They moved a piano from CT and Westchester and it was smooth, on time and friendly. Would recommend them for similar services.

I am afraid I wish I could retract THE STELLAR REVIEW I GAVE. …The first two-​three moves were great. The last!!!
The custom credenza arrived smashed (not his fault) he kindly offered to send it to his ‘guy’ to fix it — quoted approx 600. This fiasco lasted 6 weeks with excuses beyond the beyond including the repair guy was off the raiL AND THE PRICE DOUBLED. I WAS CHARGED 1200
Finally, get it fixed. In moving it, he rips the top off. Scramble scramble –Another three months. When delivering it again, he takes the doors off AND CANNOT GET THEM ON AGAIN! Promises to return — NEVER DOES! Stops communicating with me except the TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL reply of ‘WHO IS THIS?’ and little frowning emoticons.

Absolutely insane! If you want to deal with a typical Italian jersey idiot… this is the place to come! Rude, mouthy, threatening you after half your life is loaded on a truck, farthest thing from one rate and check your trash bins as his immigrant workers do not understand English and throw your stuff in the garbage instead of the truck! And bo exaggeration when i say «throw»!
I would bet they are illegals picked up at a corner.
You get what you pay for people! We also had to call the cops as our stuff was loaded into some illegally run companies warehouse and it all sat there well beyond our delivery date with no word from the infamous «Vince «about the situation as we rushed cross country to make it in time for nothing. He will be rude, take your down payment and immediately go on vacation and ignore your calls. Not to mention leave half your belongings behind and still charge you since they we’re on the contract. They are not in control of your unloaders if you leave state. But he will charge you a high gratuity fee for workers who do not receive those extra funds!
These other highly rated posts are bogus reviews! Be smart people! He’s a game player that thinks his gift to gab doesn’t make him sound like an uneducated scam artist!

Total sham and feds are on his ass after this fiasco. His game is over and he deserves to be shut down.
Google his address and go there! Its not legit! Call consumer affairs! They will explain our risks with this company. If only i did my research instead of trusting a typical jerk guido!

By far the best moving experience I have ever had! (And I have moved a lot!!!)
Living in a very busy-​city-​area of the Bronx, I was incredibly nervous about the move. Not to mention, living in a three floor walk up… I was worried about my stuff getting damaged, and how hard it would be to move everything out and into a truck. I mean. where would they park? But these guys had it all figured out! The night before they came by and blocked off a corner of my side street closest to the building entrance so they would have no problem. They were so prepared! The team called me in advance to let me know they were on there way, and confirmed the address with me. They brought three guys (who were the nicest movers I have ever met.) I know personality doesn’t really matter to some. but to me, knowing these guys were gentlemen, I had a little more confidence that they would move all of my things with care and not roughly pack everything up and ship it off. Not to mention, these guys were FASTTT!!! They came in, listened to me explain what was heavy and what wasn’t… and what of my things was «valuable» and needed extra care. The company books you for a «flat rate» which is an exact cost based on your online Q&A of how much stuff you need to move — which is calculated with an estimated amount of time it will take. The time they booked was WAY more than enough … 6 – 8 hours or so was the estimate they gave me, but the move was SOOOO fast. SERIOUSLY. They arrived 15 minutes early. and in about 2 or three hours I was all settled into my new place. The furniture was broken down carefully, and they reassembled everything in the new place… They brought tons of equipment and tools to carefully rap the large framed pictures and televisions I had … In addition, when they brought everything to the new place, they asked me «where does this go?» «where do you want this?» They were so kind, so fast, and left me feeling: «My new life in my new place is starting off on a great foot!»
The one thing I would mention is that even though they give you an «exact quote» based on your questionnaire, they do in fact charge you a small commission percentage on top of that once the move actually happens. Just take that into consideration when budgeting for your move. And also their tip. The commission rate is not enough for how amazing these guys were.

