Stopped here while walking on the highline. Very convenient. I had the pollo taco and the taco al pastor. Both were yummy. My husband had the pollo and barbacoa taco and he liked them both. Would stop again if we were walking the highline again.

Horrible wait, do not come here. Understaffed & will waste an hour of your precious time in this damn line. One employee did register & stuffed tacos, one made them & one sat it out.

Long wait and food was meh – the tacos were not«special» and you could make it at home for cheaper. Paid $ 6 for two tacos that were about the size of my palm. Cashier and workers are super friendly though; but I would pass this place and go instead to get tacos inside Chelsea Market which were WAY better.

Pathetic and terrible in every way possible. I would rather set my money on fire than ever give them my business again — rice was disgusting and overcooked — beans were not given(because they weren’t cooked) without warning, despite being included as written on the menu — super slow service despite me being the only customer DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYANDTIME

Decent, but not as good as their other locations. Try their tacos at the Hoboken location and you won’t be as disappointed. Although my tacos were tasty, they were not nearly as good as NJ.

Overall disappointing. After an interminable wait with only 6 people ahead of us, we ordered 3 vegan burritos, 1 with no veggies, 2 mild and one with chipotle. They had to charge us full price for the burrito with no veggies. Ok, limited iPad app. The order arrived 3 with crema and all with chipotle. We settled for taking the crema, but asked them to redo the chipotle and make it mild, and hold the crema, like we asked the first time. The burritos were unremarkable. The flavors were indistinct. The chipotle was not spicy at all. Not worth the wait or the money.

I’ve had The Taco Truck previously at another location and really enjoyed their kale and potato taco. Sadly they didn’t have it this time so I went with a carnitas burrito and added pickled onions. The taco was pretty good and flavorful. It was a good size and I would say it’s comparable to Chipotle. The only negative about it was some of the rice was undercooked and crunchy. I would probably eat here again.

The tacos and tortas are pretty good. Not the best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but it’s a good stop to eat after walking the Highline. The tacos come in twos($ 6) with your choice of meat. Each time I’ve had them, they could have been a bit warmer. I will say that they do a good job piling on the sauce, so beware because it can get a bit messy! The people who work there are great and incredibly friendly. Super down to earth and fun! Also, the incredible view from the Highline is a huge plus. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite and enjoy the view of the water. Also, they take cards!

The Taco Truck NY: Manhattan: High Line 4pm Saturday 24th May 2015 Two Stars They ran out of bunch of stuff. They only had beef and pork. An order is $ 6 for Two Tacos. They give you a luke warm tortilla and plop of meat. That is their idea of a taco. The pork was fine but the beef was way too salty.

Was not impressed. I waited forever for my taco and held up the group I was with. People who ordered after me got their order before me. The taco shells were a bit stale and the chicken was a bit dry. However, if i didnt pay extra for the guac i wouldnt think it was worth it. The guac was fresh and crunchy with fresh onions and the pickled onions were a nice touch. Wouldnt want to go back.

Terrible service, bland food that is assembled inexpertly by sullen employees. Skip it!

Yikes. Late lunch on a weekday, not a time you’d expect chaotic service, especially with four guys behind the counter. But that’s the least of it. Guacamole was terrible, pineapple vinaigrette was pure garlic, and the pork was rock solid. My husband’s tacos, unfortunately were also pork. so we did not try the other options.

Not the best tacos but they were decently good. I’ve only been here once but the wait wasn’t bad and it was a weekend so I guess I got lucky — got my food after about 5 – 10 minutes. I ordered the taco al pastor, which is usually my favorite and this one was just okay. It didn’t have as much flavor as I was expecting and the meat was a bit dry.

I’ve had better. The meat was dry and the taco itself was dry and stale. The flavoring was ok.

Having lived in Oklahoma and been to Texas many times, these tacos reminded me of the authentic, flavor packed kind that I miss! Love the corn tortillas and that their ingredients are organic/responsibly produced!

I tried the Taco Truck on Hoboken’s Pier 13 on a very hot day and the food was delicious. The service was courteous and helpful. There were a few of us so we got to pick from each others pollo asado, Barbacoa, and Al Pastor with the Al Pastor being my favorite but I should admit I’m very biased towards them. They didn’t have any drinks on the day we went which was as shame because it was so hot but we were safe with the bar right on the pier. The truck accepts credit cards which is always a big plus and the guacamole containers they server should be enough to handle three tacos so order those accordingly. The sour cream can probably span between two and three depending on if you want food with that sour cream. Another friend of mine ordered a torta and I can’t speak for it since I didn’t try it but if his moaning and groaning was anything to go by, it was delicious.

We worked up an appetitive walking the Highline, so we decided to grab a chicken quesadilla and chips and guacamole to share. The quesadilla was good! We had to wait a short time for it to be prepared because it’s quite freshly prepared. It was hot and tasty when we got it, and we ate it quickly. The guacamole was great. We found the chips to be a tad salty, though. A pretty good lunch!

With so many other options on and below the high-line, this isn’t worth the trouble. The food is ok(just ok), but the wait time and prices are not. It took 35 minutes for them to make one order of tacos and one torta, and while the staff was kind and apologetic about the wait time — the food just wasn’t remarkable enough to be worth that wait when you’re really just looking for a quick bite. If you’re willing and able to wait 35 minutes for a meal, go to Ovest Pizzoteca, beneath the park, instead.

Dropped by on a busy day(are any days on the High Line not busy anymore? sad…) and grabbed the hongos tacos for $ 5.50(They were out of drinks). Pretty tasty but nothing I would swing back for, especially since they seemed to be the only option for me. Staff was friendly, food was fresh but consequently emerged pretty slowly. Terrible name choice in the age of search algorithms.

I had spent the evening walking a couple of miles and then added the High Line to my route. I was starving and was so glad to not be disappointed here. I got two of the carnitas michoacan — slow braised sweet pork with onions, cilantro, and fresh green salsa. I also added guacamole. Holy guac! The pork was so tasty and completely satisfied my hunger. I really liked the tortillas, super fresh, soft, and warm. They put three tortillas, they’re kind of heavy. I tried to eat only two, but that easily did not happen. The service was really friendly. They were ready to clean up and go home, but let me be the last customer. I’ve tried the Taco Truck before in Jersey City, but this time it made a lasting impression. Good stuff! Can’t wait to go back to another location.
