifto for over three years now, and my husband and I could not be happier! In that time, we’ve had several walkers through Swifto, all of which were good, but we won the jackpot with our current walker Mikayla. She is amazing. I can tell Mikayla loves our little dog Wally, and takes care of our little baby dog like she was her own. I’m never worried about Wally because I know she is in the best hands. And the best part are the amazing summary notes I get daily from Mikayla, telling me about their walk together, Wally’s behavior, and any funny little things Wally might do during the day. I look forward to these texts, as it really helps me understand what is going on with my pup, and puts a smile on my face. And she even takes the time to give Wally belly rubs, which my dog loves! I would recommend Mikayla and Swifto to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, compassionate, and caring dog walker. The BEST!

I have been using Swifto for a few months now, and am incredibly happy with our walker Ruben! I can tell he loves spending the time with my dog Charlie, and I have had validation from multiple sources (roommates, doormen) that he is always very caring and attentive to her! I very much appreciate the extra things he does – like sending me warnings/​pictures of rat poison in nearby areas to avoid, or sending me a heads up if he might be a few minutes late. We were unhappy with our dog walker for our new puppy and wanted to make sure he was in the best hands possible. We looked around briefly and it seemed obvious that Swifto was the way to go. Well — we couldn’t be happier with our decision. We got so lucky with our walker, Ruben. We get a notification when he shows up, and leaves– along with updates during their walk and a daily picture. We can see how he cares for our puppy and we feel more than comfortable knowing he is in great hands while we are at work. If you need a trustworthy service, choose Swifto (and ask for Ruben)!!!

I’ve been using Swifto for several months now and I’m very pleased with the service. I’ve had dog walkers before that I always wondered whether or not they spent the amount of time with my dog that I had paid for. Swifto’s live tracking shows me when and where my dog was taken and it’s nice to get a smiling photo of him in the middle of a busy day. They’re website is great and easy to use and any questions I’ve sent by email were always answered promptly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dog walker in NYC.

I have been using Swifto for about a year now. Initially, I had some difficulty in finding a consistent and reliable walker. But for the past few months now I have had Oliver Thayer and he has been really great! He is consistent, reliable, and is great with my greyhound who can be timid especially around men. I’m super pleased with my experience using Swifto Dog Walking service for my pup. The features I love the most:
— complimentary meet-​and-​greet with the walker before they start taking your dog out
— really excellent and responsive customer service
— text updates: when the walk starts, ends, when your dog poops (haha!), a summary of the walk from the walker, and a photo of your dog on the walk
— you can watch the path of the walk from their website
— solo walks that really truly are the amount of time you pay for
— an easy-​to-​use calendar on their website where you can schedule and cancel walks.
I’m glad I picked Swifto and will keep using them. Recommend!

Was really excited to try Swifto. If you can do the regular schedule (= 3 regular walks a week) and you have a good walker, like we initially did it’s great. When we moved to «sporadic» because I travel on business, our cost nearly doubled and we were assigned random walkers all the time no matter how far in advance we booked. The walkers started showing up after the two-​hour block we paid $ 35/​walk for. The website is terrible and full of bugs; you cannot add additional walks (always receive an error no matter what device or browser). We asked for a credit for two missed walks and said we wanted to end our arrangement at the end of the current month, but Swifto cancelled all of our remaining walks instead leaving is in the lurch. I would look elsewhere unless you have a completely regular/​unchanging schedule and are ok emailing and waiting 24 hours for a response every time you need to modify something.

Walter LOVES his Swifto Walkers… Donny Boetger & Audrey Twitchell are like family to him and to us :) We are one of «those» couples whose dog is our child with fur — so having support, care takers, playmates, quality dependable, likeable, lovable dog walkers like Donny & Audrey are PRICELESS!!! Every day not only does Walter go on a new adventure, we get photos, stories and updates both on the physical and emotional and more than anything else have peace of mind that Walter is happy, healthy and loved. Love this service. Sara Erental does such a great job with my Riley. And I love that I get a text every time my dog poops. Highly recommend this service.

Sara Erenthal has been walking our pooch twice a day and our doggie loves her. Sara has been very caring, professional and responsible. Sara cares about Cleo and it gives us peace of mind. On a lighter note, she sends us great pictures and keeps us posted on the walks. Our experience has been great to date.

I was reading reviews and Jason’s review here below describes exactly what happened to me. I had left a positive review as I was asked to do it, but now it’s time to leave a proper one after I have used the service for few months.
Main points of concern:
1. Walker asked after few days of service to write a review for him so he would get a bonus. As soon as I wrote the review the quality of the service went down the drain.
2. Turnover is terrible. I saw ⁶⁄₇ walkers in a two-​month time frame.
3. GPS sometimes doesn’t work, and when it does some of the walkers stated fake times. One time the walker went out for 6 minutes and reported he was out for more than 30 mins. Dropcam doesn’t lie… luckily.
4. Walkers are not trained and many of them are young students who use Swifto as a side job to earn some money.

Great experience with Swifto so far. Merritt’s current Dylan Kasprzyk is patient, sends great photos and is very responsive. He even texted to ask where a towel in the apartment was to wipe Merritt off after a rainy walk! Only complaint is the cancellation policy — not super flexible for people with last minute work schedules.

Easy to setup and my dog seemed happy. No complaints. Called customer service a few times for logistics and they were polite and responsive.

Swifto is amazing. They have excellent walkers who come when scheduled, feed and play with your dog and some even train them like the excellent Ryan Santiago. You get a notification when the walker arrives then a short summary of the visit and then a notification when they leave. They also send you a picture of your dog. It’s perfect! Highly recommend.

Samantha is wonderful. She takes the best pictures with my dogs. Brinkley and Russo wait by the door for Samantha to come. I feel confident and assured that my dogs are in great care when she walks them. Thank you Samantha for giving me one less thing to worry about.

I have been using Swifto for over a year now and love love love them! Though we’ve been through a few different walkers over this time, each and every one has been amazingly attentive to my pup Hazel and has shown her the same love that I give her. This service has put my mind at ease when it comes to caring for my fur baby. Our current walker, Katherine Smith (#26 219), has been the best with Hazel. Katherine has great energy that I know Hazel loves and takes full advantage of on their daily walks and, if it’s rainy, playing inside. I would recommend her, or anyone at Swifto, to someone looking for a dog walker! Trustful, reliable, understanding, & companionate!
Plus, they are pretty tech savvy! Real-​time mapped walks, photos, recaps of the walk, and, my favorite, poop texts! What more could you ask for?! (except to stay home with your pup everyday instead of going to work) :)

After using several different dog walking companies I really think that Swifto is the best. Our walker, Louise, is super attentive, on time, and really truly loves our dog Chewy. She also provides us with amazing artsy shots of Chewy while they are walking. I love the Swifto app and how professional it is, I get a text when Louise has started walking Chewy and I can also see if he has met other dogs during the walk, and where they went.
Swifto also has great customer service, they are always reliable and will quickly find a replacement walker if Louise is out sick or on vacation. Really great quality service for a great price! I highly recommend it!

Swifto was recommended by a friend of ours and aren’t we glad she did. We loved our original walker Garrett but he left to pursue another career opportunity. After Garrett we were assigned to Khalea.
She was great! We got «progress reports» and cute pics after every walk and she made sure that our dog got exercise even when the weather was crummy out (she would play fetch with him in the house).
The team at Swifto is very professional and their website is super convenient and great with scheduling appointments.
