I found the Irish Ivy late and now it’s closed. I regret not having found it earlier, but at least me and my friends were able to appreciate it for the two weeks we were going. The Ivy was conveniently located from Pace Midtown, which is why we went there after class. The nice thing about the Ivy is that not only does it have good beers and friendly people, they also have a large second floor if you are coming with a large group. You can sit down at the tables or lounge around on the sofas. The Ivy was a great bar and I will miss it dearly.

Came in for dinner with a friend pre-broadway show. I would say it was what we were looking for in the fact that it was right in the theater district and a fast in and out so that we could get to our show in time. I had a chicken caesar salad. the chicken was a little dry(I probably should have just asked for some extra dressing though). Strangely, I don’t know how you mess up croutons but I thought the croutons were so buttery and gross that I couldn’t eat them. Otherwise, it was a decent salad. Not dying to go back but I would if I needed a quick place to eat before a show again. Would probably try something else from the menu though.

Very fair prices for the location. I ordered a burger and fries. Refills for soda are not free but you get a large sized glass.

Great waiter with terrific Irish accent. Makes all the difference from one bar to another. Food is pretty good. If in the neighborhood would definitely go back.