TERRIBLE, EXTREMELY (UNECESSARILY) STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE due almost solely to the complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, people-​and-​problem-​resolution skills by the head of the local branch of Tri-​State One Rate Movers, VINCE. I actually had to resort to calling the police in the middle of this ordeal, seeing no other way to deal with him or the damages and danger to my and my roommate’s possessions.
As a first-​time user of a moving company, I made some apparently common rookie mistakes that have cost me very dearly. Please learn from mine to avoid this awful experience.
Some tips ands suggestions:
(1) Inventory /​Contract: I have since found out that real professional movers, unlike Tri-​State One Rate Movers, should conduct an in-​house inventory in advance of the move. In that way, there are no surprises to either party. A lot of unethical mover companies, like Tri-​State One Movers, will simply take a list over the phone or e-​mail. If the customer is one box over, then the customer is in «breach of the contract» and the fees start to add up. In my naiveté, I simply e-​mailed a list over to them a few weeks before the move. Unfortunately, my list quickly became woefully inaccurate over time. (My fault. I will admit.) Vince became very agitated and demanded more money IN CASH (an additional $ 575) in order to complete the move. He refused to even accept a money order or certified check. Demanded cold hard cash «since I stabbed in the back once and would do it to him again.» His ability to work out the situation in a polite and professional matter was non-​existent. His overreaction was completely unnecessary since there was a clause in the contract stating a fee per box over the stated limit. His overreaction, drama and refusal to approach the situation with calmness or sense of resolution caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
(2) Have a back up plan: From the moment I met Vince, he was extremely rude and unprofessional. My first impression: I politely asked him to request for the two movers not to smoke in the moving van. Vince’s reply: «What?! In the 22 years I have been in this business, I have never heard anyone ask that. EVER!»
And it went downhill from that moment on.
(BTW. Vince allowed his movers to continue to smoke in the van but used air fresher to hide the smell. I kid you not.)
In retrospect, I really should have had a back up plan since I needed to be out of the apartment on that day. I had no choice but to tolerate Vince’s bullying.
(3) Photos: Do take photos of all your possessions.
During the move, the leg of my sofa got busted. At this point, I was so exhausted and felt so threatened, I decided not to complain. However, the two movers did notify Vince who was unloading the van downstairs. Vince had a major fit, called me a liar and told me that the sofa was already broken before the move! He then produced a tiny piece of cling-​wrap and informed me that the cling-​wrap had held the leg together before the move. I responded that regardless of the cling-​wrap, I now couldn’t sit on the aforementioned sofa as a result of the move. Vince literally cursed me out and threatened not to deliver my roommate’s possessions. (They were making two stops.) That’s when I called the police.
(Vince did eventually deliver those items but several of those also sustained substantial damage.)
(4) Payment: Real professional movers, unlike Tri-​State One Movers, will agree to take your payment /​tips after the customer is all moved in and satisfied. That is what Vince and I agreed upon on the phone. Unfortunately, since I was in «breach of the contract», he demanded all the money plus the extra $ 575 AND a 15% TIP up front. I had no choice since he literally had all my possessions and my roommate’s held captive.
A terrible and traumatic experience.

Tri-​State One Rate Movers was recommended to me by a friend. I was overwhelmed with trying to pack up a two bedroom apt and make a move from Yonkers NY to North Salem, NY with a stop to my storage unit which is in Dover NY. These guy’s didn’t bat a eye! They were so awesome and made my moving experience totally stress free. Furniture had to be taken apart, then put back together again, which they did for me with a smile. I really couldn’t be happier with the service. Thank you so much, Tri-​state.

Great service, both on the phone and day of the move. Gave me the lowest quote out of the handful of moving companies I called, just note that they automatically throw in 15% gratuity onto your bill.
The movers called me in the morning to say they might be 15 – 20 minutes late, but were actually not late at all. They were very efficient in moving my things out and into their van, and got to my destination 3 hours later, right on time. Very smooth move, and I would use them again!

Absolutely amazing service.
Was in a huge bind as I had to make a quick move on short notice. Called up the guys on a Monday for a Wednesday move of the same week and filled out an online form of how much stuff I had to move.
As soon as I filled the form, I recieved an email confirmation stating I’d hear back from someone. Within the hour Vinny called and went over my move. Said the short lead time was no problem and they could get it done for a great rate. The guys showed up on time punctually and were professional and helpful!
Got everything moved out of my old place and into the new one extremely quickly and efficiently. Highly recommed these guys– honest, helpful and super professional! Would not hesitate to move with them again.

I highly recommend Tri-​State Flat Rate Movers. We moved my daughter from an elevator building to a second floor walk up. As we all know, moving is very stressful, especially when moving into a small older building walk up. From the very start the 3 guys that moved us were extremely courteous and accommodating. They called right away when they realized they were running late due to very heavy rain and traffic, not unusual for New York City. Once everything was finally in the truck and we reached the walk up, the guys had everything under control. Anything extra that we requested was never a problem. I was very pleased with the whole transaction. They delivered as promised and took special care of my valuables. The owner is a pleasure to deal with. Rates were great and very punctual. If ever I move again I will use this company for sure
